AUTOMATIC TEA BREWING FUNCTION
The kettle can be used both for water boiling and tea brewing.
BREWING TEMPERATURE AND TEA
STRENGTH CONTROL
Electronic control allows to set the brewing temperature and strength at your
discretion. This function allows you to experiment with brewing a variety of teas
and get drinks with a variety of flavors.

QUICK BREWING FUNCTION
During the brewing cycle, the tea infuser automatically goes up and down,
which facilitates water circulation, increases the strength of the drink and
speeds up the brewing process.
DELAYED START FUNCTION
Thanks to the timer, the kettle may be programmed to switch on at any
convenient time.
DESIRED TEMPERATURE MAINTENANCE
FUNCTION
The kettle maintains temperature during one hour after switch off.

TEMPERATURE AND TEA STRENGTH
ADJUSTMENT
The kettle has three preset brewing strength modes – strong, medium and
mild — and five temperature modes. There is the manual settings adjustment
option that allows to choose the desired strength and brewing temperature. The
kettle allows brewing tea taking into account the tea variety, leaf fineness and
when the tea was plucked.
SETTINGS STORAGE FUNCTION
After the water is boiled or the tea is brewed, the appliance saves the user
settings, including after unplugging of the appliance.
SAFETY AND RELIABILITY
Absolute safety is warranted by the automatic switch off system in case of
overheating or absence of water, as well as by the system protecting the
kettle’s base from moisture.

BREWING TEMPERATURE AND TIME
INDICATION
The electronic sensor ensures control of heating, brewing time and water
temperature. The temperature sensor readings are displayed online allowing to
control the tea brewing and water heating process.
Note. To convert Celsius degrees into Fahrenheit degrees simultaneously hold
down buttons “Tea type” and “Strength”.

OPERATIONOPERATION
WATER BOILING
• To boil water press HOT WATER / CANCEL
button.
• During heating current temperature indication
TEMP and kettle’s operation indication ON will be
displayed.
• When water heating is over you will hear 3 sound
signals and automatic timing indication of up to
60 minutes TIME SINCE BREW will be displayed.
TEA BREWING
Select the desired temperature mode:
• Green
• Black
• White
• Herbal
• Oolong
Brewing temperature indication BREW TEMP will
be displayed.
Set the desired brewing strength.
• Mild
• Medium
• Strong
• Brewing time indication BREW TIME will be
displayed.
• To start the brewing process press TEA /
CANCEL button.
• In the course of tea brewing countdown indication
BREW TIME will be displayed.
• When the brewing process is over you will hear
3 sound signals and automatic timing indication
of up to 60 minutes TIME SINCE BREW will be
displayed.

Individual tea brewing settings — Custom
• With the help of the arrows set the necessary
brewing temperature BREW TEMP within the
range of 70–100 ˚С, brewing time BREW TIME up
to 10 minutes, then press TEA / CANCEL button.
• When you select the tea brewing time of over
10 minutes manual control mode will be
activated, and «––:––», as well as manual
control indication MANUAL LIFT will be
displayed.
• To lift the basket press and hold down the
BASKET button for 2 seconds.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
AUTO START Delayed Start Function
To program the kettle for switch on in any
convenient time enter the brewing settings: tea type
and brewing strength. Press and hold down the
AUTO START button for 2 seconds.
If you want to boil water at a definite time, do not
enter the tea brewing settings.
• With the help of the arrows enter the current
time CURRENT TIME and automatic start time
START TIME. Select the desired operating mode:
water boiling HOT WATER / CANCEL or tea
brewing TEA / CANCEL.

Set temperature maintenance function —
KEEP WARM
You can switch on the function before, during or
after the tea brewing or water heating cycle by
pressing the KEEP WARM button.
Temperature can be maintained for up to
60 minutes within the range of 70–80 ˚С.
The function will not be activated if the water
temperature is below 50˚С.

BASKET
• Press the BASKET button. The basket will start to
go up and down automatically during the brewing
cycle.
• Quick brewing function indication BASKET CYCLE
will be displayed.
• When you press the button again, the function
will be switched off and the basket will be fixed in
the lower position.
ERROR MESSAGES
RESET — flashing indication, power supply failure
message. Unplug the kettle and switch it on again
in 5 seconds.
ERROR — flashing indication, operation failure
message. Refer to BORK authorized service center.
RECOMMENDATIONS
• Water quality affects the flavor of drinks. To
receive a good result use regenerated water.
• Do not leave the brewed tea in the jar overnight.
• Fine-cut tea is brewed quicker and stronger than
leaf tea. To avoid excessive strength and hard
flavor adjust the brewing time depending on the
degree of the tea leaf fineness.
CLASSICAL VARIETIES OF TEA
Long time ago tea firmly occupied its place in the
modern culture. It is difficult to say something new,
but you can feel it. Moreover, a new feeling is born
each time you drink tea. It’s like experiencing a new
story.
The first well-known secret of tea is that tea
creates refined feelings, which frame the quality of
your day.
Nowadays tea has a stable fame of a “drink of
health”, it has a unique ability to take everything
rare and necessary from the Sky and the Earth and
to give it in the health solution.
In recent years propensity for good tea also became
an attribute of refined taste as the skill to have an
eye for art, distinguished wines and elegant jewelry.
Tea experts know about the importance of water
temperature and tea brewing time for correct
opening of its taste and flavor.
Green, yellow and jasmine tea cannot stand
high water temperature, whereas refined ether
components quickly burn in boiling water. It opens
up best of all at the temperature of about 80 °С.
Best varieties of white tea are made of the tea tree
bugs covered with natural bloom. Therefore, white
tea needs careful attitude and is brewed with water
at the temperature of no more than 85˚С.
Oolong tea is made of a rather large and ripe leaf —
often with the cutting. It is recommended to brew
such leaf with boiling water of 90˚С,otherwise the
leaf will not open up.
Cliff oolong tea and puerh have a stronger
fermentation level. The optimal brewing
temperature comprises 95˚С.
Black teas open their taste and flavor at the
temperature of 100˚С.
