VORWORT

Die Vertikalkreiselpumpen IM wurden in Übereinstimmung mit

der Maschinenrichtlinie 2006/42/EG hergestellt. Daher stellen

sie keine Gefahren für den Bediener, wenn sie nach den An-

weisungen dieses Handbuchs verwendet werden.

Das Handbuch muss für zukünftiges Nachschlagen des War-

tungspersonals in gutem Zustand und/oder in der Nähe der

Maschine aufbewahrt werden.

Der Hersteller lehnt jede Haftung für Änderungen, Manipu-

lationen, falsche Anwendungen oder Arbeiten, die den Inhalt

dieses Handbuchs nicht einhalten und die Schäden an der

Gesundheit und Sicherheit von Personen, Tieren und Gegen-

ständen in der Nähe der Pumpe verursachen können, ab.

FOREWORD

The IM vertical, centrifugal pumps have been manufactured

in accordance with the 2006/42/CE. Therefore, when used

according to the instructions contained in this manual, the IM

pumps will not pose any risk to the operator.

This manual must be kept in good conditions and/or be kept

with the machine as a reference. The manufacturer declines any

liability concerning any changes, tampering, incorrect use or op-

eration not complying with the contents of this manual that may

constitute a health and safety hazard to people, animals or

property nearby the pump. The Manufacturer trusts you will take

full advantage of the performance offered by IM vertical pumps.

All technical parameters refer to the standard IM models (please

see “TECHNICAL FEATURES”). However, constant search for

innovation and technological quality may change the features

herein detailed without prior notice.

All drawings and all the documentation supplied with the pump

are property of the Manufacturer, who reserves itself all rights

and FORBIDS distribution to third parties without his authori-

zation in writing.

Das vorliegende Handbuch ist integraler Bestandteil der Pumpe

und stellt eine SICHERHEITSEINRICHTUNG. Es enthält wich-

tige Informationen, die dem Käufer und seinen Mitarbeitern hel-

fen, die Pumpe bei der Installation, Verwendung und Wartung

ihrer gesamten Lebensdauer in guten Zustand zu bewahren.

Zu Beginn jedes Kapitels und jedes Abschnitts wurde ein In-

formationsfeld eingefügt, das dem für die Eingriffe geschultem

Personal durch Symbole die obligatorische persönliche Schut-

zausrüstung und/oder den Energiestatus der Pumpe anzeigt.

Jedes Restrisiko, das während des Vorgangs auftreten kann,

wird durch entsprechende Symbole, die im Text integriert sind,

angezeigt.

Spezielle Symbole werden auch verwendet, um besondere

Informationen oder Ratschläge bezüglich der Sicherheit und

INTRODUCTION

This manual is an integral part of the pump, and represents

a SAFETY DEVICE. It contains important information that

will assist the purchaser and his personnel in installing, us-

ing and maintaining the pump in safe and in good conditions

during its life.

At the beginning of each chapter and section there is a status

bar: its symbols state the personnel qualied for the operation/

s in question, the compulsory individual protective devices to

wear and/or the power state of the pump. Any other hazard that

may occur during operations is highlighted by special symbols

embedded in the text.

Special identication symbols are used to highlight and differ-

entiate particular information or suggestions concerning safety

and correct use of the pump.

BESCHREIBUNG DER PUMPE

Verwendungszweck

Die Vertikalkreiselpumpen aus Kunstharz im wurden für das

Pumpen von Flüssigkeiten aus chemisch mit den Baumate-

rialien der Pumpe kompatiblen Materialen in Wannen mit ei-

ner scheinbaren Viskosität von 1 bis 500 cps entworfen und

gebaut.

Der Betrieb der Pumpe ist bei Betriebstemperaturen der Flüs-

sigkeiten von +3°C bis zu maximal 95°C zulässig; je nach Art

der Materialzusammensetzung der Pumpe (siehe TECHNI-

SCHE CHARAKTERISTIKA S. 9) ist es notwendig, auf der

Anlage eine Schutzvorrichtung zu installieren, die den Betrieb

und/oder das Erreichen der Schwellentemperatur verhindert.

Die Kreiselpumpen IM sind für einen Betrieb bis zu einem Ma-

ximum von

3000 Drehung/Minute vorgesehen, mit Direktantriebsmotoren

durch elastisches Kraftübertragungsgelenk mit den folgenden

technischen Konstruktionsmerkmalen:

DREIPHASIGER ASYNCHRONMOTOR 2 POLE

- Eurospannung;

- S1 –Status (Dauerbetrieb)

- Isolationsklasse F

- Schutzgrad IP 55

ACHTUNG: dort, wo der Variationsbereich der

Umgebungstemperatur und der Prozesstempera-

turen des Fluids in der Nähe der maximalen Werte

der Pumpe liegen, (siehe TECHNISCHE CHARAKTERIS-

TIKA S. 9) ist es je nach Baumaterial erforderlich, an der

Anlage eine Schutzvorrichtung zu installieren, die den

Betrieb und/oder das Erreichen des Schwellenwerts der

Temperatur verhindert.

PUMP DESCRIPTION

Proposed use

IM resin-made, vertical, centrifugal pumps have been designed

and manufactured to pump below head liquids having an ap-

parent viscosity between 1 and 500cps, and that are chemically

compatible with the pump manufacturing materials.

The pump is designed to operated with a uid working tempera-

ture of between +3°C and 95°C, in accordance with the type

of manufacturing material of the pump in question (pls refer to

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS pg. 9).

IM centrifugal pumps are designed for a max working speed of

3000 revs/min., with direct drive motors assembled with having

the following technicalmanufacturing characteristics:

THREE-PHASE/2 POLES ASYNCHRONOUS MOTOR

- Euro tension;

- S1 status (continuous operation)

- Class F insulation;

- IP 55 protection rating.

WARNING: Whenever the variation range of the

ambient temperature as well as of the uid process

temperature approaches the max pump tempera-

tures, in accordance with the pump manufacturing material

(pls refer to TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS, pg 9), it is

necessary to safeguard the plant installing a protection

device stopping the pump and/or

debem.it

Funktionsprinzip

Die Vertikalkreiselpumpe IM muss ordnungsgemäß durch Ein-

tauchen in die Wanne mit geeigneten Vorrichtungen, installiert

werden, um die Bildung von Wirbeln und das folgende Ansau-

gen von Luftblasen zu vermeiden. Sie darf ausschließlich bei

GETAUCHTER PUMPE betrieben werden. Das Laufrad, das

fest mit der Pumpenwelle und dem Direktantriebmotor verbun-

den ist, wird über ein elastisches Kraftübertragungsgelenk zu

einer voreingestellten Geschwindigkeit (max. 3.000 Drehungen/

Minute) betrieben; dadurch wird durch die Zentrifugalkraft ein

Ansaugen auf der Hauptleitung erzeugt und eine Abgabe auf

der Nebenleitung.

Unsachgemäße Verwendung

ACHTUNG: jede Verwendung der Vertikalkreisel-

pumpe IM für anderweitige als die zuvor beschrie-

benen Nutzungen wird als unsachgemäße Verwen-

dung betrachtet und ist daher vom Hersteller verboten.

Insbesondere IST die Verwendung der Pumpe IM für Folgendes

VERBOTEN:

- das Pumpen von Benzin und/oder brennbaren Flüssigkeiten

und/oder in explosiven Umgebungen;

- der Betrieb in einer anderen Drehrichtung als die festgelegte;

- der selbstansaugende Betrieb;

- der Betrieb mit Ansaugen im Beisein von Wirbeln, Turbulenzen

oder Luftblasen;

- der Vakuumbetrieb (ohne oder mit zu wenig Fluid);

- der Betrieb bei über dem angegebenen Höchstmass einge-

tauchter Pumpe;

- die Verwendung der nicht befestigten Pumpe und/oder für

mobile Transfers;

- der Betrieb mit verstopfter Saugmündung oder der Saugmün-

dung zu nahe am Wannenboden;

- der Betrieb mit geneigter und nicht perfekt senkrechter Achse;

- der Betrieb der Pumpe ohne Ausführung der vorgesehenen

Wartungsarbeiten;

- die Verwendung mit zu pumpenden Flüssigkeiten, die che-

misch nicht mit den Baumaterialien kompatibel sind;

- die Verwendung mit besonders hartem Wasser und Wasser

mit vielen Ablagerungen;

- die Verwendung bei Temperaturen und Charakteristika des

Produkts, die nicht mit den Charakteristika der Pumpe über-

einstimmen.

ACHTUNG: aufgrund der unendlichen Vielfalt von

Produkten und chemischen Zusammensetzungen

wird der Benutzer gehalten, über beste Kenntnisse

der Reaktionen und Kompatibilität mit den Baumaterialien

der Pumpe zu verfügen. Daher müssen vor der Anwendung

fachmännisch alle notwendigen Inspektionen und Tests

ausgeführt werden, um auch die geringsten Risiken zu

vermeiden, die der Hersteller nicht voraussehen und für

die er nicht verantwortlich gemacht werden kann.

ACHTUNG: jede Verwendung der Pumpe entgegen

den im Bedienungshandbuch und in der Wartungs-

anleitung beschriebenen Anweisungen führt zum

Erlöschen der Sicherheitsanforderungen. Es wurden die

Risiken in Zusammenhang mit der Verwendung der Pumpe

unter den spezischen im Bedienungshandbuch und in

der Wartungsanleitung beschriebenen Bedingungen ana-

lysiert: die Analyse der Risiken in Zusammenhang mit der

Wechselwirkung mit anderen Komponenten des Systems

ist dem Installateur zugewiesen.

Working principles

IM vertical, centrifugal pumps must be installed using xed

brackets in a tank with appropriate procedures to avoid

vortex formation and consequent air bubble suction. The

pump must ONLY operate when FLOODED.

The impeller - integrally joined to the shaft and to the direct

drive motor, using an elastic transmission joint, at a pre-set

speed (max 3.000 revs/min); its centrifugal effect activates

a suction in the main duct and a delivery in the peripheral

duct.

Improper use

WARNING: any use of IM vertical, centrifugal pum-

ps other than that detailed above is improper and

forbidden by the Manufacturer.

It is SPECIFICALLY forbidden to use IM pumps:

- for pumping petrol and/or ammable liquids and/or in an

explosive environment;

- with an opposite rotation to the one specied;

- in self-priming working conditions;

- for suction in the presence of vortex, turbulence or air bubbles;

- for vacuum service (without, or with insufcient, uid)

- when immersed in excess of the maximum level

indicated;

- if not xed by brackets and/or for mobile transfers;

- if the suction inlet is obstructed or too close to the bottom

of the tank;

- if the axis is inclined or not perfectly level;

- if the maintenance operations foreseen have not been

carried out;

- with liquids that are chemically incompatible with the manu-

facturing materials;

- with water that is very hard or contains deposits

- with product temperatures and characteristics that are not

compatible with the characteristics of the pump.

WARNING: due to the wide variety of products and

chemical compositions, the operator is considered

to be the best evaluator of compatibility and reac-

tions with the pump manufacturing materials. Therefore,

before use, carry out all necessary checks and tests to

avoid any possible hazardous situation, that cannot be pre-

dicted or for which the manufacturer cannot be held liable.

WARNING: any use of the pump, apart from that

indicated in the use and maintenance manual, ren-

ders all safety procedures ineffective. The hazards

associated with use of the pump in the correct conditions

as described in the use and maintenance manual, have

been studied; the assessment of hazards associated with

the interaction with other plant components is assigned

to the installation operator.
