2) SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before using the Car DVR Camera (hereafter referred to as ‘device’, always take the
following basic precautions:
General safety information
• Carefully read the instructions for use and store them in a safe location. If you give
this device to other people, please also pass on this manual.
• Only use this device in accordance with instructions in this user manual. Failure to
follow the instructions may result in electric shock, re and/or serious injury.
• Do not place the device under any mechanical stress.
• Please handle the device carefully. Jolts, impacts or falls, even from a low height,
can damage the device.
• Prior to use, check the device for visible external damage. Never operate the device
if it is damaged.
• The guarantee will expire immediately if the device is damaged as a result of not
observing this user manual. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused
by non-compliance with the user manual, negligent use or use which does not
comply with the conditions of this user manual.
• Keep the device out of the reach of children and pets.
• Keep children under strict supervision to prevent them from using the device as a
toy.
• Do not allow unsupervised children to clean or maintain this device.
• Never immerse the device in water or any other liquid, to avoid the risk of electric
shocks. Do not touch the device if it has fallen into water. Switch OFF the device,
remove the power connector from the device and do not use it again.
• Do not use the device if it has become faulty, fallen or been damaged in any way.
• Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device or modify it in any manner.

• Only allow repairs to be carried out by a qualied service centre. Qualied service
centre: after-sales department of the manufacturer or store, which is recognised and
authorised to carry out such repairs, so that potential hazards can be prevented. If
problems are encountered with the device, please return it to this department.
• This device is intended for domestic or similar use, not for professional use.
• WARNING! To reduce the risk of re or electric shock, protect the device
against dripping or splashing water, and keep it away from objects lled with
liquids. Such objects should not be placed on or near the device.
• WARNING! Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This
may become dangerous playing material for children. Risk of suffocation!
Batteries, electricity and heat
• The battery should be charged for approximately 4 hours before using the device
for the rst time.
• Never leave the device to charge unattended.
• Do not attempt to charge the device when the battery is damaged.
• The rechargeable battery is built into the device and cannot be replaced.
• To reduce or prevent the risk of personal injury, electrical shock, re or damage,
never insert metal objects into the charging port.
• Do not expose the device to excessive heat sources like re or direct sunlight.
• Do not use or store the device in the immediate vicinity of heat sources like naked
ames.
• Do not crush, puncture or dismantle the device; this might damage the battery.
• Damaging the casing and/or piercing the battery or the device, can lead to
explosion or re!
• Do not throw the device into a re because it may explode!
• Leaks from battery cells can occur under extreme conditions. If the liquid gets on
the skin, wash it immediately with soap and water. If the liquid gets into the eyes,
ush them immediately with clean water for a minimum of 10 minutes and seek
medical attention.
• Do not dispose of battery operated products in your household waste. Battery
operated products can be disposed of by taking them to your local recycling centre.
Contact your local government ofces for details.
• Regularly check the power cord for damage.
• Do not use the device if the power cord or car charger shows signs of damage.
• Make sure the power cord cannot be trodden on or pinched.
• Do not allow the power cord to hang over sharp edges and keep it away from hot
objects and naked ames.
• Before cleaning the device, always disconnect the device from the power cord.
• Do not open the casing as this may result in electric shock.
• Do not use the device if it has a damaged power cord, if it has become faulty, or if
it has fallen or become damaged in any way. Send the device to the manufacturer or
the closest qualied service centre for inspection or repair.
• Ensure that the device and power cord do not come into contact with heat sources,
such as hotplates or naked ames.

• Do not use the device if it has fallen into water or any kind of uid; liquid has been
spilled on it or if it has been exposed to rain or moisture (device only)
• Do not use the device if it has been dropped or does not operate normally.
• Check local laws regarding the use of the device.
• If you use the device while driving, make sure your attention and focus
remains on your driving.
Cleaning:
• Do not use abrasive cleaning solvents to clean the device.
• Clean the exterior of the device with a damp cloth.
• It is recommended to use a commercial lens cleaner to prevent damage to the lens
surface.

Charging the battery
The device is powered by a rechargeable battery which can be charged by means of
the included car charger.
Connect the USB charging cable of the car charger to the mini USB port of the
device and connect the car charger to the cigarette lighter output of your car.
The device will start charging and the LED power indicator will turn ‘red’.
Once charging is completed, the battery indicator in the LCD screen will show full
.
Please note:
• It takes approximately 4 hours to fully charge the device.
• Before using the device for the rst time, it is recommended to fully charge it.
• The device can be charged even when it is powered OFF.
• The device can be used with contact power connected to it, for longer usage.
Inserting the Micro SD memory card
Insert a Micro SD memory card (not included) into the Micro SD card slot .
Gently press the Micro SD memory card to remove it from the device; the Micro SD
card will then eject from the Micro SD card slot .
Please note:
• The device is not equipped with built-in memory, which means a Micro SD
memory card is always required to record your videos.
Power ON/OFF
To power ON the device, press the POWER button ; the LED indicator will
turn blue.
To power OFF the device, press and hold the POWER button for ± 3 seconds
until the LED indicator switches off.
The device automatically powers OFF when it reaches the idle time set by the user (1,
3 or 5 minutes).
If the battery of the device is running low, the battery icon will appear on the LCD
screen . The device will automatically power OFF.
Switching between modes
The device is equipped with three modes:
• Video – records videos
• Capture – (still) pictures
• Playback mode – plays recorded videos, pictures.
Once the device is powered ON, modes can be switched using the MODE button .
LED indicators
LED indicator turns blue when the device is ON and in video recording mode; the
LED indicator will ash when recording.
LED power indicator will turn RED when the camera is charging.

Video mode
When the device switches ON, its default setting is video mode!
If you are in capture or playback mode, press the MODE button until the video
mode icon appears in the LCD display .
Click the OK button to start recording.
Click the OK button again to stop recording.
Please note:
• The device will automatically stop recording if the battery is low.
• The device will loop record according to the set time in the menu or until the card
is full. When the card is full, the device will restart recording and previous recordings
will be overwritten.
00:00:01 Time indicator: indicates the length of the current recording.
Mode indicator: indicates selected mode is video recording mode.
Recording quality indicator: indicates the selected recording quality.
NO CARD indicator: indicates the Micro SD memory card has not been inserted.
Battery status indicator: indicates the battery level.
Capture mode
When the device switches ON, its default setting will be video mode!
To choose capture mode, press the MODE button until the capture mode icon A
appears in the LCD display .
Press the OK button to take a picture.
A Mode indicator: indicates selected mode is capture mode.
Picture resolution indicator: indicates the selected resolution for making
pictures.
NO CARD indicator: indicates the Micro SD memory card has not been
inserted.
Battery status indicator: indicates the battery level.
Playback mode
When the device switched ON, its default setting will be video mode!
To choose playback mode, press the MODE button until the playback mode icon
appears in the LCD display .
In playback mode, press the Left and Right buttons to select the desired video

playing a video, press the OK button to pause/resume the selected video
System setup menu
To enter the system setup menus, press the MODE button to select the setup
mode you want to enter, either in Video, Capture or in Playback mode. Once the
mode is selected press the MENU button to enter the setup menu. In the setup
menu, press the LEFT and RIGHT buttons to select the desired menu
item. When selecting the main menu, the background of the selected item will be
highlighted. Press the OK button to enter the sub-menu. In the sub-menu, press
the LEFT and RIGHT buttons to select the desired sub-menu function. Press
the MENU button to exit the sub-menu and return to the main menu. Press MENU
button again to select the next setup chapter. Press MENU button again to
exit the setup menus.

Connecting to computer/notebook
The device is able to synchronize with computers.
Connect the USB to mini USB cable to the Mini USB Port of the device and
connect the other end of the cable to the USB port of your computer. Once the device
is connected to the computer, power ON the device; the LED indicator will turn
blue. A “Disk Drive icon” will appear on the LCD display , to indicate successful
connection. The device will now appear in the list of connected devices on your
computer.

• The device will start charging once connected to your computer (see chapter:

“Charging the battery”).
o Make sure the Micro SD memory card is inserted in the device when connecting
to your computer. If the Micro SD memory card is not inserted when connecting, the
device will not appear in the list of connected devices on your computer.
You can also remove the Micro SD Card from the Micro SD card slot of the
device and insert it into the Micro SD Card slot of your computer.
Flash light Illumination
Press the POWER button to switch on the device. Press the POWER button
once more to switch on the ash light LEDs to make pictures or videos in the dark.
Window mount
Connect the Window suction cup to the connection point of the device by sliding
the connections together until they click in place.
Now place the suction cup on the inside of your car’s front windshield near the rear
mirror.
Press the lever down to enable the suction cup to stick to the window.
Reset button
In case the device does not function as it should or freezes, you can press the reset
button to resume normal operation.
