operate the Orbiter Gold / Lite
WARNING! Do not use the camera continuously for a
period of over twenty-four hours with the auto-focus on.
Doing so may damage the lens.
Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
These products are for internal use only.
These products contain static electricity sensitive devices. Please take
appropriate precautions when handling.
Handle the Orbiter Gold / Lite with care, as improper handling may
cause irreparable damage to the precision or sensitive parts within this
unit.
Never point the camera directly towards a bright light source (for
example sunlight), or expose the camera to intensive light situations as
this may damage the camera pick-up device.

Cleaning the Acrylic
VCL Recommend that the Acrylic on this product is cleaned regularly.
For cleaning, VCL suggests that the acrylic is cleaned using a
propriety foam cleaner or methalyted spirits and a soft cloth.

Installing the Orbiter Gold / Lite
Note: When handling the Orbiter Gold / Lite DO NOT
touch the acrylic, or any sensitive or precision parts,
as this will cause damage to the unit.
1.0 Installing the Orbiter Gold / Lite

Step Instruction
1 Attach the bracket (wall or ceiling type) using fixings
whichareappropriateforthe surface and able tosupport
the weight of the Orbiter Gold / Lite (1.1 kg) as shown
in Figure ii.

Step Instruction
2 Align the lug on the Orbiter Gold / Lite with the slot on
the bracket. Carefully push the Orbiter Gold / Lite into
the bracket and twist clockwise. Allow to drop into the
retainer. See Figure iii.

Step Instruction
3 Fit the M3 CSK safety locking screw into the bracket to
lock the Orbiter Gold / Lite in place. This is
ESSENTIAL for the safe operation of the Orbiter Gold
/ Lite. (The hole for the screw is on the opposite side of
the pole to the slot.)
4 Attach the cable cover. This is supplied as two halves
which snap together over the neck of the Orbiter Gold /
Lite as shown in Figure iv, below.

1.2 False Ceiling Model
Note: The Orbiter Gold / Lite is designed to be mounted in
aflatceilinginstallation.MountingtheOrbiterGold
/ Lite in an angled ceiling installationwill affect the
units centre of gravity and, consequently,
programmed tours will be affected.
Note: The false ceiling kit requires a clear area of 270mm
diameter for installation. See Figure v for details.

Step Instruction
1 Ensurethatthefalseceilingisabletosupporttheweight
of the false ceiling kit. (1.25 kg)
2 Using the retaining ring as a template, cut a 160mm
diameter hole in the ceiling using an appropriate tool.
3 Drill three 6mm holes on the 186mm PCD to accept the
mounting studs.
