The information in this document affects your safety and your legal
rights and responsibilities. Read this entire document carefully to
ensure proper conguration before use. Failure to read and follow
instructions and warnings in this document may result in serious injury
to yourself or others, damage to your DJI OSMO product, or damage
to other objects in the vicinity. This document and all other collateral
documents are subject to change at the sole discretion of DJI OSMO.

By using this product, you hereby signify that you have read this
disclaimer and warning carefully and that you understand and agree
to abide by the terms and conditions herein. You agree that you are
solely responsible for your own conduct while using this product, and

rules, and regulations, and all terms, precautions, practices, policies

Glossary
The following terms are used throughout the product literature to indicate
various levels of potential harm when operating this product:
WARNING: Failure to properly follow procedures may result in
property damage, collateral damage, and serious or supercial injury.
CAUTION: Failure to properly follow procedures may result in
property damage and serious injury.
NOTICE: Failure to properly follow procedures may result in
property damage, a small possiblity of injury, or no possibility of injury.
Read the user manual to become
familiar with the features of this
product before operating. Failure
to operate the product correctly can result in damage to the
product, personal property, and cause serious injury.
This product must be operated with caution and common sense
and requires some basic mechanical ability. Failure to operate
this product in a safe and responsible manner could result in
injury or damage to the product or other property.
This product is not intended for use by children without direct
adult supervision. DO NOT use with incompatible components
or alter this product in any way outside of the documents
provided by SZ DJI OSMO TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. These
Safety Guidelines contain instructions for safety, operation
and maintenance. It is essential to read and follow all of the
instructions and warnings in the user manual, prior to assembly,
setup or use, in order to operate the product correctly and avoid
damage or serious injury.
Before You Begin
The following documents have been produced to help you safely operate
and make full use of your Osmo Action:

Check the packaging to make sure that you have all parts included.
Osmo Action must be activated through the DJI Mimo app before using

for the rst time. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device to connect and
follow the on-screen instructions to activate Osmo Action.
Read the entire user manual and watch the tutorial videos on the product
page on the ofcial DJI website (http://www.dji.com/osmo-action). Read
the Disclaimer and Warnings section to understand your legal rights
and responsibilities. If you have any questions or problems during the
installation, maintenance, or use of this product, contact DJI OSMO or
a DJI OSMO authorized dealer.
Safety Guidelines
1. Clean the battery, lens, lens filter cap, and the USB-C cover with
a clean, dry cloth. Otherwise, Osmo Action may no longer be
waterproof. All the holes on Osmo Action have built-in waterproof
material. DO NOT poke the holes.
2. Follow the instructions in the user manual to make sure the battery is
mounted, the USB-C cover is closed, and the lens lter cap is properly
tightened. Make sure Osmo Action is dry before removing the battery.
3. If the battery falls into water, put it in a safe and open area immediately.
Maintain a safe distance from the battery until it is completely dry. DO
NOT use the battery again, and properly dispose of the battery as
described in point 28.
4. Put out a battery re using water, sand, a re blanket, or a dry powder
re extinguisher.
5. DO NOT use a non-DJI OSMO battery. DJI OSMO takes no
responsibility for any damage caused by a non-DJI OSMO battery.
Purchase a new battery at www.dji.com.
6. DO NOT use or charge swollen, leaky, or damaged battery. If your
battery is abnormal, contact DJI OSMO or a DJI OSMO authorized
dealer for further assistance.
7. The battery should be used in a temperature range from 14° to
104° F (-10° to 40° C). Use of the battery in an environment above
104° F (40° C) can lead to a re or explosion. Use of the battery below
14° F (-10° C) can lead to permanent damage.
8. DO NOT use the battery in a strong electrostatic or electromagnetic
environment. Otherwise, the circuit board may malfunction.
9. DO NOT disassemble or pierce the battery in any way. Otherwise, the
battery may leak, catch re, or explode.
10. DO NOT drop or strike the battery. DO NOT place heavy objects on
the battery or charger.

11. Electrolytes in the battery are highly corrosive. If any electrolytes
make contact with your skin or eyes, immediately wash the affected
area with fresh running water for at least 15 minutes, and then see
a doctor immediately.
12. DO NOT use the battery if it is dropped or impacted in any way.
13. DO NOT heat the battery. DO NOT use a hairdryer to dry the battery
or put the battery in a microwave oven or a pressurized container.
14. DO NOT place loose battery cells on any conductive surface, such as
a metal table.
15. DO NOT manually short-circuit the battery.
16. DO NOT attach the battery to a power outlet or car charger socket
directly. The battery must be charged through Osmo Action or the
Osmo Action Charging Hub. DJI OSMO takes no responsibility if the
battery is charged using a non-DJI OSMO charger.
17. DO NOT charge the battery near flammable materials or on
flammable surfaces such as carpet or wood. DO NOT leave the
battery unattended during charging.
18. DO NOT charge the battery immediately after use, as the battery
temperature may be too high.
19. DO NOT charge the battery until it cools down to near room
temperature. Charging the battery outside of the temperature range of
41° to 104° F (5 to 40° C) may lead to leakage, overheating, or battery
damage.
20. Disconnect the charger when not in use. Examine the charger
regularly for damage to the cord, plug, and other parts of the charger.
DO NOT clean the charger with denatured alcohol or other ammable
solvents. DO NOT use a damaged charger.
21. Keep the battery out of the reach of children and animals.
22. DO NOT leave the battery near heat sources such as a furnace or
heater. DO NOT leave the battery inside of a vehicle on hot days. DO
NOT store the battery in an environment with a temperature higher
than 140° F (60° C). The ideal storage temperature range is 71.6° to
82.4° F (22° to 28° C).
23. Store the battery in a ventilated location and keep the battery dry.
24. DO NOT store a fully discharged battery for an extended period.
Otherwise, it will over discharge, which will lead to permanent
damage to the battery.
25. Before taking a battery on an airline ight, fully discharge the battery.
Make sure to discharge the battery in a reproof location.
26. Keep the battery away from metal objects such as glasses, watches,
jewelry, and hairpins.
27. DO NOT transport a damaged battery or a battery with a power level

higher than 50%.
28. Only dispose of a battery after completely discharging it. DO NOT
dispose of a battery in a regular trash container. Strictly follow your
local regulations regarding the disposal and recycling of the battery.
1. Intricate components inside Osmo Action may be damaged upon
impact and cause the camera to malfunction.
2. Only use a soft dry cloth to clean Osmo Action. DO NOT use any liquid
cleansers or liquid containing alcohol. DO NOT clean the inside of the
lens lter cap with liquid. Make sure the lens and lens lter cap are
dry and clean. Sand and dust may damage the lens and water may
negatively affect the performance.
3. Keep Osmo Action away from sand and dust. Wash the camera if
the holes on Osmo Action are blocked by sand, dust, or any other
substance. Make sure all covers and compartments are closed before
washing Osmo Action.
4. Some small parts of Osmo Action are a choking hazard. Keep out of
reach of children and animals.
5. DO NOT cover or touch the ventilation area or the lens lter cap of
Osmo Action as it may become hot during use.
6. The lens and lens lter cap consist of glass. Make sure to be careful if
either break.
7. The edges of the battery are sharp. Make sure to be careful when
handling.
8. DO NOT poke the USB-C port or microSD card slot.
9. DO NOT expose Osmo Action or the battery to extreme cold or hot
temperature. Otherwise, the operating time and functionality may be
negatively affected.
10. DO NOT use Osmo Action during lightning storms.
11. DO NOT disassemble or repair Osmo Action by yourself.
1. The battery is designed to stop charging when it is fully charged. It
is a good practice, however, to monitor the charging progress and
disconnect the battery when it is fully charged.
2. Discharge the battery to 40-65% if it will not be used for 10 days or
more. This can greatly extend the battery life.
3. The battery will enter hibernation mode if depleted and stored for an
extended period. Recharge the battery to bring it out of hibernation.
4. Remove the battery from Osmo Action when it is stored for an

extended period.
5. DO NOT over-discharge the battery, as this may lead to battery cell
damage.
6. The battery life may be reduced if it is not used for an extended period.
7. Discharge and charge the battery completely once every three months
to keep it in good condition.
