Within Germany, the time zone setting can be ignored. The time zone will set automatically when the DCF signal is

received.

The time zone setting can be used for neighboring countries of Germany, which can receive the DCF-signal from Germany.

In London, the time zone to Berlin is shifted by 1 hour, so the time zone in London has to be set to "-1" if the DCF signal

can be received from Germany. In Paris, the time zone setting will be ignored because there is no shift to German time.
