1. Install the machine in the location where

it will be used.

Carry the machine with two or more people.

2. Remove all packing material.

Remove all of the tape.

Load the toner cartridge

Installing the Optional

Part

If you are not using optional part, proceed to

step .

Before Installing the Optional Part

After the machine has been installed, perform the following

before installing the optional part:

1. Turn OFF the machine and your computer.

2. Unplug the machine from the mains power outlet.

3. Disconnect all cords and cables from the machine.

Paper Feeder / Envelope Feeder

1. Remove all packing material.

For the paper feeder

For the envelope feeder

2. Install the paper feeder or envelope feeder

in the location where it will be used.

• You can stack a maximum of the main unit and

four paper feeders. Each of the top two paper

feeders can be changed to an envelope feeder.

Paper Deck Unit

1. Remove all the packaging material.

2. Install the paper deck unit in the location

where it will be used.

Two or more people are required when lifting up the

paper deck unit.

Turn the two leveling

feet to secure the paper

deck unit to the floor.

7. Remove the packaging material inside the

paper deck unit.

8. Adjust the lever to the paper size.

• Make sure to set the lever to the paper size.

Setting the levers in a different position may

result in a paper jam.

• You can stack a maximum of the main unit, three

paper feeders, and the paper deck unit.

Specifying the Basic

Settings

When you turn on the machine for the first time, the Setup

Guide appears on the operation panel. Perform the initial

machine setup by following the on-screen instructions.

Operation panel

1. Select the language, and the country/region.

2. Select the time zone.

3. Set the current date/time.

Specifying the Security

Settings

To prevent unauthorized access to the machine, set access

restrictions for Remote UI.

What is Remote UI?

Remote UI allows you to use your computer’s Web

browser to check the machine’s operating status

and change settings.

1. Check the message and press .

2. Select <Yes>.

To continue without setting a password, select <No>

and proceed to“Specifying the Network Settings”.

3. Enter a password and select <Apply>.

Enter the same password again and select <Apply>.

4. Check the message and press .

Specifying the Network

Settings

Specify the settings for connecting the machine to a

network. Before proceeding, check that the computer and

router are correctly connected to the network.

• For information on the procedure when <Wired

LAN+Wired LAN> or <Wired LAN+Wireless LAN> is

used, see the User’s Guide.

Wired LAN

1. Select <Wired LAN>.

2. Connect the LAN cable.

It is necessary to specify the IP address to connect

the machine to the network. For details, see the

User’s Guide.

Wireless LAN

The example described in this document is for the <SSID

Settings>. See the User’s Guide for information on other

configuration procedures.

1. Check the router's "SSID" and "Network

key."

SSID : XXXXXXXXXXXX

Network key : XXXXXXXXXXXX

2. Select <Wireless LAN>.

3. Check the message and press .

4. Select <SSID Settings>.

95. Select <Select Access Point>.

6. Select the router with the matching SSID.

If the <Apply settings of IEEE 802.1X Settings to the

connection?> message appears, select <Yes> and

proceed to step 8below.

7. Enter the network key you checked above

and select <Apply>.

8. Select <Yes>.

• Once a connection is established, the home

screen appears.

• It is necessary to specify the IP address to connect

the machine to the network. For details, see the

User’s Guide.

Installing the Software/

Drivers

To use the print function of the machine, you must install

the printer driver.

Downloading from the Canon website

1. Search for“(model name) download.”

Example: LBP361dw download

XXXXXXX download

If you cannot find the download site, go to

https://global.canon/en/support/

2. Download the software and drivers, and

install them on your computer.

Installing from the Bundled CD/DVD-

ROM

1. Load the CD/DVD-ROM into your computer,

and install the software and drivers.

For normal installation, select “Easy Installation.”

Selecting “Easy Installation” installs the drivers along

with the standard software and manuals.

1. Scan the QR code to open the website to the

Canon online manual.

2. Open the User’s Guide.

Mobile Device (Linking with

Mobile Devices)

This machine can be used from mobile devices such as

smartphones. This makes it easy to print documents or

photos from a mobile device.

Remote UI allows this machine to be managed using the

Web browser on a computer. You can use it to check the
