1. Beforeusingyourmotorcycle
1.1 Yourmotorcycleshouldbeassembledbyaproperlyqualifiedmotorcycle
mechanicatadealerauthorisedbyVmotoUK.
1.2 Youshouldundertakealltrainingandcertificationthatislegallyrequired
to ride your motorcycle. Also, if it’s your first time riding this type of
motorcycle,youshouldtestinaquietareaawayfromtraffic.
1.3 Ensurethatyouknowaboutandobeyalltrafficlawsandregulations.
1.4 Alwaysuseappropriateclothing,includingarmouredjacketandtrousers,
motorcyclingboots,glovesandaproperly‐fittedhelmet.
2. Ridingstyleandsafety
2.1 Ridewithforesightandconsiderationforotherroadusers.Alwayskeep
bothhandsonthehandlebarswhileridingandturnthethrottleslowly.
2.2 Neverridewhenundertheinfluenceofalcoholordrugswhichmayaffect
ridingcapability.
2.3 Ridewithexceptionalcareonbumpy,looseorwetsurfaces.
2.4 Payattentiontoanyunusualnoisesorhandlingofthemotorcycle.Ifin
doubt,checkitout.
2.5 Alwaysundertakethepre‐ridechecksmentionedinthisowner’smanual.
2.6 Themotorcyclehasasidestand.Ensurethatthemotorcycleisonaneven,
stablesurfacebeforeusingthestand.
2.7 Neveruseyourmobiletelephoneordoanythingelsewhichmaydistract
youfromridingorfromotherroadusers.
2.8 AlwaysserviceyourmotorcycleatanauthorisedVmotodealerin

seat.Turnto‘on’topoweronthe
motorcycle.Turnto‘off’topowerdown.
Notethatthispreventsthealarmand
anti‐theftfromfunctioning.The
motorcycle should always be powered
downifnotusedforalongperiodof
time,topreventdamagetothebattery.
7. Pre‐ridechecks
7.1 Checktyreinflation(seeparagraph11.4),treadandwearandensureno
foreignobjectsarepresent.Iftyresarewornorpunctured,theymustbe
replacedimmediately.
7.2 Checkbrakeoperationandlevelsofbrakefluid(onthehandlebarsnextto
thebrakelevers).Makesurethatdiscsandpadsarenotwornordamaged
andthatthediscisnotwarped.
7.3 Movethesteeringfromsidetoside,ensuringthatthemovementis
smooth and not loose and that there is an equal turn angle in both
directions.
7.4 Ensurechargelevelissufficientforthejourney.Donotstartaridewith
lessthan20%battery.
7.5 Whilethemotorcycleisofforinparkingmode,checkthatthrottle
operationissmooth.
7.6 Check operation of headlights (dipped and full beam), indicators (front
andrear)andhorn.
7.7 Ensurethattherearenoerrormessagesshowing(seeparagraph12).
7.8 Ensure that you are wearing a helmet and appropriate motorcycle
clothing.

8. Loading
8.1 Forstorage,onlyuseeitherthesparebatterycompartmentorthetrayon
topofthebatterycompartment.Themaximumloadingofamotorcycle
is153kg,includingrider,passengerandcargo.
8.2 Themotorcycleiscertifiedfor amaximumof 2peopleand theloading
above.Overloadingisextremelyunsafe.
9. Battery
9.1 Forthefirst3charges,ensurethatthemotorcycleisfullycharged.Also,
make sure that the motorcycle receives a full charge at least every 2
months.
9.2 The charger will stop automatically. It is not possible to reverse the
polarity.Chargingforalongtime/overnightwillnotdamagethebattery
orthecharger.Howeverthemotorcycleshouldnotbeleftpluggedinfor
morethan24hours.
9.3 Afullchargetakesapproximately7‐8hours.
9.4 Ridingwithabatterylessthan10%cancausethemotorcycletopower
off. This is normal under‐voltage protection for the battery. If this
happens,donotrideagainuntilthebatteryischarged.
9.5 Thebattery candeplete overtime asthe motorcyclesystems consume
electricity;thisisnormal.Alwayschargethebatterybeforeuse.
9.6 Mileageperchargeisstatedinidealconditions;ambienttemperatureand
weatherconditions,loadingandridingstyleallinfluencerange.Fortips
ongettingthebestrange,contactyourdealer.
9.7 Aftercompletingaride,chargethemotorcycletoensurefullbatteryfor
thenextride.
9.8 Ifstoringthemotorcycle,ensurethatthesafetyswitchisinthe off
position and that the battery is unplugged. Preferably, removethe
batteryfromthemotorcycleforstorageandensurechargedatleastevery
twomonths.Failuretodosowilldepletethebatteryandmayleadtoit
needingreplacement.Rechargethebatteryafterstorage.
