1.Introd ction

Welcome to the Aeolos / Aeolos Pl s Amplifier!

Thank yo for yo r p rchase of this TSAKIRIDIS DEVICES amplifier.

2. Connection and Installation

• To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose this nit to rain or moist re.

• Dangero s voltages inside. Do not open the amplifier cabinets. There are no ser

serviceable parts inside. Repairs sho ld be carried o t by q alified service

personnel only.

• Take care to handle the power cord caref lly and not to crimp or damage it as this

can ca se electric shock or damage the device.

• Do not insert any objects into the amplifier.

• To install the device, select an open place with good ventilation. The amplifier

sho ld be placed so that the valves (vac m t bes) are always vertical.

• The amplifier operates with alternating c rrent voltage 240 VOLT, 50 HZ. Before

connecting power check that the req ired s pply voltage corresponds to yo r local

AC s pply. If a different voltage is stated, do not connect the amplifier to the mains

power, and seek advice from yo r dealer / distrib tor.

• Never p ll the power cable from the cord.

• Connect to the mains power sing a high q ality mains cable.

• Always disconnect the amplifier from the mains power before connecting or

disconnecting any of the inp t or lo dspeaker cables.

• Never expose the device directly to the s n or attempt to operate it o tdoors.

• Do not place the amplifier near radiators or other so rces of heat and generally

avoid placing the device in an adverse environment.

• All valve amplifiers need time to reach their optimal operating temperat re. We

recommend, therefore, that yo allow at least fifteen min tes for the amplifiers to

‘warm p’ before se. Warming p sho ld be done with the vol me control (on the

pre amplifier) set to zero, with no signal passing to the power amplifier.

3. Special Notice

 Do not place the amplifier near each other while in operation beca se the

magnetic field emitted from the power s pply can ca se noise and adversely

affect a dio playback q ality.

 Never change the position of the amplifiers d ring operation and wait for 20

min tes after powering off before moving, beca se of the high voltages that

remain in the amplifier.

 Do not to ch the valves d ring operation – serio s risk of being b rned!

 The lifetime of the t be is 7,000 ho rs for Aeolos and after this time replacement

is necessary.

 After se, always allow the amplifiers to cool down before re-starting (2 min tes

sho ld s ffice).

 Do not operate the amplifier witho t a load (speaker cables attached) as this can

ca se damage to the amplifiers.

4. Amplifier Front

• The left control is the selector inp t: t rn the knob to switch to the inp ts.

• The right control is sed to control the vol me

• A bl e light indicates the nit is switched ‘ON’.

__ 5. Amplifier Rear

• The ON/OFF switch is at the rear.

• Connections (inp ts and o tp ts) are at the rear of the amplifier.

• Always disconnect the amplifier from the mains power before connecting or

disconnecting any of the inp ts or lo dspeaker cables.

• Use the best possible q ality inp t cables and lo dspeakers interconnect cables.

6. Warranty

TSAKIRIDIS DEVICES offers a five-year (5) warranty for all its appliances from the date

of p rchase. (proof of p rchase will be req ired, so please retain yo r receipt).

Technical s pport is provided by the man fact rer, however if yo req ire s pport for

yo r prod ct, in the first instance please contact yo r reseller or distrib tor to explain the

symptoms. They will advise on the best co rse of action.

If the amplifier needs to be ret rned for service or repair, please se the original carton

provided. Please incl de a note detailing yo r name, address, yo r phone and a brief

description of yo symptom and events s rro nding the malf nction / complication.

We advise owners to retain al the packaging thro gho t the lifetime of the prod ct – it

Please note that na thorised alterations or modifications will invalidate the warranty.

This warranty does not include the valves which are s bject to wear as disc ssed

above.

All transport costs for warranty items is to be borne by the c stomer and is not the

responsibility of the man fact rer or distrib tor. Please cons lt the distrib tor in case of

ncertainty.

In the event that damage has been ca sed to the amplifier which falls o tside of the

terms of this warranty, from deliberate or nintended case of intervention by third parties

shall cease to apply sec rity and the holder shall bear the costs of parts and labo r.
