2. System requirements
Before using the US2-400 Hybrid TV Stick, check if your system meets the
following requirements:
• Windows®XP SP2 / Windows®Vista
• Pentium® 4 2.0GHz CPU or above
• One free USB 2.0 port
• 512MB system memory or above
• AC97 compliant audio CODEC
• Microsoft®DirectX 9.0c
• Microsoft®DirectX 9.0c compliant graphics card / onboard GPU
• CD-ROM / DVD-ROM / BD-ROM drive
• 1GB free hard disk space for software installation
For Windows®Media Center, Time shifting, and MPEG-2 capturing

Windows®Vista OS
1. Plug the TV stick into a USB 2.0 port on your
computer.
2. Click Run ExpressTVAtr.exe from the AutoPlay
window.
3. Click Continue from the User Account Control
window.
4. The auto installation wizard launches. Follow the onscreen instructions to
complete the software installation.
To install the driver and utilities from the bundled Support CD:
1. Place the Support CD into the optical drive. An autorun screen appears if
Autorun is enabled on your computer.
2. Select Windows XP/Vista, then click Smart install wizard. The auto
installation wizard launches. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the
software installation.
NOTE: The auto installation wizard installs all the driver and applications for
your TV stick and synchronizes the TV country settings with your OS.
NOTE: Some anti-virus applications may block the auto installation wizard.
Double-click ExpressTVAtr.exe on the US2-400 to launch the auto installation
wizard.
3. Installing the software
To install the driver and utilities from the US2-400:
Windows®XP OS
1. Plug the TV stick into a USB 2.0 port on your computer.
2. The auto installation wizard launches automatically. Follow the onscreen
instructions to complete the software installation.

4. Setting up the hardware
To connect your US2-400 Hybrid TV Stick to other devices:
1. Connect the TV antenna, coaxial cable for analog TV reception, or FM antenna
to the TV-in/FM-in port on the TV stick. You may also connect a VCR/
camcorder to the AV-in port on the TV stick.
2. Plug the TV stick into a USB 2.0 port on your computer.
5. Watching TV using Arcsoft TotalMedia™
NOTE:WhenyouruntheTVmoduleforthersttime,ArcsoftTotalMedia™
prompts you to scan for available TV channels in your area.
To scan for available TV channels in your area:
1. Launch Arcsoft TotalMedia, then click TV to
continue.
2. Click NexttobeginconguringtheTVsignal.
3. Select your region and click Next.
4. Click Start to begin scanning for TV
channels. The detected channel information
appears on the Channel list.
5. Click Next when the scan is completed.
6. Select No from the Digital EPG screen, then click Next.
7. Click Finish to complete the channel scanning process.
NOTE: By default, Arcsoft TotalMedia scans for digital TV channels after you
installed the driver and utilities using the auto installation wizard.

6. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What can I do if I get poor signal reception?
• Digital TV reception capability varies depending on your area. Use a roof
antenna in low signal areas.
• Check if DVB-T TV is supported in your area.
• Mobile reception depends on the signal quality of your location.
• Check if your antenna is damaged or if it is connected properly.
• Reorient or relocate your antenna.
• Attach the antenna to metal.
• PCs/notebooks may cause harmful interference to radio or TV reception.
Increase the separation between your PC/notebook and the TV stick using a
USB extension cable to correct the interference.
What can I do if I do not want Arcsoft TotalMedia or the auto
installation wizard to pop up automatically at startup?
• Disable the Pop-up TV function.
• Press <Ctrl> when you plug in the TV stick.
How to restore the utilities to the TV stick if I deleted them from the
TV stick?
• AlenamedExpressTVRst.exe appears on your desktop after you installed
the driver and utilities from the US2-400. Double-click ExpressTVRst.exe to
start the recovery process.
• Reinstall the utilities from the Support CD.
a. Place the Support CD into the optical drive. An autorun screen appears if
Autorun is enabled on your computer.
b. Click Recovery US2-400. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete
the recovery process.
Why cannot I watch analog TV after installing the driver and utilities
using the auto installation wizard?
By default, Arcsoft TotalMedia scans for digital TV channels after you installed the
driver and utilities using the auto installation wizard. If you want to watch analog
TV, set the TV signal to Analog manually.
Do I need to adjust the TV country settings manually?
No. The auto installation wizard synchronizes the TV country settings with your OS
automatically.

une antenne FM au port TV-in/FM-in de la clé TV USB. Vous pouvez aussi
connecter un lecteur DVD/caméscope au port AV-in de la clé TV USB.
2. BranchezlacléTVsurl’undesportsUSB2.0devotreordinateur.
5. Regarder la TV avec Arcsoft TotalMedia™
REMARQUE :LorsquevouslancezlemoduleTVpourlapremièrefois,Arcsoft
TotalMedia™vousinviteàeffectuerunerecherchedechaînesTVdisponibles
dans votre région.
PourrechercherleschaînesTVdisponibles:
1. Lancez Arcsoft TotalMedia, puis cliquez sur TV pour continuer.
2. Cliquez sur Next(Suivant)pourcommencer
àcongurerlesignalTV.
3. Sélectionnez votre pays/région et cliquez sur
Next(Suivant).
4. Cliquez sur Start(Démarrer)pourlancerla

6. Foire aux questions (FAQ)
Que faire si le signal est de mauvaise qualité ?
• La qualité de la réception de contenu numérique varie selon les régions/pays.
Utilisez une antenne de toit dans les zones à faible couverture numérique.
• Assurez-vous que le réseau TNT est déployé dans votre région/pays.
• Laréceptionsanslvarieselonlesrégions/pays.
• Vériezquevotreantennen’estpasendommagéeetqu’elleestcorrectement
connectée.
• Réorientez ou déplacez votre antenne.
• Placezl’antennesurunesurfacemétallique.
• Les ordinateurs peuvent causer des interférences nuisibles à la réception de
signal TV ou radio. Augmentez la distance de séparation entre votre ordinateur
etlacléTVUSBàl’aided’uncâbled’extensionUSB.
Que faire pour éviter que Arcsoft TotalMedia ou l’assistant
d’installation ne se lance au démarrage ?
• Désactivez la fonction Pop-up TV.
• Appuyez sur <Ctrl> lorsque vous connectez la clé TV USB.
Comment restaurer les utilitaires sur la clé TV USB lorsque ceux-ci
ont été supprimés ?
• UnchiernomméExpressTVRst.exe apparaîtsurvotrebureauaprès
l’installationdupiloteetdesutilitaires.Double-cliquezsurExpressTVRst.exe
pour démarrer le processus de restauration.
• Réinstallez les utilitaires à partir du CD de support.
a. Unécrand’exécutionautomatiqueapparaîtsicettefonctionestactivée
sur votre ordinateur.
b. Cliquez sur Recovery US2-400. Suivez les instructions apparaissant à

Pourquoi ne puis-je pas regarder la TV analogique après avoir
installer le pilote et les utilitaires à partir de l’assistant d’installation ?

quevousayezinstallélepiloteetlesutilitairesvial’assistantd’installation.Pour
regarderdesprogrammesTVanalogiques,dénissezlesignalTVsuranalogique
manuellement.
Dois-je ajuster mes paramètres TV régionaux manuellement ?
