INTRODUCTION

Thank you for purchasing the VTech®Glowing Lullabies Elephant™.

This plush toy elephant features a soft, glowing tummy with color-

changing lights and will help soothe your baby when it's time for sleep.

Press its tummy to hear soothing lullabies, loving phrases and relaxing

sounds. It also calms little ones with approximately 15 minutes of familiar

melodies and is hand washable.

should be discarded for your child’s safety.

GETTING STARTED

BATTERY INSTALLATION

1. Make sure the unit is turned OFF.

2. Locate the battery cover on the

electronic module inside the elephant.

Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw.

3. Install 2 new AAA (AM-4/LR03)

batteries following the diagram inside

the battery box. (The use of new

alkaline batteries is recommended for

maximum performance.)

4. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.

• Usenewalkalinebatteriesformaximumperformance.

• Useonlybatteriesofthesameorequivalenttypeasrecommended.

• Donotmixdifferenttypesofbatteries:alkaline,standard(carbon-zinc)

or rechargeable, or new and used batteries.

• Insertbatterieswiththecorrectpolarity.

• Donotshort-circuitthebatteryterminals.

• Removeexhaustedbatteriesfromthetoy.

• Removebatteriesduringlongperiodsofnon-use.

• Donotdisposeofbatteriesinfire.

• Donotchargenon-rechargeablebatteries.

• Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging (if

removable).

• Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult

supervision.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

With the Glowing Lullabies Elephant™,safetycomesrst.Toensure

yourchild'ssafety,adultassemblyisrequired.

Electronic Module

1. Toremovetheelectronicmodule,open

the hook and loop closure on the back

of the elephant. Press the button on

the left side of the electronic module

todetachandremoveit.

2. Toreinserttheelectronicmodule,press

thesamebuttonyouusedtoremove

the electronic module and click it onto

thetabinsidethebackoftheelephant.

When the electronic module is inserted

correctly,youwillhearaclickingsound.

Sealthehookandloopclosure.

PRODUCT FEATURES

 To turn the elephant ON, slide the

On/Off/Volume Control Switch to

the Low Volume ( ) or High

Volume ( )position.Youwillhear

aphrase,gigglesoundandsong.To

turn the elephant OFF, slide the On/

Off/Volume Control Switch to the

OFF ( )position.

2. Automatic Shut Off

 Topreservebatterylife,theGlowing Lullabies Elephant™will

automaticallypowerdownshortlyaftertheresponseshavenished.

TheelephantcanbeturnedonagainbypressingtheLight-Up

Button.

Note:Iftheunitrepeatedlyshutsdown,orthelightickersthen

fadesout,werecommendchangingthebatteries.

ACTIVITIES

1.Light-Up Button

 Press the Light-Up Button to hear

soothing phrases, songs, nature

soundsandsoftmelodies.Youwillhear

approximately 15 minutes of music play

aftereachpressofthebutton.Thelight

will fade in and out and change colors

with the sounds. Press and hold the

Light-Up Button for approximately

three seconds to stop the current

response.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Iffor some reasonthe program/activitystopsworking, pleasefollow

these steps:

1. TurntheunitOFF.

2. Interruptthepowersupplybyremovingthebatteries.

3. Lettheunitstandforafewminutes,thenreplacethebatteries.

4. TurntheunitbackON.Theunitwillnowbereadytoplayagain.

5. Iftheunitstilldoesnotwork,replacewithanentiresetofnewbatteries.
