Hardware Instruction

Press this button under Operating Mode to scan a barcode.
Used under iOS - Double-click the button to toggle the screen keyboard (N/A
under Android or Windows)
Sleeping Mode - Click this button once to wake up* from Sleeping Mode.
Bluetooth Mode - Press this button on hold around 10 seconds until
Bluetooth LED starts flashing and get into Bluetooth Pairing Mode. If the
scanner paired before, it is unpaired at the same time.
Scan Button
*Sleeping and wake up functions are only available when the scanner is
under Bluetooth Mode and uses the power of battery.
Battery Status LED
Under Operating Mode: Green Solid Light means full charged
Amber Solid Light means low power existed in the battery
Amber Flash Light means the battery is going to out of energy, Barcode
engine is forced to stop working.
No Light means out of power: Battery used to no power might affect the life
cycle of the battery. Alternatively, the battery might be damaged.
Under Charging Mode: If the light is not On, it means No Charging. Please
check if the USB cable plug in and the power supply is normal.
Green Flash Light means Charging Now
Green Solid Light means Full Charged
Battery Switch Off: The Light of Power is Off. The battery is not working and
charging

Red Light Flash (Activating) Please do not press the Scan Button
Red Light Off (Stand by) The scanner is activated and stands by for the next
motion
Red Light On once (Scanning Bar Code) Reading bar code correctly*.
Red Light Solid while using Memory Mode. When the bar code is reading
correctly, Red Light turns Off and On
*When the scanner is under Bluetooth Mode, scanning bar code correctly
does not mean transmitting the data to the Host successfully.
If the Bluetooth Status is under disconnection, the data does not be
transferred to the Host.

Switch to USB Mode Blue Light Off
While charging under Sleeping Mode, press trigger once to show the
charging indicator correctly.
Disconnected or No Signal - Blue Light flashing slowly
Wait for pairing with the Host - Blue Light flashing rapidly

One Long Beep - Reading bar code correctly.
Two Short Beeps - Reading bar code correctly when Bluetooth does not
connect under Bluetooth Mode, or the signal is unstable. The data does not
transmit.
When the scanner is under Bluetooth Mode, scanning bar code correctly does
not mean transmitting the data to the Host successfully.
If the Bluetooth Status does not connect, the data does not be transferred to
the Host.
Buzzer
Non-Slip Protective Material
Increase the friction force to avoid the scanner slipping from the palm. Matching
with a hand strap is better.
Protective Cover
Protect the USB connector and switches to avoid the dust intake.
USB / Bluetooth Switch
The switch to toggle USB or Bluetooth Mode. Please use the sharp part at
the backside of the Protective Cover to toggle the pin.
Do not touch the scanner window under any circumstances. Wipe the scanner
window using tissue moistened with water or neutral cleanser if bar code
reading is difficult.
If there is any dirt particles, use a damp cloth to remove them then wipe the
scanner window as mentioned previously. Waiting until the cleanser volatilizes
and the window gets dry.
Do not use a sharp and hard object to hit the window.

The switch for Power. Please use the sharp part at the backside of the
Protective Cover to slide the switch. Using Battery or charging is only available
when the power is on.
If it needs to standby for a long time, please slide the switch to Battery off to
save power.

Mini USB Connector
Slide the switch to Battery on - Connecting with the USB cable, it is available
for charging.
Slide the switch to USB - The scanner can read the barcode with wired.
Hand Strap Holes
Standard Threaded Socket for Tripod
The Auto-Sensing Mode is available for the scanner When this function is
activating. the scanner can be attached to a standard camera tripod.
Switch to USB Mode and Connected via OTG cable with mobile device - The
scanner can use with mobile device by wire*
*It is only available for the mobile devices which supply the power to the OTG
and switch the power Off
Both of the two above can exist at the same time.

Charging
Open cover and slide the switch Battery on.
While ERB-2109 is charging, no matter the switch slided to Bluetooth or USB,
it keeps working.
Connect this scanner and a computer with USB cable.
It is no charging if the Battery switch is off.
While charging under Sleeping Mode, press trigger once
to show the charging indicator correctly.
When the Green light turns solid, it is full charged.
While the Green light is flashing, it starts charging.
When the Green light is off, it is not charging.
Slide the switch Battery on.

Install Hand Strap
Power Off
• Remove Mini USB cable if it connected well with Host.
• Slide Battery switch Off.
Trouble Shooting
Can not scan:
• Bar code symbol not support, or this bar code type is not Enable.
• Window takes dirt. Please wipe the scanner window using tissue moistened with
water or neutral cleanser. Waiting until the cleanser volatilizes and the window goes
dry.
• Ambient brightness might be not enough. Please Enable the RED illumination light to
enhance it.
• Adjust reading angle and distance. Reading performance is affected under sunlight
or high screen light.
• Low power
Unable to activate:
• Under Bluetooth Mode: Power might be not enough.
• Under USB Mode: The cable might be not connected or loose.
• Under USB Mode: The power of Host is not enough. Please remove to another USB
port.
