Your new MP3 player is small and colourful
and thanks to its integrated clips you can
attach it just about anywhere. Try clipping it
onto your T-shirt, for example, or perhaps
onto your shirt collar, trouser pocket or
rucksack. The MP3 player plays to its

sounding music, plain and simple.

About these instructions
This product is equipped with safety features.
Nevertheless, read the safety warnings care-
fully and only use it as described in these
instructions to avoid accidental injury or
damage.
Keep these instructions for future reference.

Intended use
The MP3 player is intended for playing music
in MP3 or WMA format.
The device is designed for private use and is
not suitable for commercial purposes.
DANGER to children
• Children are not aware of the risks involved
when electronic appliances are handled
incorrectly. Therefore, keep children away
from the product.
• Keep packaging materials and the device
away from children.
There is a risk of suffocation and a danger
of children swallowing small parts!
Safety warnings

DANGER due to electricity
• Do not immerse the mains adapter in water
or other liquids, and protect it from drip-
and splashwater - otherwise there is a risk
of electric shock.
• Only connect the MP3 player to the mains
adapter in dry indoor rooms.
• Do not put any containers filled with liquid,
such as vases, on or within close proximity
of the device or mains adapter. They could
topple over and the liquid impair the elec-
trical safety of the device.
• If connecting the device to the mains, use
only the enclosed mains adapter or a USB
cable to charge the MP3 player.
• Only connect the mains adapter to a
properly installed wall socket with a
voltage that complies with the mains
voltage of the technical data of the mains
adapter.

• The wall socket used must be easily access-
ible so that the mains adapter can be
removed quickly if need be. Route the
USB cable in such a way as to ensure that
it cannot be tripped over.
• Unplug the mains adapter from the wall
socket
... if a fault occurs during operation,
... after use,
... in the event of a thunderstorm and
... before cleaning the appliance.
When doing so, always pull on the mains
adapter, not on the USB cable.
• The USB cable must not be kinked or
squashed. Keep it away from hot surfaces
and sharp edges.
• Discontinue using the mains adapter and
USB cable if they show visible signs of
damage or if the mains adapter has been
dropped.

• Do not make any modifications to the
device. Only have repairs to the device or
mains adapter carried out at a specialist
workshop or the Service Centre. You
should not attempt to replace the
rechargeable battery yourself. Improper
repair may expose the user to considerable
hazards.
DANGER due to loud music
• Set the volume to low before putting on
earphones or headphones! Your hearing
may be damaged if exposed to prolonged
or sudden high volumes.
• Do not use the MP3 player if you are
actively negotiating road traffic. This is
prohibited as it endangers you and other
road users.
CAUTION – material damage
• Wait for a few minutes before connecting
the mains adapter if the device has been
moved from a cold to a warm room. The
condensation produced can, under certain

circumstances, destroy the device. You can
connect the device safely as soon as it has
reached room temperature.
• Protect the MP3 player from moisture,
dust, high temperatures and direct sun-
light. Otherwise it may malfunction or the
electronics or casing be damaged.
• Do not drop the MP3 player or expose it to
sharp knocks.
• Do not place any objects on top of the
device.
• To avoid damage caused by overheating,
do not cover the device or mains adapter
during charging.

• Do not expose the MP3 player to strong
magnetic fields. They can damage the
memory and stored data.
• Do not charge the rechargeable battery for
longer than 12 hours, this will damage it.
• Do not use caustic chemicals or aggressive
or abrasive cleaning agents for cleaning.
• Use only genuine accessories.
CAUTION – loss of data
• Do not disconnect the MP3 player from the
computer while files are being read,
written or deleted. Otherwise, data may be
damaged or lost.
• In unfortunate circumstances, the installa-
tion of new hardware on your computer
may crash the system or cause loss of
data. Close all open programmes and files
beforehand.
