Turn on camera: Open LCD panel.
Save battery: turn off LCD, look through
viewfinder.
Turn on/off: also possible with MENU/OK
button. Hold 3 seconds.

View image full screen: press MENU/OK
Start play audio/video file: press MENU/OK
Exit playback mode: press Video

• Connect video-cable camera
• Connect audio/video-cable television
(Yellow Video in; White Audio in)
• Turn on TV; set to video-input (refer manual
TV)
Camera video output set to PAL (SETTINGS,
TV-System, select PAL)
Install driver/software on computer

Turn on Computer
Insert CD-ROM
Click “Install Driver”
Product works only with Windows 98SE, ME,
2000 and XP

Follow steps displayed on screen.
Press Finish to close installation.

• Install Windows Media Player Codec
• Install Windows Media Format 9 Series

Programs necessary for viewing video clips
recorded with camera on computer.
Follow on-screen instructions.
Connect camera (Disk Mode)

Turn on computer. Start Windows.
Connect USB-cable to computer.

Connect USB to camera.

Set camera to “DISK MODE” (Use cor dbutton).
Press MENU/OK.
Drivers will be installed automatically.
Two removable disks (internal memory/CF
Card) appear in Windows Explorer/‘My
Computer’.
No files found at one disk; try other disk.

Connect camera (Live mode/Webcam)

Turn on computer. Start Windows.
Connect USB-cable to computer.
Connect USB to camera.
Set camera to “LIVE MODE” (Use cor dbutton).
Press MENU/OK.

Windows XP/2000: Drivers will be installed
automatically.
Windows ME/98SE:
Drivers will be installed automatically. Some
files needed from Windows installation CD-
ROM. Insert when needed.
Work together with MSN Messenger.
Check additional manual at CD-ROM
Disconnect camera

Windows XP
1. Click symbol with left mouse button
2. Click “Safely remove USB Mass Storage
Device”. In display appears “Safe to remove
hardware”.
3. Disconnect camera from USB cable.

Windows 2000/ME:
1. Click symbol with left mouse button
2. Click “Stop USB Mass Storage Device”. In
display appear “The ‘USB Mass Storage
Device’ can now be safely removed from the
system.”.
3. Disconnect camera from USB cable.

program. It contains Easy-to-use tools for creating
professional video productions.
Refer to manual CD-ROM how to use software.

“Exit”: Close menu
“Playback”: Enter playback mode
“Record Audio”: Start Audio recording
“Self Timer”: Select Self Timer
“Settings”: Set functions.
