Les pompes centrifuges verticales IM ont été conçues confor-

mément à la Directive Machines 2006/42/CE. Par conséquent,

elles ne présentent aucun danger pour l’opérateur si utilisées

selon les instructions fournies dans le présent manuel.

Ce dernier doit être conservé en bon état et/ou joint à la ma-

chine pour toute consultation ultérieure.

Le fabricant décline toute responsabilité en cas de modica-

tion, falsication, applications erronées ou toute opération en-

treprise non conforme aux indications fournies dans le présent

manuel, qui peuvent provoquer des dommages à la sécurité,

FOREWORD

The IM vertical, centrifugal pumps have been manufactured

in accordance with the 2006/42/CE. Therefore, when used

according to the instructions contained in this manual, the IM

pumps will not pose any risk to the operator.

This manual must be kept in good conditions and/or be kept

with the machine as a reference. The manufacturer declines any

liability concerning any changes, tampering, incorrect use or op-

eration not complying with the contents of this manual that may

constitute a health and safety hazard to people, animals or

property nearby the pump. The Manufacturer trusts you will take

full advantage of the performance offered by IM vertical pumps.

All technical parameters refer to the standard IM models (please

see “TECHNICAL FEATURES”). However, constant search for

innovation and technological quality may change the features

herein detailed without prior notice.

All drawings and all the documentation supplied with the pump

are property of the Manufacturer, who reserves itself all rights

and FORBIDS distribution to third parties without his authori-

zation in writing.

PRÉSENTATION DU MANUEL

Le présent manuel fait partie intégrante de la pompe, il s’agit

d’un DISPOSITIF DE SÉCURITÉ et contient des informations

importantes an que l’acquéreur et son personnel puissent

installer, utiliser et maintenir la pompe dans un état d’efcacité

et de sécurité pendant toute sa durée de vie. Au début de

chaque chapitre et de chaque section, une ligne d’état a été

créée qui indique à travers des symboles le personnel habilité

à l’intervention, les protections individuelles obligatoires et/ou

l’état énergétique de la pompe.

Le risque résiduel durant l’opération est mis en évidence avec

des symboles spéciaux intégrés dans le texte.

Du point de vue graphique, des symboles seront utilisés à

l’intérieur du manuel pour mettre en relief et différencier des

informations ou suggestions particulières en matière de sécurité

et pour le bon fonctionnement de la pompe.

INTRODUCTION

This manual is an integral part of the pump, and represents

a SAFETY DEVICE. It contains important information that

will assist the purchaser and his personnel in installing, us-

ing and maintaining the pump in safe and in good conditions

during its life.

At the beginning of each chapter and section there is a status

bar: its symbols state the personnel qualied for the operation/

s in question, the compulsory individual protective devices to

wear and/or the power state of the pump. Any other hazard that

may occur during operations is highlighted by special symbols

embedded in the text.

Special identication symbols are used to highlight and differ-

entiate particular information or suggestions concerning safety

and correct use of the pump.

to electrical operations: connection, standard maintenance

and/or repairs.

EXTRA-ORDINARY OPERATIONS: identies work

reserved for assistance service technicians and

that must only be carried out in the manufacturer’s

workshop.

ne e alla manutenzione della pompa deve avere

adeguata preparazione tecnica unita a cognizioni

idonee al campo di applicazione (compatibilità ade-

DESCRIPTION DE LA POMPE

Utilisation prévue

Les pompes centrifuges verticales en résine IM ont été proje-

tées et construites pour le pompage en cuve de liquides ayant

une viscosité apparente de 1 à 500 cps, de matériaux com-

patibles chimiquement avec les composants de construction

de la pompe.

Le fonctionnement de la pompe est autorisé avec des tem-

pératures de service du uide de +3°C jusqu’à un maximum

de 95°C ; en fonction du type de matériau de composition de

la pompe (voir CARACTÉRISTIQUES TECHNIQUES p. 9).

Les pompes centrifuges IM sont conçues pour le fonctionne-

ment jusqu’à un maximum de 3 000 tours/minute, avec des

moteurs en prise directe à travers un joint de transmission

élastique ayant les caractéristiques techniques de fabrication

suivantes :

ATTENTION : si le champ de variation de la tem-

pérature ambiante et des températures de proces-

sus du uide est proche à celles maximales de la

pompe, en fonction des matériaux de composition (voir

CARACTÉRISTIQUES TECHNIQUES p. 9), il faut monter

sur l’installation un dispositif de protection qui empêche

le fonctionnement et/ou l’obtention de la température

limite.

PUMP DESCRIPTION

Proposed use

IM resin-made, vertical, centrifugal pumps have been designed

and manufactured to pump below head liquids having an ap-

parent viscosity between 1 and 500cps, and that are chemically

compatible with the pump manufacturing materials.

The pump is designed to operated with a uid working tempera-

ture of between +3°C and 95°C, in accordance with the type

of manufacturing material of the pump in question (pls refer to

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS pg. 9).

IM centrifugal pumps are designed for a max working speed of

3000 revs/min., with direct drive motors assembled with having

the following technicalmanufacturing characteristics:

- Euro tension;

- S1 status (continuous operation)

- Class F insulation;

- IP 55 protection rating.

WARNING: Whenever the variation range of the

ambient temperature as well as of the uid process

temperature approaches the max pump tempera-

tures, in accordance with the pump manufacturing material

(pls refer to TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS, pg 9), it is

necessary to safeguard the plant installing a protection

device stopping the pump and/or

Principe de fonctionnement

Les pompes centrifuges verticales IM doivent être oppor-

tunément installées en les fixant dans la cuve avec des

précautions appropriées pour éviter la formation de tourbillons

et l’éventuelle aspiration de bulles d’air. Son fonctionnement

doit avoir lieu exclusivement à POMPE AMORCÉE. La roue,

solidaire à l’arbre et au moteur monté en prise directe, au mo-

yen d’un joint élastique de transmission, est mise en rotation

à une vitesse préétablie (max. 3 000 tours/min) en créant, par

effet centrifuge, une aspiration sur la conduite centrale et un

refoulement sur la conduite périphérique.

Usages impropres :

ATTENTION : tout usage de la pompe centrifuge

verticale IM autre que celui susmentionné est

considéré comme impropre et, par conséquent,

interdit par le fabricant.

Notamment, il EST INTERDIT d’utiliser la pompe IM pour :

- le pompage de l’essence et/ou de liquides inammables et/

ou dans des zones à atmosphère explosive ;

- l’emploi dans le sens de rotation inverse par rapport à celui

établi :

- l’emploi auto-amorçant ;

- l’emploi avec l’aspiration en présence de tourbillons, turbu-

lences ou bulles d’air ;

- l’emploi à vide (en absence ou insufsance de uide) ;

- l’emploi immergé au-delà du niveau maximal indiqué ;

- l’utilisation avec la pompe non bridée et/ou pour des transva-

sements volants ;

- l’emploi avec la bouche d’aspiration obstruée ou trop près

du fond de la cuve ;

- l’emploi avec l’axe incliné et non parfaitement vertical ;

- l’emploi de la pompe en absence des interventions d’entretien

prévus ;

- l’emploi avec des liquides à pomper incompatibles chimique-

ment avec des matériaux de construction ;

- l’emploi avec des eaux particulièrement dures ou très sales ;

- avec des températures et caractéristiques du produit non

conformes aux caractéristiques de la pompe.

ATTENTION : étant donnée la grande variété de

produits et de compositions chimiques, l’utilisateur

doit connaître toutes les réactions et compatibi-

lités avec les matériaux de construction de la pompe. Par

conséquent, effectuer scrupuleusement avant l’emploi

toutes les vérications et les essais nécessaires pour

éviter des situations dangereuses, même si lointaines, qui

ne peuvent pas être connues et attribuées au fabricant.

ATTENTION : toute utilisation de la pompe non con-

forme aux instructions indiquées dans le manuel

d’utilisation et d’entretien annule les conditions de

sécurité. Les risques liés à l’utilisation de la pompe ont été

analysés selon les conditions précises indiquées dans le

manuel d’utilisation et d’entretien : l’analyse des risques

liés au contact avec d’autres composants de l’installation

est demandée à l’installateur.

Working principles

IM vertical, centrifugal pumps must be installed using xed

brackets in a tank with appropriate procedures to avoid

vortex formation and consequent air bubble suction. The

pump must ONLY operate when FLOODED.

The impeller - integrally joined to the shaft and to the direct

drive motor, using an elastic transmission joint, at a pre-set

speed (max 3.000 revs/min); its centrifugal effect activates

a suction in the main duct and a delivery in the peripheral

duct.

Improper use

WARNING: any use of IM vertical, centrifugal pum-

ps other than that detailed above is improper and

forbidden by the Manufacturer.

It is SPECIFICALLY forbidden to use IM pumps:

- for pumping petrol and/or ammable liquids and/or in an

explosive environment;

- with an opposite rotation to the one specied;

- in self-priming working conditions;

- for suction in the presence of vortex, turbulence or air bubbles;

- for vacuum service (without, or with insufcient, uid)

- when immersed in excess of the maximum level

indicated;

- if not xed by brackets and/or for mobile transfers;

- if the suction inlet is obstructed or too close to the bottom

of the tank;

- if the axis is inclined or not perfectly level;

- if the maintenance operations foreseen have not been

carried out;

- with liquids that are chemically incompatible with the manu-

facturing materials;

- with water that is very hard or contains deposits

- with product temperatures and characteristics that are not

compatible with the characteristics of the pump.

WARNING: due to the wide variety of products and

chemical compositions, the operator is considered

to be the best evaluator of compatibility and reac-

tions with the pump manufacturing materials. Therefore,

before use, carry out all necessary checks and tests to

avoid any possible hazardous situation, that cannot be pre-

dicted or for which the manufacturer cannot be held liable.

WARNING: any use of the pump, apart from that

indicated in the use and maintenance manual, ren-

ders all safety procedures ineffective. The hazards

associated with use of the pump in the correct conditions

as described in the use and maintenance manual, have

been studied; the assessment of hazards associated with

the interaction with other plant components is assigned

to the installation operator.
