HOOP CARE
Here are some tips to keep that
hoop flyin’ for a long, long time:
•Avoid exposure to extreme hot or
cold temperatures for prolonged
periods of time.
•Anytime the lyra is not suspended
in the air, cover the entire hoop
with round plumbing foam tubing
to protect the LEDs. You can then
tie zip ties around the hoop to
keep the foam protection in place.
•If you are planning on taking your
hoop to a place where sand, dust
or moisture might get inside, take
a moment to be sure the plastic
cap ends are on the battery/board
housing to keep the electronics in
tip top shape!
•Avoid banging or dropping your
hoop on hard surfaces like
concrete, which could damage the
LEDs.Again, use the foam
protector when it’s not in the air.

SET UP
When you receive your hoop,
remove the zip ties and foam
protection. Find the battery & board
housing.
Connect the end of the attached
wire to the wire found on the hoop
itself. This supplies power and
commands to the hoop. To properly
click into place, be sure black wire is
to black, red wire is to red.

There are extra layers of protection
at the top of the lyra where the
hands apply the most grip to help
withstand the pressure on the LEDs
over time.
When rigging the hoop, use holes in
the housing to zip tie the housing
on the span set a few feet above
the hoop so it is out of the way and
will not be interfered with when in
use. You may also want to use black
gaffer tape to tape down the wire
from the hoop to housing to further
secure it from being tugged while in
use.

Be sure that if you are using a
swivel it is located above where you
place board housing or else when
you spin, the wire will twist and can
be damaged.

SAFETY
Always be sure to have safe, proper
and professional rigging to suspend
your lyra. Only use tested and
certified rigging equipment.

Power Button
The only means to turn your hoop
on.
USB Port
Used to connect to your computer
and charge your hoop.
Reset Button
Resets the hoop. Press gently
downward with a blunt object such
as a hairpin or pointed pen cap.
IR Remote Receiver
When the hoop is suspended in the
air and you want to use remote
functions, the IR receiver on the
circuit board must be within a direct
path to the remote, which is why
the case is clear.
