1. Allgemeine Hinweise
Ohne Genehmigungen des Herstellers dürfen keine Veränderungen, An- oder Umbauten am Produkt
vorgenommen werden. Für Veränderungen ohne Genehmigung des Herstellers wird keine Haftung übernommen
und die Gewährleistung erlischt.
Die nationalen Vorschriften und Sicherheitsbestimmungen sind zu beachten.
2. Sicherheitshinweise
Vor der Benutzung ist das Produkt auf seine einwandfreie Funktion zu überprüfen. Bei auftretenden Mängeln darf
es nicht eingesetzt werden!
Es ist die BGV D8 (Winden, Hub- und Zuggeräte) und die BGR 500 (Lastaufnahmeeinrichtungen im
Hebezeugbetrieb) zu beachten!
Nicht unter schwebende Lasten treten!
Nur für den vorgesehenen Einsatz / Gebrauch einsetzen!
Die Last darf nicht im angehobenen Zustand belassen werden.
Die angegebene Tragfähigkeit darf nicht überschritten werden!
3. Einsatz und Verwendungszweck
Die Fasswendezangen FW-K und FW-N sind Geräte zum Transport, Wenden und Kippen von
Stahl-Sickenfässern mit einem Durchmesser von 585 – 600 mm.
4. Aufbau und Inbetriebnahme
Zur Inbetriebnahme wird die Fasswendezange durch die Kranöse an einem Hebezeug eingehakt und angehoben.
Es dürfen nur geeignete Hebezeuge verwendet werden. Bei Verwendung eines Gabelstaplers ist der
Lastschwerpunkt zu ermitteln und anhand des Belastungsdiagramms des Staplers sicherzustellen, dass die Last
sicher aufgenommen werden kann.

6. Betrieb
Bitte beachten Sie die folgenden Hinweise zum sicheren Arbeiten mit der Fasswendezange.
•Die Fasswendezange darf nur von unterwiesenen Personen bedient werden.
•Vor Inbetriebnahme müssen der ordnungsgemäße Zustand und die Funktionstüchtigkeit der
Fasswendezange überprüft werden, insbesondere ist darauf zu achten, dass die Innenfläche des Gürtels
nicht verschmutzt ist.
•Die zu transportierenden Fässer müssen trocken, öl- und fettfrei sein
•Wir empfehlen beim Bedienen des Fasswenders Handschuhe und Sicherheitsschuhe zu tragen.
Aufnehmen
Bevor die Fasswendezange ein Fass aufnehmen kann muss der Fassgürtel mit Gummibelägen (1) in aufrechte
Position gedreht werden.
Fahren Sie das Fass an, die Position des Gürtels muss dabei zwischen den Mittelsicken sein.
Umschließen Sie das Fass mit der Klemmvorrichtung und hängen die Verschlusskette (2) am Schließbolzen (3)
ein. Anschließend spannen Sie die Kette, indem Sie den Schließhebel soweit wie möglich entgegen dem
Uhrzeigersinn bewegen. Wenn Sie den Hebel in Richtung Fass drücken, arretieren Sie den Verschluss.

Verfahren
Heben Sie das Fass mit dem Hebezeug leicht an und verfahren es langsam.
Fässer dürfen nur in vertikaler Position verfahren werden.
Entleeren
Zum Entleeren muss das Fass mindestens soweit angehoben werden, dass es sich ohne Probleme schwenken
lässt.
Typ FW-K:
Durch Ziehen an der Kette (4) kann das Fass langsam in eine horizontale Position gedreht und dann entleert
werden. Die Kette kann in jeder Fassstellung arretiert werden, um das Fass während des Transports oder
Entleerens zu sichern.
Ist der Entleerungs-Vorgang abgeschlossen, muss das Fass wieder in aufrechte Position zurückgeschwenkt
werden.
Typ FW-N:
Lösen Sie die Fixierungsstifte (5) die sich rechts und links am Drehpunkt befinden, durch Ziehen nach außen
aus ihrer Verankerung. Das Fass kann nun gedreht werden. Wenn sich das Fass in horizontaler Position
befindet, kann es an einem weiteren Rastpunkt fixiert werden und Sie können es entleeren.
Ist der Entleerungs-Vorgang abgeschlossen, muss das Fass wieder in aufrechte Position zurückgeschwenkt
werden.
Das Fass kann nur in horizontaler oder aufrechter Position arretiert werden!
Vorsicht vor unkontrollierten Dreh- und Schwingbewegungen des Fasses
Abladen
Zum Abladen muss das Fass nach dem Absenken manuell entriegelt werden. Dazu muss der Schließhebel
gezogen und im Uhrzeigersinn bewegt werden. Die Spannung der Verschlusskette lässt nach. Anschließend kann
die Sperrklinke gelöst und die Kette ausgehängt werden.
7. Wartung und Instandhaltung
Um ein sicheresArbeiten mit dem Produkt zu gewährleisten sind folgende Kontrollen erforderlich:
-Regelmäßige Kontrolle auf Leichtgängigkeit der beweglichen Teile und gegebenenfalls Nachschmieren

mit handelsüblichem Fett.
-Regelmäßige Sicht- und Funktionskontrollen in Abständen von max. einem Jahr durch einen Sachkundigen.
Bei Feststellung folgender Schäden an den Ketten darf die Fasshebeklammer nicht mehr eingesetzt
werden:
a) Längung um mehr als 5 % bei Kette oder Einzelglied
b) Abnahme der Glieddicke (Nenndicke) an irgendeiner Stelle um mehr als 10 %
c) Bruch eines Kettengliedes
d) Anrisse in einem Kettenglied
e) Verformung eines Kettengliedes
Bei Feststellung folgender Schäden am Gurt darf die Fasshebeklammer nicht mehr eingesetzt werden:
a) Garnbrüche bzw. Garneinschnitte im Gewebe von mehr als 10 % des Gesamtquerschnittes
b) Beschädigung der tragenden Nähte,
c) Verformung durch Wärmeeinfluss, z. B. durch Strahlung, Reibung, Berührung,
d) Einfluss aggressiver Stoffe, wie Säuren, Laugen, Lösemittel.
Wird eine Verformung des Bügels zwischen Kette und Gurt festgestellt, darf die Fasshebeklammer
nicht mehr eingesetzt werden.
Nach Schadensfällen und besonderen Vorkommnissen, die die Tragfähigkeit beeinflussen können,
sowie nach Instandsetzung ist eine außerordentliche Prüfung durch einen Sachkundigen
durchzuführen

1. General Instructions
No modifications or alterations can be made to the product without authorisation from the manufacturer, in the
event of this, the guarantee will be invalidated.
National standards and safety regulations must be observed.
2. Safety instructions
Before the product is used, it is to be checked for correct functioning. Should any defects appear, it must not be
used!
Do not walk under suspended loads!
Only use for the intended purpose!
The load must not be left in raised position.
The bearing capacity given must not be exceeded!
3. Use and intended purpose
The drum rotating tongs FW-K and FW-N are devices for transporting, rotating and tipping steel drums with a
diameter of 585-600 mm.
4. Assembly
For putting into operation the drum rotating tongs are hooked through the crane eye on a lifting device and lifted.
Only suitable lifting devices must be used. When using a forklift truck, the centre of gravity of the load is to be
determined and to be secured by means of the loading diagram of the forklift truck so that the load can be lifted
safely.
5. Specifications

6. Operation
Please observe the following instructions for working safely with the drum rotating tongs:
•The drum rotating tongs must only be used by trained persons.
•Before putting it into service, it is necessary to check the correct state and functional fitness of the drum
rotating tongs and particularly see to it that the inside of the belt is not dirty.
•The drums to be transported must be dry, oil- and grease-free.
•When operating the drum rotating tongs we recommend wearing gloves and safety shoes.
Loading
Before the drum rotating tongs can pick up a drum the rubber-coated drum belt (1) must be turned to the upright
position.Move up to the drum, the position of the belt must be between the central grooves.
Place the clamping device round the drum and hang the locking chain (2) on the fastening bolt (3). Then tighten
the chain by moving the locking lever as far as possible anticlockwise. When you press the lever in the direction of
the drum, fasten the catch.

Moving
Lift the drum with the lifting device slightly and move it slowly.
Drums must only be moved in a vertical position.
Emptying
For emptying, the drum must be raised at least high enough so that it can be rotated freely.
Type FW-K:
By pulling on the chain (4) the drum can be slowly turned into a horizontal position and then emptied. The
chain can be locked in any drum position to secure the drum during transport or emptying.
When the emptying procedure is finished the drum must be rotated back into the vertical position again.
Type FW-N:
Release the fixing rods (5) that are to be found on the right and left of the pivot point by pulling them outwards
out of the anchoring. The drum can now be turned. If the drum is in the horizontal position it can be fixed on
another resting point and you can empty it.
When the emptying procedure is finished the drum must be rotated back into the vertical position again.
The drum can only be locked in the horizontal or upright position!
Watch out for uncontrolled turning and swinging movements of the drum
Unloading
For unloading the drum must be manually unlocked after lowering. For this the locking lever must be pulled and
moved clockwise. The tension in the locking chain relaxes. Then the locking device can be released and the chain
unhooked.
7. Maintenance and servicing
To guarantee safe working with the product the following checks are necessary:
-Regularly check for ease of movement of the moving parts and if necessary lubrication with
commercially-available grease.
-Regular sight and function checks at intervals of max. one year by a qualified person.

If the following damage is established on the chains stop using the product:
a) elongation by more than 5% on the chain or a single link
b) reduction of link thickness (rated thickness) at any place by more than 10%
c) breakage of a chain link
d) fissures on a chain link
e) deformation of a chain link
If the following damage is established on the chains the drum lifting grippers must no longer be used:
a) Yarn breaks or cuts in the fabric.
b) Damage to the bearing seam
c) Deformation due to heat exposure, e.g. due to radiation, friction, contact
d) Exposure to aggressive materials such as acids, alkalis and solvents.
If it is noticed that bracket between the chain and belt is deformed, the drum lifting grippers must no
longer be used:
After cases of damage and particular incidents that could influence the carrying capacity and after repair an
extraordinary testing by a qualified person is to be carried out.
