Carefully review all
installation options and instructions
before proceeding.
For safety purposes, use
safety goggles at all times.
Check for piping /
electrical before cutting or drilling.
Some electrical
components are not waterproof.
If there is any risk of
uninsulated electrical connections in
your wall / ceiling area, use insulating
gloves.
The Spectrum 350 can be
controlled by the use of a light switch
provided by others. NEVER place a
switch where it can be reached from a
tub or shower.
All wiring must be done in
accordance with National Electric Code
and local building code.
The Spectrum 350 should
be installed by a licensed, qualified
electrician.
Consider light placement
carefully. The fixture(s) for this system
should be placed to avoid direct contact
with the bather’s eyes.
Spectrum 350 recessed
fixture is designed to meet the latest
NEC requirements and is listed in full
compliance with UL1571, 1570 or
1598. Before attempting installation
of any recessed lighting fixture, check
your local electrical building code. This
code sets the wiring and installation
requirements for your locality and
should be understood before starting
your work

Spectrum 350
1. Consider the use of lighting
within the bathing environment
when determining the Spectrum
350 installation location.
2. Provide electrical service
according to your electric
code to the seelected fixture
installation area. Supply wire
must be rated for at least 194°F
(90°C).
3. Apply finished material around
the fixture housing cut-out.
Note: Finished hole diameter
must not exceed 5-1/2”
diameter. Ceiling materials
must not exceed 1-1/8” thick.
4. Remove fixture wire box cover
and appropriate knock-out to
connect flexible metal conduit to
wiring box with proper connector
(not supplied).
5. Connect supply wires to fixture
wires with proper size wire
nuts (not supplied), so as to
cover all bare current-carrying
conductors. Connect black
fixture wire to black (hot) power
supply wire, white fixture wire to
white (neutral) power suply wire,
and green fixture wire to green
(ground) wire.
6. Place all wiring and connections
back into wiring box and replace
cover.

7. Press housing through ceiling
opening so it is flush to the
finish material.
8. While holding fixture firmly
in place, push retention clips
outward until each clip tab clicks
into position.

10. Loosen wing nuts of socket
plates. Using a screw driver,
slide the socket plates inside the
housing (A) over their stop pins.
Push base of housing (A) down.
11. Twist lamp socket inside housing
(A) to release from base.
12. Disassamble lamp housing (B)
and trim (D). Note: Be careful
with glass lens.

13. Snap lamp housing (B) onto
lamp socket of housing (A).
Install 40W A19 (provided) lamp
(C) into lamp socket of housing
(A) making certain to not touch
exposed lamp (C).
14. Reassamble lamp housing (B)
and trim (D).
15. Slide spring coils of Trim (D) into
C-clamps of Housing (A).

Product Care
For routine cleaning, simply use
a soft damp cloth and common
household soap. Use a damp cloth
to wipe clean, then dry. Clean
product frequently to avoid calcium
deposits on surfaces. Use only
mild soap. Never use abrasive
cleaners, bleach, disinfectants
or cleaning products containing
alcohol, ammonia, hydrochloric
or phosphoric acids as they may
damage the product’s finish. To
clean electrical components, gently
wipe down using a dry cloth or
duster. Never use a wet duster,
water, or any other liquid to clean
the device.
