Setting Up Using the

Setup Guide

When you turn the machine on for the first time, the

Setup Guide starts up on the operation panel.

Drivers

Install the software and drivers from the CD/DVD-ROM

included, or visit the URL below and download them from

the Canon website for your country/region.

Adjusting the Gradation Automatically

Specify basic settings such as the screen display

language and the type of paper used.

You can adjust the color gradations to get a better

printing result.

Set the machine's date and time.

Specify the settings for connecting the machine to a

network.

Select a wired LAN or wireless LAN and specify the IP

address. Depending on your network environment,

specify the DNS and proxy settings also.

Specify the administrator login and user authentication

settings to improve the security of the machine.

The default administrator login is "Administrator"

and the default password is "7654321".

Specify the settings required for using the fax

functions.

Lorsque vous allumez l'appareil pour la première fois,

le guide de configuration s'ouvre sur le panneau de

commande.

Installez le logiciel et les pilotes avec le CD/DVD-ROM

Réglages configurables

Réglage automatique des dégradés

Faites les réglages de base comme la sélection de la

langue d'affichage et du type de papier à utiliser.

Vous pouvez régler les dégradés de couleur pour

améliorer les résultats d'impression.

Sélectionnez un réseau filaire ou sans fil et définissez

une adresseIP. Selon l'environnement réseau utilisé,

faites aussi les réglages DNS et proxy.

Définissez les informations de connexion de

l'administrateur et d'authentification des utilisateurs

pour renforcer la sécurité de l'appareil.

Le nom de connexion par défaut est "Administrator"

et le mot de passe par défaut est "7654321".

Faites les réglages nécessaires pour l'utilisation des

fonctions de télécopie.
