Trotz seiner „nur“ 650 Watt Leistung hat das Gerät einen erstaunlich hohen
Nebelausstoß. Gleichzeitig zeichnet sich die Spaceball II durch niedrigen
Strom- und Fluidverbrauch aus.
Somit sind die Betriebskosten günstig und das Gerät ist gleichzeitig energies-
parend. Durch die handlichen Abmessungen und das geringe Gewicht läßt
sich die Maschine gut transportieren und ist fast überall einsetzbar.
1. Allgemeines
Despite its “only” 650 watts of power, the device has an amazingly high smoke
output. Simultaneously, the Spaceball II is characterized by low power- and
uid consumption.
Thus, the operating costs are low and the unit is also energy ecient. The
handy dimensions and low weight makes the machine easy to transport and
to be used almost anywhere.

Eine Nebelmaschine ist kein Spielzeug!
• Aus der Nebelaustrittsöffnung tritt sehr heißer Dampf aus.
Verbrennungsgefahr!
• Während des Betriebes können vereinzelt sehr heiße Fluid-
Tröpfchen aus der Nebelaustrittsöffnung austreten. Deshalb nie
auf Personen nebeln und einen Sicherheitsabstand von 3 m zur
Nebelaustrittsöffnung einhalten.
• Während des Betriebes niemals an der Nebelaustrittsöffnung
hantieren. Verbrennungsgefahr!
• Der Standort muss eine nicht entammbare, nicht brennbare
und nicht wärme empndliche Stelläche in ausreichender
Größe, mindestens aber in doppelter Grundäche des
Gerätes sein.
• Einen Mindestabstand von 60 cm zu entammbaren, brenn-
baren und wärme empindlichen Gegenständen einhalten.
• Glycole sind Alkohole und brennen mit einer leicht bläuli-
chen, fast unsichtbaren Flamme. Deshalb niemals in starke
Zündquellen wie offenes Feuer oder Pyro-Effekte nebeln.
• Ein an eine Stromquelle angeschlossenes Gerät nie öffnen und
nie unbeaufsichtigt lassen.
• Die Sichtweite nicht unter 2 m sinken lassen. Sie tragen die
Verantwortung für Personen, die sich im vernebelten
Raum bewegen.
2. Sicherheitshinweise
A fog machine is not a toy!
• From the nozzle comes out very hot steam.
Danger of burns!
• During operation, Occasionally very hot droplets of
uid escape from the Fog nozzle. Thus never
aim at persons directly and use at a safe distance
of 3 m from the nozzle.
• During operation, Never touch the nozzle.
Danger of burns!
• The location must be non-ammable, and non-heat-
sensitive. The oor space should be of sucient size,
but at least be twice as big as the device.
• Keep a minimum distance of 60 cm to combustible
and heat-sensitive electronic objects.
• Glycol is alcohol and burns with a slightly bluish,
almost invisible ame. Therefore, never fog into strong
sources of ignition like re or pyrotechnic eects.
• Never open or leave an to a power source connected
device unattended.
• The visibility should not drop below 2 m. You are
responsible for those moving in the misty space.

• Do not drink Fog uid. Keep away from children. In
case of eye contact rinse with much water. In case of
accidental ingestion, consult a doctor and show uid
container.
• Spilled uid or splashed uid droplets can cause a
slip hazard. Absorb uid and dispose.
• Fog can activate smoke detectors.
• Articial mist can be generated in various ways. The
here applied generating method, with mist vaporizer
smoke machines, is the least dangerous.
• There is no case known to us, in which a normal
healthy person by the use of this articial fog in some
way has been harmed.Guaranteed if the professional
fog generators are used correctly, evaporation tem
peratures are good and the correct fog uid is used.
• However, we recommend: People with health problems
or problems of the airways or allergies should avoid
contact with articial fog.
• Nebeluid nicht einnehmen. Von Kindern fernhalten. Bei Au-
genkontakt mit viel Wasser ausspülen.
Bei versehentlicher Einnahme Arzt aufsuchen.
• Verschüttetes Fluid oder verspritzte Fluid-Tröpfchen können
Rutschgefahr auslösen. Fluid aufnehmen und
vorschriftsmäßig entsorgen.
• Nebel kann Rauchmelder auslösen.
• Kunstnebel kann auf verschiedene Arten erzeugt werden.
Die hier angewandte Methode, Nebel mit Verdampfer-Nebel-
maschinen zu erzeugen, ist dabei die ungefährlichste.
• Es ist uns kein Fall bekannt, in dem ein normal gesunder
Mensch durch die Verwendung dieses künstlichen Nebels in
irgendeiner Weise zu Schaden gekommen wäre. Voraussetzung
ist die Anwendung professioneller Nebelgeräte mit korrekten
Verdampfungstemperaturen und den darauf
abgestimmten Nebeluiden.
• Dennoch empfehlen wir: Erkrankte Personen oder Personen
mit Vorschäden der Atemwege oder Neigung zu Allergien
sollten den Kontakt mit Theaternebel meiden!

4.1 General
The Spaceball II is designed for use with
Smoke Factory fog uids.
The following Smoke Factory - fog uids are available:
Fast-fog: very fast disappearing fog uid
Super-Fog: Long-lasting standard fog uid
Heavy fog: extremely long lasting uid with a particularly
high proportion of raw materials. For large spaces and
open air
Designer Fog: Special uid for producing long-lasting
mist for professional Light and laser design, especially
good reection, long time, completely odorless
The use of third party uids will void the warranty on
parts directly in contact with the uid.
PLEASE NOTE: The vaporizer of our machines should
NOT be cleaned!
On the market oered cleaners, will seriously damage
the vaporizer! The warranty will void in this case.
4.2 Filling the uid container
- Disconnect the uid tube from the quick coupling
by retracting the brass collar / Quick coupling [Fig.1, 6].
- Remove the canister from the holder.
- Unscrew the lid [Fig.1, 7] of the empty container
and ll it with Fog uid. Pay attention to cleanliness!
- Place the full container into the tank housing.
- Push the brass back rmly into the quick connector
until it clicks and the brass collar is tted properly.
4.1 Allgemeines
Die Spaceball II ist für die Verwendung mit
Smoke Factory - Nebeluiden konzipiert.
Folgende Smoke Factory - Nebeluide sind erhältlich:
Fast-Fog: sehr schnellauösendes Nebeluid
Super-Fog: langanhaltendes Standart-Nebeluid
Heavy-Fog: extrem langanhaltendes Fluid mit besonders hohem
Rohstoffanteil. Für große Räume und Open-Air
Designer-Fog: Spezialuid zur Erzeugung von langanhaltendem
Dunst für professionelles Licht- und Laserdesign, besonders
gutes Reexionsverhalten, hohe Standzeit, völlig geruchslos
Bei Verwendung von Fremduiden erlischt die Garantie auf Teile,
die direkt mit dem Fluid in Berührung kommen.
BITTE BEACHTEN: Der Verdampfer unserer Geräte muss NICHT
gereinigt werden!
Auf dem Markt angebotene Reinigungsüssigkeiten, sogen-
annte Cleaner, können dem Verdampfer schaden! Die Garantie
erlischt in diesem Falle.
4.2 Befüllen des Fluidkanisters
– Lösen Sie die Stecktülle aus der Schnellkupplung durch
Zurückschieben der Arretierhülse / Schnellkupplung
[Abb.1, 6].
– Ziehen Sie den Kanister aus der Halterung.
– Schrauben Sie den Tankdeckel [Abb.1, 7] von dem leeren
Kaniste rund füllen Sie diesen mit Nebeluid.
Auf Sauberkeit achten!
– Schieben Sie den vollen Kanister in das Kanisterfach zurück.
– Stecken Sie die Stecktülle wieder fest in die Schnellkupplung,
bis Sie ein Klicken hören und die Stecktülle fest arretiert ist.

5.1 Selecting the location
The location in which you operate the Spaceball II must:
• Be dry
• Be free from dusty or polluted air
• Be vibration and shock-free
• Be a non-ammable place
• Be well-ventilated with fog-free air
• Have an ambient temperature between 5 ° C and 45 ° C
• Have a relative humidity below 80%
5.2 Putting into operation
a. Plug the power cord into a grounded outlet. Make
sure that the correct voltage (230 V/50 Hz) is provided. In
the display of the control panel a “P” and two gures is
shown.
5.1 Auswahl des Standortes
Der Standort, an dem Sie die Spaceball II betreiben, muß:
• trocken sein
• frei von staubiger oder verschmutzter Luft sein
• vibrations- und erschütterungsfrei sein
• eine nicht entammbare Stelläche sein
• gut mit frischer, nebelfreier Luft belüftet sein
• eine Umgebungstemperatur zwischen 5° C und 45° C haben
• eine relative Luftfeuchte von unter 80% haben
5.2 Inbetriebnahme allgemein
a. Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in eine Schutzkontaktsteckdose.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass die richtige Betriebsspannung (230
V/50 Hz) vorliegt. Im Leuchtzifferndisplays des Bedienfeldes
erscheint ein “P” und zwei Zahlen.

5.3 Switching OFF
a. Press the Mode button [Fig.3, 14] repeatedly
until “OFF” appears. After 15 Seconds turns
the unit o automatically. In the lower right
corner of the Display you see a red dot.
You can use the device within 15 seconds by
pressing the Enter key [Fig.3, 16].
5.3 Ausschalten allgemein
a. Drücken Sie die Mode-Taste [Abb.3, 14] so oft, bis im
Display „OFF” erscheint. Nach 15 Sekunden schaltet
sich das Gerät automatisch aus. In der rechten
unteren Ecke des Displays erscheint ein roter Punkt.
Sie können das Gerät innerhalb der 15 Sekunden
auch durch Betätigen der Enter-Taste [Abb.3, 16] ausschalten.
b. Beim Ausschalten des DMX-Pultes wird das Gerät
nach 15 Sekunden automatisch abgeschaltet.

b. Nach ca. sieben Minuten Aufheizzeit ist das Gerät
betriebsbereit. Sobald die Arbeitstemperatur erreicht
ist, blinkt die grüne Ready-LED [Abb.3, 20]. Wenn die
Endtemperatur erreicht ist, leuchtet die LED permanent.
c. Stellen Sie die gewünschten Werte über die
UP und DOWN Tasten [Abb.3, 15] ein und drücken Sie
dann die Enter-Taste [Abb.3, 16], um den Nebelvorgang
zu starten (siehe Kapitel 5.4).

reached, the green Ready LED [Fig.3, 20] will blink. If the
nal temperature is reached, the LED lights permanently.
c. Set the desired value with the Up and Down
buttons Fig.3, 15] on the control panel and then press
the Enter button [Fig.3, 16] to start the fogging process
(see section 5.4).
