Section 1
GENERAL
INFORMATION
This manual refers to series E / V gas burners in their
electronic version. It contains basic information on
installation, use, control and maintenance of burners.
This manual is an integral part of the burner and must be
kept with the latter until the ends of its service life. If the
manual you own becomes unreadable and is irreparably
damaged, you may ask the customer service department
a copy by submitting a copy of your purchase order or by
indicating the type of burner and serial number shown
on the UL nameplate.
This manual reflects the state-of-the-art the moment the
burner was supplied.
UNITECH reserves the right to update its products and
manuals without being obliged to update previous
products and manuals.
The Customer Service Department is at your disposal
to provide all the information concerning upgrades that
UNITECH has applied to its burners.
UNITECH cannot be held responsible for damage caused by:
- improper use of the burner
- use by untrained personnel
- incorrect installation
- incorrect energy supply
- inadequate maintenance or cleaning
- unauthorised modifications and operations
- wrong manoeuvres
- use of non-original spare parts
- use of unauthorised accessories
- failure to observe the instructions, either partially or in
whole
- unexpected events
This manual may not be reproduced in whole or in part
without the written consent of UNITECH, and its contents
may not be used for purposes other than those envisaged
in the relationship with the user.

SAFETY RULES
Read this manual with care before installing, start-
ing, operating or performing maintenance or other
operations on the burner.
• Do not allow unauthorised personnel to work on the
burner.
• Before using the burner, make sure that any dangerous
conditions have been appropriately eliminated.
• Installation must be performed by qualified techni-
cians.
• When using knobs, handles and levers, always wear
heat-resistant gloves (PPE).
• The gas burner must only be used for its intended use
(baking pizza) and never for other purposes.
• Maintenance and adapting of the burner to other types
of gas are operations that must be entrusted only to
qualified personnel.
• The parts sealed by the manufacturer or its agent can-
not be adjusted by the installer or user.
• If you smell gas, shut o the gas valve, ventilate the
room, do not use electronic devices (including tele-
phones) and immediately call a qualified technician
or the gas company from another room. If nobody is
available, call the fire brigade.
• If you smell combustion products, turn o the appli-
ance, ventilate the room and call a qualified technician.
• Never store or use explosive or hazardous materials
that are easily flammable, such as paper, solvents,
paints etc., in the same room as the appliance.
• Installation, calibration or modification of the gas ap-
pliance must be carried out by qualified personnel in
accordance with national and local regulations and the
instructions in this manual.

GLOSSARY
Equipment:
GAS BURNER FOR OVENS
Operator(s):
person entrusted with use of the burner.
Qualified technician:
person in charge of handling, installing and performing
extra-duty maintenance on the burner.
Exposed person:
any person wholly or partially in a danger zone.
Danger zone:
any zone near the burner, in which an exposed person is
subject to a risk to his/her health or safety.
P.P.E:
personal protective equipment.

• Never leave packaging materials or parts that have
been removed within the reach of children.
• In accordance with the regulations in force, the user
must keep the installation in good condition and en-
sure reliable and safe operation.
• The user must have the appliance serviced by a qual-
ified technician in accordance with national and local
regulations and in accordance with the provisions of
this manual.
• We also highlight the convenience of an annual rou-
tine maintenance contract with a professionally qual-
ified technician.
• Aer carrying out any cleaning or maintenance oper-
ations, put the battery back into the battery compart-
ment and ensure that all internal parts of the appliance
are thoroughly dry.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons with
impaired physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use
of the appliance by the person responsible for their
safety.
• Any optional equipment or kits added subsequently
must be original.
• This appliance must only be used for the purpose for
which it has been designed and built.
• The manufacturer cannot be held liable for any liabilty,
either contractual or non-contractual, arising out of
damage caused by improper installation or operation
or failure to follow the manufacturer's instructions or to
comply with applicable national and local laws.
• For safety and environmental reasons, packaging ma-
terials must be disposed of at appropriate waste dis-
posal centres.
• If the appliance is faulty or is not working properly,
refrain from using it and from attempting any repair
work. Always contact a qualified technician. If repair
work calls for replacement of parts, original parts must
always be used. Failure to respect the above may put
the appliance's safety at risk.
• All drawings included in this manual, which relate to
electrical installation, plumbing or gas circuits, are pro-
vided for explanatory purposes only. All safety devices,
auxiliary devices as well as the diameters of electrical,
hydraulic and gas lines must always be checked by a
professionally qualified technician for compliance with
applicable standards and laws.
