Installation
Install the scales, indicator and valve ina suitable place onthe forklift. It canbe
mounted inall positions, except withthe120 mm side horizontal. Connect the pressure-
oilhose (1/4” BSP hose onthe valve’s P-course.) to the forklifts lifting cylinder. Connect
the returnhose (1/4” BSP hose onthe valve’s T-course.) to the forklift’s return-system
or directly to the tank. If youhave to dismount the indicator from
the scale, make sure that youdisconnect thehose from the
scale, not the indicator. This is to avoid oilleaks and air getting
into the system. Plug thehose whenyouhave dismounted it.
If there is no response ontheindicator whenthe valve buttonis
pressed, the oil betweenthescale and theindicator has
probably leaked out. If so, please follow the procedure onthe
nextpage.
Calibration
The indicator must never comewithinthe red field during
weighing.
Make sure the tower is vertical(not tilted).
Zero adjustment: Withno load: Hoist theforks up a bit, then lower slightly. Press
andhold the valve button. Grip the two black knobs mounted onthe glass and
turnthe glass. The dialwillfollow. Turnuntilthe indicator is at 0 (zero). The
scales is now zeroed. Release the valve button. The indicator willdrop below
zero. This is because there now is no pressure inthe scales.
Calibration: Use the truck to lift anobject witha knownweight (heavier thanhalf
the truck’s lifting capacity) and lower to desired weighing position. Press andhold
the valve button.Read after three seconds.
If thescales showmore thanthe object weighs (for example 1500kg reads
1600kg onthe scales): Turnthe adjustment screw under the scales inwards.
If thescales showless thanthe object weighs (for example 1500kg reads 1400kg
onthe scales): Turn the adjustment screw under the scales outwards.
The valve must not be activated, andno load or pressure must be onthe scale.
How muchyouneed to adjustthe screw depends onthe deviationfrom the
referenced weight used. For eachadjustment, repeat thezero adjustment
procedure. Repeat until the scales show the correct weight.
Finally, grip the black rubber ring and turnthe scales casinguntil the TEO mark is
at the bottom ina horizontalposition.
The most accuratemeasuring result is obtained witha fully verticalmast (not
tilted). NOTE: There willbe incorrect indicationonsome trucks whenthe forks
are almost at thebottom or top. This has to be tested. Trucks witha triple mast
must use the lower or upper rung eachtime.
