WARNING
• Always unplug your tree from its power source before attempting either fuse or bulb replacement.
CAUTION
• Inspect product carefully before using or re-using.
• This is an electrical product – not a toy! To avoid risk of fire, burns, personal injury and electrical
shock, it should not be played with.
• Do not mount or place near gas or electric heaters, fireplaces, candles or other similar sources
of heat.
• Do not cover product with cloth, paper or any material when product is in use.
• Do not hang ornaments or other objects from cord, wire, or light string. Hang ornaments only on
the tree itself.
• For your safety, unplug the product when leaving the house, retiring for the night, or if left
unattended.
• Do not let bulbs rest on the supply cord or on any wire.
• Do not close doors or windows on the product or extension cords as this may damage the wire
insulation.
• Do not remove tape placed over mounted electrical outlet sockets. Any outlet you need to plug
into is not wrapped in tape. Only remove tape when inspecting fuses (see Troubleshooting
section).
• Should you discover any of the following: a) cut, damaged, or frayed wire insulation; b) cracks
in the sockets; c) loose connections or exposed wires, please call the toll free number (800)
414-3434.

SAFETY INFORMATION
PREPARATION
Remove plastic protective covers from the base of the pole from each section.
Estimated Assembly Time: 20 minutes. No tools necessary.
Before you start to assemble your tree, choose a location near an electrical wall outlet.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Set up tree stand (E) by spreading legs until
notches and holes are aligned. Place tree stand
on a level surface.

2. Carefully insert bottom section (D) of tree into stand.
Make sure pole is firmly inserted into stand and
tree stand screw (F) is tightened.
NOTE: 2 metal screws are included with the stand.
Only one is required; the second screw is a spare.
3. Insert lower middle section (C) of tree into bottom
section (D). Extension cord from section (C) should
run down through section (D) and toward wall outlet.
DO NOT PLUG INTO WALL OUTLET UNTIL

4. Locate plug labeled #3 from section (D) and
connect to outlet labeled #3 mounted in section (C).

IMPORTANT: Do not remove the tape wrapped
around the outlets of the light set cords. Any outlet you
need to plug into is NOT wrapped in tape and is clearly
labeled. Only remove tape when inspecting fuses
(see Troubleshooting section). There is a yellow tag
attached to the extension cord to help locate the outlet
on the cord to insert the plug.

5. Insert upper middle section (B) of tree
into lower middle section (C).
6. Locate light set plug labeled #2 from
section (B) and connect to outlet labeled
#2 mounted in section (C).

The long extension cord should hang down through
section (D). Plug extension cord into wall outlet.
NOTE: This tree comes with an ON/OFF foot pedal
switch for convenience.
7. Insert top tree section (A) into upper middle
section (B). Locate light set plug labeled #1 in
section (A) and connect to end connector labeled
#1 hanging freely from section (B).

Gently pull all branches down and into place. When
adjusting branches, be sure that all wires are
free of branch hinges. Shape the branches. Starting
with tips closest to the pole, shape one tip to
the right, one to the left and one at the center of the
main stem. Repeat pattern for each branch.
Your pre-lit tree is now ready for decorating.
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE
Extension cord not plugged in. Make sure extension cord is
securely plugged into a working
electrical outlet.
Entire tree does not light.
Foot pedal switch not turned on. Press foot pedal switch.Entire tree does not light.
Extension cord fuse is blown. Check fuse in extension cord plug
and replace if necessary.
Entire tree does not light.
Tree sections are not securely
connected.
Make sure all plugs within the tree
are securely connected.
One section of tree does

TROUBLESHOOTING
EXTENSION CORD FUSE REPLACEMENT:
(1 replaceable and 1 spare 5-Amp 125 V fuse are located in the plug of the foot pedal extension cord)
This product comes with overload protection (fuse). A blown fuse indicates an overload or short circuit.
If a fuse blows, unplug tree from wall outlet. Replace the fuse per instructions below (follow product
marking for proper fuse rating). If the replacement fuse blows, a short circuit may be present and the
product should be reviewed to determine the cause.
1. Unplug product from its power source.
2. Open access cover on top of plug and locate blown fuse.
3. Remove blown fuse.
4. Locate spare replacement fuse inside plug.
Open holder and remove replacement fuse.
5. Insert new fuse. Close fuse access cover.
CAUTION: To reduce risk of fire, replace fuse in extension cord with 5-Amp 125 volt fuse ONLY.
Do not replace attachment plug. Discard product if the attachment plug is damaged.
NOTE: 5-Amp extension cord fuse is different than 3-Amp fuse used in the mini light sets.
CAUTION! – ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR TREE FROM ITS POWER SOURCE BEFORE
ATTEMPTING EITHER FUSE OR BULB REPLACEMENT.
If you are still experiencing problems with the tree, please call 1-800-414-3434 for instructions.
BULB REPLACEMENT:
1. Unplug product from its power source.
2. Pull bulb AND plastic base straight out of socket. Do not twist bulb.
3. Replace burned out bulb with 2.5 volt bulb ONLY (replacement bulbs included).
NOTE: Replace burned out bulbs as soon as possible. Failure to replace burned out bulbs will result
in a shorter bulb life for remaining lights.

Thank you for purchasing this SYLVANIA™ prelit tree. This tree assembles in minutes and is
decorated with CSA listed premium miniature light sets. Please note this tree also comes with an
ON/OFF foot pedal switch for easy illumination.
This product carries a 3 year limited guarantee. This guarantee does NOT cover damage resulting
from accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, or normal wear and any discoloration.
The warranty is in force from the date that you purchased this tree. There is no need to register your
purchase, however, it is important that you retain your sales receipt as proof of purchase. Receipt
may be required for warranty service. Please note this warranty is non-transferable and is voided if
the product is not used as intended. Please keep this product manual for future reference.

IF EXTENSION CORD PLUG DOES NOT FIT INTO OUTLET:
This product comes with an extension cord with a polarized plug (one prong is wider than the other)
as a feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock. This plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not use with an extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted. Do not alter or
replace the plug.
STORAGE: Disassembled tree can be stored in its original box. Store tree in a cool, dry place where
the temperature does not exceed 100º F.

• N’accrochez pas d’ornements ou d’autres objets au fil ou à la guirlande de lumières.
N’accrochez les ornements qu’à l’arbre même.

• Ne retirez pas la bande adhésive sur les embouts des prises électriques. Aucune prise devant

l’inspection des fusibles (voir la section Dépannage).

1. Installez le support de l’arbre (E) en en dépliant
les pieds jusqu’à ce que les rainures et les trous
soient alignés. Placez le support de l’arbre sur
une surface plane.
