1. Introduction
To all residents of the European Union
Important environmental information about this product
This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of
the device after its lifecycle could harm the environment. Do not
dispose of the unit (or batteries) as unsorted municipal waste; it
should be taken to a specialized company for recycling. This device
should be returned to your distributor or to a local recycling service.
Respect the local environmental rules.
If in doubt, contact your local waste disposal authorities.
Thank you for choosing Velleman! Please read the manual thoroughly before
bringing this device into service. If the device was damaged in transit, do
not install or use it and contact your dealer.
2. Safety Instructions
Keep this device away from children under age 14 and
unauthorized users.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children under age 14 shall be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.
DO NOT disassemble or open the cover. There are no user-
serviceable parts inside the device. Refer to an authorized
dealer for service and/or spare parts.
Warning: Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire
as they may explode. Do not attempt to recharge non-
rechargeable batteries (alkaline). Dispose of batteries in
accordance with local regulations. Keep batteries away from
children.
Keep this device away from rain, moisture, splashing and
dripping liquids.

3. General Guidelines
Refer to the Velleman®Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages of
this manual.
Keep this device away from dust and extreme temperatures.
Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force
when operating the device.
Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually
using it.
All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage
caused by user modifications to the device is not covered by the
warranty.
Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an
unauthorised way will void the warranty.
Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not
covered by the warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for
any ensuing defects or problems.
Nor Velleman nv nor its dealers can be held responsible for any damage
(extraordinary, incidental or indirect) –of any nature (financial,
physical…) arising from the possession, use or failure of this product.
Due to constant product improvements, the actual product appearance
might differ from the shown images. Product images are for illustrative
purposes only.
Do not use this product to violate privacy laws or perform other illegal
activities.
Only use this product in an area legal for remote control flying and free
of interfering radio signals.
Do not switch the device on immediately after it has been exposed to
changes in temperature. Protect the device against damage by leaving
it switched off until it has reached room temperature.

5. Charging
WARNING
This device contains an internal rechargeable
battery. When the device reaches end-of-life, it
must be disposed of in accordance with local
regulations.
WARNING
Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire
as they may explode. Do not attempt to recharge
non-rechargeable batteries (alkaline). Dispose of
batteries in accordance with local regulations.
Keep batteries away from children.
1. Connect the remote control to a powered USB port using the included
cable. Remember to switch off the remote control. The power/charging
LED will switch off as soon as the remote control is fully charged.
2. Carefully remove the battery from the drone and it in its charging
dock. The charging LED will switch off as soon as the battery is fully
charged.
3. Carefully re-install the battery in the drone.
4. Disconnect the remote control from the USB port. Your drone is ready-
to-fly.

6. Flying the Drone
6.1 Preparing Your Flight
1. Place the drone on a flat surface.
2. Push and hold the throttle stick completely downwards.
3. Switch on your remote control by sliding the on-off switch to the on
position. Push the throttle stick completely upwards, and then push it
completely downwards. Synchronizing has been completed when the
remote control beeps and the power LED burns steadily.

6.3 Fine-Tuning
You can fine-tune the rotors in the unlikely case they should not turn at the
same speed.
6.4 High/Low Speed Mode
The drone has three speed modes: low, medium and high. The higher the
speed mode, the faster the drone will react.
We recommend flying the drone in low speed mode if you are a beginner or
to get accustomed to the drone’s reactions.
6.5 Headless Mode
The headless mode means that, regardless of the orientation of the drone, it
will follow your stick movements. This is a handy function should you not be
able to see which way the drone is pointing.
Press the headless mode button to activate the function.
6.6 Camera Function
1. Insert the SD card into the camera.
2. Switch on the quadcopter.
3. Click the photo button to take the picture; click the video button to
record video. The picture/video will be saved automatically on the SD
card.
4. To edit the files, take out the SD card, insert into a card reader and
connect to your computer. You can now transfer and edit all files.
7. Cleaning and Maintenance
The drone does not need any particular maintenance. However, occasionally
wipe it with a damp cloth to keep it looking new. Do not use harsh
chemicals, cleaning solvents or strong detergents.
