1. Welcome to Custom Integration Solutions™
Thank you for purchasing CIS devices. Our solutions make it easy for integrators to deploy networks in home and business set-
tings with minimal conguration. Our support team can provide assistance in setting up the equipment and answering your
questions.
3. Overview
The small but powerful CIS-WAP wireless access point is perfect for all your mobile devices.
• The CIS-WAP provides 2.4 GHz connectivity at speeds of up to 300 Mbit/s, and supports 802.11b/g/n.
• CIS Access points are weatherproof, and can be xed to any external wall or ceiling from the inside of the case. The
bottom door can also be secured with a special security screw, which can only be opened by integrators.
• The 360° coverage pattern makes the CIS-WAP ideal for business and residential applications.
• It is possible to run the ethernet cable through the back of the case to keep it hidden when mounting the access point.
Power
The CIS-WAP can be powered by the included 24V DC Adapter, or via PoE. The device accepts 12-57V passive, or 802.3af/at PoE if
using unshielded ethernet cable.
Maximum power consumption at 24V is 4W.

LED indicators
• PWR—lit when the device is powered on.
• AP/CAP—Off when operating in standalone mode. Lights up when controlled
by Wireless Manager on a CIS router.
• 2 GHz—ashes when wireless activity is detected.
• ETH—ashes when activity is detected on the ethernet port.
Ports
• 1 10/100 ethernet port. Accepts passive PoE or 802.3af/at power.
• 1 Power jack. Accepts 12—57V DC
Buttons
Reset button: Hold this button during boot until the LED light starts ashing, (5 seconds) then release the button to reset to
the default CIS conguration. You can use this procedure if you have forgotten the password to access the device, or simply
wish to return the unit to its default conguration state.
4. Mounting Options
The CIS-WAP can be securely mounted on a wall, ceiling, or attached to a pole with the included cable ties.
1. Use the template (included in the box) to mark the location of the screw holes.
2. If mounting to a wall, plug the holes with the included plastic anchors. If mounting to a ceiling, you may place the
included steel plate on the other side of the surface for reinforcement.
3. Use the included screws to attach the mounting plate to the plugs (wall mount) or steel bracket (ceiling mount).
4. Pull the Ethernet cable through the breakaway tab into the CIS-WAP enclosure.
5. Attach the CIS-WAP to the mounting bracket.
6. Close the cover and lock the enclosure.

5. Accessing the Web Interface
1. Connect your laptop to the router.
2. Obtain the IP address of the access point by checking the leases provided by the DHCP server on the router.
3. Open a web browser and enter the IP address of the access point in the address bar.
4. To login, enter the username cis and password integration.
5. Integrators may use the Get TeamViewer link if remote assistance is required.

The Status Page
The status page provides basic diagnostic information. There is a CIS Support Address should you require assistance. The Iden-
tity will show you which device you are accessing on your network. It will be displayed in the tab of your browser. You can
view the IP addresses, uptime, memory usage and load on the CPU.

The Undo and Redo Buttons
Undo and Redo buttons are located in the left toolbar. You may use them to quickly undo/redo any changes made to congu-
ration.
Show/Hide Passwords
Selecting the Hide Passwords button in the left toolbar will reveal or hide passwords related to Wi-Fi, Hotspot, and more.
Set the System Identity
The system identity is used to identify your device on the network. It is essential to have the identity of the access points set
to their locations for troubleshooting purposes.
The Identity setting can be found in the System tab in the left toolbar.

Rebooting the Device
If you are having issues with the access point and suspect a reboot will help, the Reboot option can be found under the Sys-
tem tab in the left toolbar. Clicking reboot will ask for conrmation before proceeding.
Setting the Clock
You can nd the Clock settings under the System tab in the left toolbar. Ensure the time zone is set correctly.
Changing the Default Password
The default username is cis and the password is integration. After you log in for the rst time, please create a new a password
to increase the security of the device.

6. Setting the IP Address
CIS recommends creating a DHCP reservation for access points, and other network infrastructure devices. Follow the instruc-
tions in the manual for your router to set a reservation.
Renewing the DHCP lease
To renew the DHCP lease for the access point, click on the entry containing the current IP address in the DHCP client tab.
Click the Renew button to obtain the new IP address from the DHCP server.

Setting a Static IP Address
To set a static IP, select the Addresses tab under IP in the toolbar on the left. Select the disabled interface.
It is highly recommended you perform an IP Scan (see the IP Scan tool) before assigning a static IP address. The IP address
you assign must be unused, and outside of the range of the DHCP pool. Check the Enabled box. You can only use IP addresses
in the 172.16.1.0/24, 10.100.1.0/24, 192.168.1.0/24 and 192.168.0.0/24 ranges! If you require a different network address, please
contact CIS for assistance.
You must disable the DHCP client once the static address is set.
