Q. How do I upgrade the firmware of the switch via TFTP?

A. Complete these steps in order to upgrade the switch firmware via TFTP:

Check the model and version number at the back of the switch.

Note: If there is no hardware version displayed beside the model number, the device

is considered version 1.

Go to Cisco Software Center ( registered customers only) . Cisco recommends that you

perform all firmware upgrades on your local network, not remotely.

Note: You need a registered account to login. If you do not already have one, please
