Safety
• Incorrect handling of this blender could result in personal injury.
• Great care should be exercised when handling and cleaning
theblade and thejug. Theblade is verysharp.
• Theblender should always be disconnected from
themains when it is not in use, when it is to be assembled/
disassembled and when it is to be cleaned.
• Theblender must not be used by children. Ensure that
theblender and its mains lead are kept out of children’sreach.
• Theblender must only be used with theincluded motorunit.
• Note: Ensure that theblender is switched off before thejug is
removed from themotorunit.
• Switch theblender off and disconnect it from themains
before removing theblade or any of themovingparts.
• Theblender may be used by persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capability, lack of experience or knowledge
which could jeopardise their safety, provided they have been

• Always remove thejug from themotor unit before cleaning.
Theblade is extremely sharp and could cause serious
personal injury if theblender were to start accidentally.
• To prevent electric shocks, theblender and its mains lead
should always be keptdry.
• Never position themains lead close to hot surfaces or in such
away that it could be damaged by sharp edges or corners.
• Always disconnect theblender from thepower supply by
holding and pulling theplug. Donot pull themainslead.
• Make sure that all parts are correctly assembled and
that theblender is switched off before it is connected to
thepowersupply.
• Never operate theblender without food in thejug.
• Never use theblender close to heat sources.
• Only use thesupplied parts and/or accessories.
• Theblender should only be used as described in this manual.
• Never use theblender if it is in any way damaged or
malfunctioning.
• Themains lead should be checked regularly. Neveruse
theblender if themains lead or plug is damaged.
• Themains lead must be changed if damaged. Thisis to
prevent therisk of electric shock or fire and should only be
carried out by themanufacturer, authorised service facility or
aqualified tradesman.

Operating instructions
Tips and advice
• Never run theblender for more than 2 minutes at atime. Letthemotor cool down
for afew minutes before using theblenderagain.
• Never run theblenderempty.
• If frozen ingredients are to be mixed, they should be mixed as soon as they are
placed in thejug, otherwise they might freeze together and jam theblades.
• Do not fill thejug with hot liquid as thepressure build-up in theblender can be toohigh.
• Never shake thejug whilst themotor is running. Ifingredients get stuck on
thesides of thejug, shut off theblender and use aspatulaetc. Donot start
theblender again until you have replaced thelid properly.
• Theglass jug can withstand contents with temperatures up to 60ºC. Donot mix
hot ingredients with ice-cold ingredients, thedifferences in temperature could
cause theglass tocrack.

Important considerations
• Always keep one hand on thelid when running theblender.
• Use extra caution when blending hot liquids.
• Use theinterval mode (or use themanual mode and choose your own intervals)
when mixing solid ingredients or very thick liquids to prevent theblades from
becomingstuck.
Mixing solid foodstuffs into purée
1. Cut theingredients into small pieces (2–3 cm), remove thecentre cap and add
afew pieces at atime. Thisis better than adding everything all atonce.
2. Always add alittle liquid to solid foodstuffs before starting to mixthem. Moreliquid
can then gradually be poured into thejug through thehole in thelid once
thecentre cap has been removed.
3. Thoroughly clean all parts before using theblender for thefirsttime. Referto
theCare and maintenance section.
4. Add theingredients to thejug.
5. Put thelid (2) and thecentre cap (1) on thejug.
6. Place thejug onto themotorunit.
7. Plug themains lead into anelectrical socket and switch thecompletely assembled
blender on by turning thefunction selector to anappropriate setting for
thecontents of thejug.
Programme
Ice crush mode
1. Press [ice crush], therespective
LED willlight. Theblender will run on
anautomatic programme with different
speeds and pauses.
2. Theprogramme will automatically stop after
approximately 70 seconds. Theprogramme
can be interrupted at any time by pressing
the [►/■] button. Themotor will stop and
all three LEDs willflash.
Smoothie mode
1. Press [smoothie], therespective LED
willlight. Theblender will start anautomatic
programme with different speeds.
2. Theprogramme will automatically stop
after 60 seconds. Theprogramme can
be interrupted at any time by pressing the
[►/■] button. Themotor will stop and all
three LEDs willflash.

Interval mode
Press [interval], theblender will start anautomatic programme with different speeds.
Theprogramme will automatically stop after approximately 45 seconds. Theprogram-
me can be interrupted at any time by pressing the [►/■] button. Themotor will stop
and all three LEDs willflash.
Manual mode
1. Set thefunction selector to thedesired speed setting.
2. Press [►/■] tostart.
3. Press [►/■] or turn thefunction selector to 0to switch theblenderoff.
Note: Theblender will only start if theglass jug is fitted correctly. Theblender is fitted
with asafety switch to prevent themotor from operating unless thejug is inplace.
Turn thefunction selector to 0and unplug theblender afteruse.
Care and maintenance
Note:
• Switch theblender off by turning thefunction switch to 0and unplug it before
cleaningit. Exercise extreme caution. Takecare when handling theblade unit –
theblades are extremelysharp.
• Never immerse themotor unit intowater. Wipetheoutside of themotor unit with
aclean, dampcloth.
Cleaning the jug with the blades fitted
Empty thejug, fill it with water, add alittle washing-up liquid, put thejug back onto
themotor unit and turn thefunction selector to theintervalmode. Operate theblender
until you are satisfied that any food residue has been washed off thesides of thejug and
then empty thedishwater out of thejug. Rinsethejug with clean water and let itdry.
Cleaning with the blades removed
1. Turn thejug upside down and remove thejug base by turning it anticlockwise.
2. Lift out theblade unit, remove theseal and wash all theparts.
3. Let theparts air dry before re-assembling them in thejug. Referto thepicture in
theProduct description section to ensure that theseal is fitted correctly.
4. If necessary thejug and thejug base (6) can be washed in thedishwasher.
Note: Onlythejug and thejug base are dishwasher proof, all theother parts must
be washed byhand.
Switch theblender off, unplug themains lead from thewall socket and store
thecleaned blender in adry, dust-free place out children’s reach whenever it is not to
be used for any extended period.

Användning
Tips och råd
• Kör aldrig blendern imer än 2 minuter åt gången. Låtmotorn kylas av inågon
minut innan du använder blendernigen.
• Kör aldrig blendern torr (med tom glaskanna).
• Om djupfrysta ingredienser ska mixas måste det göras direkt efter att ingredienserna
har lagtsi. Ingredienserna kan annars frysa ihop och blockera knivarna.
• Mixa inte enbart varm vätska, trycket inuti glaskannan kan bli förstort.
• Skaka aldrig kannan vid användning. Omingredienserna fastnar på kannans
väggar, stäng av blendern och använd enslickepott eller liknande. Starta inte
blendern igen förrän du satt tillbaka locket ordentligt.
• Glaskannan tål varma ingredienser upp till 60ºC. Blanda inte mycket varma
ingredienser med iskalla, glaskannan kan spricka om temperaturskillnaderna blir
förstora.
