BASIC LINE Plain Buffet OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The units listed in these operating instructions are used to display and serve food and drinks,
and house catering accessories and a cash register station. They can be used as:
• A drinks bar for non-refrigerated drinks and bottles
• A support for a coffee machine or tea-making, including accessories
• A bread/roll counter
• A dish/silverware placement area
• Payment point
• Soup station/plate dispenser
The units listed in these operating instructions are primarily suited for use in catering facilities in
schools, companies, government offices, hospitals and retirement homes (canteens, cafeterias
and dining halls) and in hotels and the food service industry.
It is forbidden to transport persons with or on the unit or its attachments. The unit may not be
used as a substitute for a ladder or as climbing frame (for children). There is a danger of tipping.
The unit must not be used to transport or store dangerous or toxic substances/liquids.
Environment

The unit may be used wherever the ambient temperature is between +15°C and +38°C and at
normal humidity (without condensation) in closed rooms or in roofed areas where it will not be
exposed to the weather.
The unit has been developed for usage at up to 2,000mabove sea level.
Instruction of third parties
If the unit is lent to third parties, these persons must be instructed in the safe handling of the unit
and possible dangers must be pointed out.
General information
The units listed in these operating instructions comprise serving modules with a stainless steel
top surface and a standard unit underframe made of powder-coated, galvanised thin sheet.
An optional heat bridge (for BASIC LINE N-3/4) with a customer-/operator-side sneeze guard
and 3 or 4 radiant heaters, depending on the model, helps to keep hot food warm. LED spot-
lights with or without radiant heaters are available as an option to ensure optimum presentation
of food.
The units are fitted with a fold-down tray slide or plate slide on the customer side. An additional
fold-down tray slide is available as option for the operator side. The interior corner modules,
cash register station and servery counters are exceptions in this respect.
