Target group These instructions are intended for "service technicians".
Intended use The DSP-Booster is a signal amplifier for line extension for 4 remote displays
(DSP002, DSP100, DSP-LCD).
WARNING!
Danger to life from electric shock and/or fire!
Switch off the power to the entire plant when installing, wiring or removing! Otherwise a
mains voltage and/or external voltage may still be present even if the control voltage is
switched off!
The wiring of the device should be carried out only by a qualified electrician!
Use only the correct tools for all work!
Check all wiring after connection!
Take note of the maximum loads on all connections!
Never expose the device to moisture, for example due to condensation or cleaning
agents!
Take the device out of operation if it is faulty or damaged and is therefore compromising
safe operation!
Do not open the device!
Do not repair the device yourself! If required, send it in for repair with an exact
description of the fault!
CAUTION!
Electromagnetic interference can cause faults!
Use only shielded data cables and install these far away from the load line!

Connection of FRIGOLINK cold location field modules FKV, FKL and
FRIGOENTRY cold location controller CRD-XP and CRDP-XP
Four pre-made cables of length 50cm are included with the DSP-Booster. Other lengths are available
on request, with a maximum length of 7m.
Use this cable to connect the DSP output of the cold location field module FKx or the cold location
controller CRD-XP and CRDP-XP with a display input (IN1-IN4) on the DSP-Booster.
Connecting the extension cable
Cable lengths of 400m can be connected to the DSP-Booster.
Here it is necessary to use a cable of type LiYCY(TP) 2x2x0.75mm² (twisted pair with copper braid).
1. Connect the extension cable with the DSP-Booster according to the following colour codes:
Green: Signal (OUT1-OUT4)
White: + (12V= Power out)
Brown: - (12V= Power out)
2. Cut the cable from the DSP002/DSP100/DSP-LCD above the connector.
3. Strip the individual wires.
4. Connect the extension cable to the cable of the DSP002/DSP100/DSP-LCD in the appropriate
manner.
Note!
▪The power supply for each two DSP002/DSP100/DSP-LCDs is taken from the 12V=
Power Out through a "+" and "-" terminal pair.
