Purpose:
This service note provides instruction for replacement of the Transducer and Match
Network in an LE220 system.
Parts:
500322, LE220 Transducer and Match Network Repair Kit
Tools / Equipment Required
•9/16” Open End Wrench
•3mm Hex Wrench or Driver
•Philips Head Screwdriver (#1)

1.9. At top electronics panel, twist off BNC Cable off of Match Network PCBA.
Then remove Match Network PCBA by unscrewing two screws shown.
2. Install Replacement Transducer and Match Network Pair
2.1.1. Install Match Network on the top electronics plate with 2 screws. Re-
connect the BNC Cable at designator J1.
2.1.2. Inside the instrument, slide lock washer onto the Match Network BNC
hardware and then hand screw the nut. Tighten the nut onto the BNC
connector using the 9/16” wrench.
2.1.3. Obtain the Transducer (with brackets) and check the Serial Number
denoted on the outside of the BNC Cable. Verify that this matches the
Serial Number of the Match Network.
2.1.4. While carefully holding transducer (and brackets) in place, install 4 hex
screws into manifold. Do not tighten all screws until they are all in
place.
