Thisunitisintendedforspotcoolingofsmellareas.
Locatethe unitnexttoa partiallyopenedwindow.The
unit mustdraw inwarmoutdoorairto coolefficiently.
Itwiflnotefficientlycool"used"reciroulstedindoor
air.Positionthe unittodirectcootedair tothe portion
ofthe roomthat requirescooling,0o notplacethe
unitontopofelectricalappliances,woodfurniture,or
anyotheritemthatmaybedamagedduetoacciden-
taloverfilling.Resurethe unit isplacedona leveland
sturdysurface.
Sincerecirculationofindoorair isnotdesirable,par-
tiallyopene windowordooronthe oppositesideof
the roomfromthe unitto exhaustanamountofroom
airequaltothatwhichisproducedbythe unit.Forbest
coolingresults,allowanadequateexhaustopening.
Turntheunitoffandunplugitbeforefillingorrefilling.
Tofill,openthewater-filldooronthesideofthe unit
andpourcool,cleanwaterintothewater reservoir.
Fillthe tankwitha maximum2.6USgallonsofwater,
oruntilthewaterlevelindicatorregisters"Full."To
preventleaking,donotoverfill.
Donotattempttocarryor movetheunitafterfillingor
somewaterspillagemayoccur.Donotfillwater
reservoirwhilethe unitisrunning.
Aswaterevaporationvariesindifferentlocalities,
determineyourunit'srefilltimebywatchingwater
levelindicatorcloselyfor thefirst few refillsuntil
approximatetimebetweenrefillsi_sdetermined.
Forbestcoolingresults,setthe controlswitchto "HI"
position.

Thisproductcan beusedtoreplacedryair causedby
centralheatingwith moist,clean air.Specialexhaust
considerationsare notnecessarywhen usedto
humidifyendfilterdry,staleair.The unitwashesthe
air naturallybyfilteringitthroughewater-
saturatedfiberpad.
Fillthe unitwithfreshwater,followingtheinstructions
inthisinstructionsheetinthesectiontitled
"WHENUSINGTHISPRODUCTTOCOOLTHEAIR ... ".
Forbesthumidifying/filteringresults,setthecontrol
switchto "LO"positionanddirectairflow awayfrom
theoccupant(s)oftheroom.
TOUSETHISPRODUCTTOCIRCULATEAIRWITHOUT
ADDEDCOOLING...
Thisproductcanbesafelyusedtocirculateroomair
withoutaddingmoisture,byoperatingitwithout
addinganywatertoit.Theswitchpositioncanbein
the "HI"or "LO"position.

Thecabinetsurfaceofthisunitishighlyresistantto
scaleandcorrosion.Asoftcloth,warmwaterand a
mildcleanserwillbringallsurfacesbackto like-new
appearance.Donotuseharshcleansers,steelwool
orsandpaperinnormalcleaningofcabinet,

Thefan motorwas permanentlylubricated atthe fac-
toryendrequiresnooiling.
FILTER/PADREPLACEMENT...
Formaximumcooling/humidifyingefficiency,thefilter
shouldbechangedtwice a year,ormorefrequently
dependingonlocalair andwater conditions.For
instance,inareaswherethemineralcontentofthe
waterishigh,depositsmaybuildupinthefilter
restrictingtheairflow. Replacementfilters areavail-
ablethroughyourlocaldealerorAdoheAir,Inc.
TOREPLACEFILTER/PAD.,.
Removethescrewfromeachsideofbackpaneland
removethepanel.Removethecrossbar(padretainer).
Removethefilter/pad bybendingtabsholdingittothe
frame endremoveanddiscardthepad.Reversethe
processtoinstallnewfilter/pad media.Make surethe
filter padiswrappedaroundthedistributortubethe
samedirectionasyouroldfilter pad.

coolerfilter/padmedia,willhefreefromdefectsin

A.Thiswarrantydoesnotcoveranyfailure, damage
ordefectthatresultsfromunauthorizedmodification
orservice;orfrom theuseof productorreplacement
