Installation

Notes:

• HDD/SSD drives are sensitive to static electricity and must be handled

properly, so as not to risk data loss. Always handle your HDD/SSD drive

with caution by wearing an anti-static strap (Such as Tripp Lite P999-000)

when transporting it, or by touching a grounded metal surface to discharge

yourself of static electricity prior to picking up the drive.

• When disconnecting the drive, go through your operating system’s

disconnection steps to safely disconnect. Removing the drive prior to proper

disconnection can result in loss or corruption of data stored on the drive.

• If your SATA drive has not been formatted yet, you must ﬁrst format it using

your computer’s disk management utility in order to copy and access ﬁles.

1. Remove the USB to SATA connector piece from the front end of

the enclosure.

2. Connect your 2.5” HDD/SSD to the SATA connector on the USB

to SATA connector piece.

3. Insert the USB to SATA connector piece with installed HDD/

SSD drive back into the unit, being sure to match up the drive

installation holes on the side of the unit.

4. Using the included screwdriver and screws, afﬁx the screws into

place on the side of the unit so the SATA connector end is ﬁrmly

in place.

5. Connect the included USB 3.1 Cable between the USB Micro-B

port on the unit and the USB port on your computer.

6. Your enclosure is now ready to use. The blue LED will blink to

indicate power and data access.

Speciﬁcations

1-Year Limited Warranty

TRIPP LITE warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a

period of one (1) year from the date of initial purchase. TRIPP LITE’s obligation under this warranty

is limited to repairing or replacing (at its sole option) any such defective products. To obtain

service under this warranty, you must obtain a Returned Material Authorization (RMA) number

from TRIPP LITE or an authorized TRIPP LITE service center. Products must be returned to TRIPP

LITE or an authorized TRIPP LITE service center with transportation charges prepaid and must

be accompanied by a brief description of the problem encountered and proof of date and place

of purchase. This warranty does not apply to equipment, which has been damaged by accident,

negligence or misapplication or has been altered or modiﬁed in any way.

EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, TRIPP LITE MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,

INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

Some states do not permit limitation or exclusion of implied warranties; therefore, the aforesaid

limitation(s) or exclusion(s) may not apply to the purchaser.

EXCEPT AS PROVIDED ABOVE, IN NO EVENT WILL TRIPP LITE BE LIABLE FOR DIRECT, INDIRECT,

SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF THIS

PRODUCT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE. Speciﬁcally, TRIPP LITE is not

liable for any costs, such as lost proﬁts or revenue, loss of equipment, loss of use of equipment,

loss of software, loss of data, costs of substitutes, claims by third parties, or otherwise.

Instalación

Notas:

• Las unidades de HDD / SSD son sensibles a la electricidad estática y

deben manejarse adecuadamente, para no arriesgar la pérdida de datos.

Manipule siempre su unidad de HDD / SSD con precaución usando una

correa antiestática (como P999-000 de Tripp Lite) cuando se transporta

o tocando una superﬁcie metálica conectada a tierra para descargar

electricidad estática antes de tomar la unidad.

• Para desconectar de forma segura la unidad, siga los pasos de

desconexión de su sistema operativo. La extracción de la unidad antes de

la desconexión adecuada puede provocar la pérdida o corrupción de los

datos almacenados en la unidad.

• Si su unidad SATA aún no ha sido formateada, debe formatearla primero

usando la herramienta de Administración de Discos de su computadora a

ﬁn de copiar y acceder a los archivos.

1. Retire la pieza del conector USB a SATA de la parte delantera de

la caja.

2. Conecte su HDD / SSD de 2,5" al conector SATA en la pieza de

conector USB a SATA.

3. Inserte la pieza de conector USB a SATA con el disco HDD / SSD

instalado nuevamente en la unidad, asegurándose de hacer

coincidir los agujeros de instalación en el disco en el costado de

la unidad.

4. Con el desatornillador y tornillos incluidos, ﬁje los tornillos en su

sitio en el costado de la unidad para que el extremo del conector

SATA quede ﬁrmemente en su lugar.

5. Conecte el Cable USB 3.1, incluido, entre el puerto USB Micro-B

de la unidad y el puerto USB de su computadora.

6. Su caja ya está lista para usarse. El LED azul destellará para

indicar la alimentación y el acceso a datos.
