The following symbols and signal words are used in these operating instructions.
This signal / symbol word denotes a hazard with medium risk, which, if not
avoided, can result death or serious injuries.
This signal symbol / word indicates a hazard with low risk, which, if not
avoided, can result minor or moderate injury.
This signal word warns of possible physical damage.
Intended Use
The sun sail is designed exclusively as sun protection. Use the sun sail only as described in
these operating instructions. Any other usage is considered to be improper and may lead to
material damages or even personal injuries. The sun sail is not a toy for children to play. The
manufacturer or dealer will not assume any liability for damage caused by improper or
incorrect use.
Safety instructions
Risk of burns and fire! The sun sail is made of highly flammable material that can
cause a fire.
Do not use an open fire, electrical devices (e.g. heaters) or other combustion devices
inside or near the sun sail.
Do not place hot devices near the sun sail.
Please observe the safety instructions for these devices
Danger of suffocation! Children can strangle and suffocate while playing with the
transport bag or guy ropes.
Do not let children play with the transport bag and the guy ropes.
The sun sail can protect your skin from direct UV radiation but not from reflective UV
radiation.
Risk of injury! Children can injure themselves while playing with the sand pegs or the
rack.
Keep children away from the sand pegs and the rack.
Risk of damage! Improper handling of the sun sail can cause damage.
Do not set up the sun sail during storm or similar weather conditions. - If a storm or
thunderstorm is coming up, dismantle the sun sail.
Do not set up the sun sail in sloping terrain.
Handle the product carefully. It can be damaged by impacts or falling from even a low
height
Never carry out repairs yourself. Do not use the sail or rack if it is damaged.

Set up sun sail
Risk of injury
An improperly set up sun sail can cause injury.
Tension the guy rope and fix the pegs in such a way that no one can trip over them.
Do not use force during assembly.
You have two variants to set up the sun sail.
Version A – light up to strong wind
Version B – no wind up to light wind or gusty wind
Short manual version A
1. Screw in the ground screw
2. Insert the telescopic pole into the ground screw
3. Secure the telescopic pole
4. Strike in pegs and fix the guy rope
5. Insert crossbars into sail tabs in the front
6. Insert the crossbars into the telescopic pole
7. Fill bags with sand
8. Adjust the height of the telescopic pole
9. Tension the guy rope
10. Align the sail

Assembly instructions version A – light up to strong wind
1. Unfold the two red handles on the ground screw and place it in the desired location.
Turn the ground sleeve clockwise with even movements and light pressure. The
ground sleeve is screwed in far enough when the thread is completely sunk. Fold in
the red handles.

2. Insert the telescopic pole into the ground screw until it stops. Please make sure that
the telescopic pole is completely inserted into the ground sleeve.
3. Tighten the upper red locking nut clockwise to fix the telescopic pole and to prevent it
from slipping out.
4. Strike in the pegs completely and attach the guy ropes to the fastening ring on the
telescopic rod by using the steel carabiners.
5. Insert both crossbars into the provided tabs in the front off the sail. Make sure that the
push buttons are visible and outside the tabs.

6. Fully press down the push button on any crossbar and insert the crossbar into the
side of the T-piece of the telescopic pole. Push the crossbar almost completely
through the T-piece.
Now guide the second crossbar from the other side into the T-piece until the push
button fits against the T-piece.
Pull the first crossbar out until the push button is visible again and pops out by itself.

Make sure that the push buttons are at the top.
If the crossbar cannot be pulled out (because the push button is locked
inside), simply turn the crossbar by 180 °. Then the crossbar can be pulled out
easily
7. Fill the pockets at least a third with sand.
During strong wind it may be necessary to fill the bags completely.
8. Align the sail with the wind and set the desired height on the telescopic pole.
To change the height, you have to release the tension lever on the telescopic pole
.
The optimal height of the telescopic pole depends on the wind strength. The
stronger the wind, the lower the height has to be.
The clamping force of the clamping lever can be adjusted using a nut on the
clamping lever. When closing the tensioning lever, there has to be a slight
resistance.
9. Tension the guy ropes tight by using the line tensioner.

10. Tighten the two cords on the long side of the sail to stabilize the sail against cross
winds. Align the sun sail for an optimal position, by using the sand filled bags.
If the wind changes and the position of the sail is no longer optimal, simply correct the
position of the sun sail via the position the sand pockets.

Short manual version B
1. Screw in the ground screw
2. Insert the telescopic pole into the ground screw
3. Secure the telescopic pole
4. Insert crossbars into sail tabs in the middle
5. Insert the crossbars into the telescopic pole
6. Fill bags with sand
7. Adjust the height of the telescopic pole
8. Strike in pegs and fix and tension the guy rope
Assembly instructions version B – no wind up to light wind
1. Unfold the two red handles on the ground screw and place it in the desired location.
Turn the ground sleeve clockwise with even movements and light pressure. The ground
sleeve is screwed in far enough when the thread is completely sunk. Fold in the red

Now guide the remaining crossbar from the other side into the T-piece until the push
button fits against the T-piece.
Pull the other crossbar out until the push button is visible again and pops out by itself.
Make sure that the push buttons are at the top.
If the crossbar cannot be pulled out (because the push button is locked
inside), simply turn the crossbar by 180 °. Then the crossbar can be pulled out
easily
