2.1 Gerät aufladen

3Bluetooth® Verbindung
3.1 TOPROCK BT 20 mit mobilem Endgerät
koppeln
Um Musik auf den TOPROCK BT 20 zu über
tragen, muss ein mobiles Endgerät via
Bluetooth® mit dem TOPROCK BT 20 gekoppelt
werden.
Erste Kopplung mit einem mobilen Endgerät
► Ein/Aus-Taste [1-8] mehr als eine Sekunde
drücken, bis die LED der
Bluetooth® Taste [1-7] blau blinkt.
Das Gerät ist jetzt via Bluetooth® für mobile
Endgeräte sichtbar.
► Bluetooth® auf mobilem Endgerät akti
vieren.
► Bluetooth® Geräteliste anzeigen lassen und
unter den erkannten Geräten <TOPROCK>
auswählen, um die gesicherte Verbindung
zu autorisieren.
Bei einigen mobilen Endgeräten, die mit
älteren Versionen als BT2.1 Bluetooth®
Standard ausgestattet sind, muss eventuell
ein Passwort ("0000") eingegeben werden.
Ist die Verbingung hergestellt, ertönt ein kurzer
Signalton und die LED der
Bluetooth® Taste [1-7] leuchtet dauerhaft blau.
– Sobald der TOPROCK BT 20 via Bluetooth®
mit einem mobilen Endgerät verbunden
wurde, erscheint er nicht mehr in der
Bluetooth® Geräteliste von anderen
mobilen Endgeräten.
– Befindet sich das mobile Endgerät außer
halb der Reichweite des TOPROCK BT 20,
wird die Bluetooth® Verbindung zeitweise

unterbrochen. Sobald sich das mobile
Endgerät wieder in Reichweite befindet,
wird die Bluetooth® Verbindung automa
tisch wieder hergestellt. Während dieser
Unterbrechung kann sich kein anderes
mobiles Endgerät mit dem TOPROCK BT 20
verbinden.
– Falls der TOPROCK BT 20 zwar in der
Bluetooth® Geräteliste erscheint, eine
Verbindung aber nicht möglich ist, muss er
aus der Bluetooth® Geräteliste gelöscht
werden. Anschließend den TOPROCK BT 20
erneut via Bluetooth® koppeln.
– Die effektive Betriebsreichweite zwischen
den gekoppelten Geräten beträgt bis zu
50 m (164.04 ft). Jedes Hindernis zwischen
den Geräten kann die Betriebsreichweite
verringern.
– Die Leistung der Bluetooth® Verbindung
kann je nach gekoppeltem mobilen
Endgerät variieren. Vor der Kopplung mit
dem TOPROCK BT 20 immer die
Bluetooth® Funktion des mobilen Endge
räts überprüfen.
Bereits gekoppelte Geräte erkennen
Sobald der TOPROCK BT 20 einmal mit einem
mobilen Endgerät gekoppelt wurde, wird dieses
im TOPROCK BT 20 gespeichert und automa
tisch erkannt. Der TOPROCK BT 20 versucht
sich immer automatisch mit dem zuletzt gekop
pelten Gerät zu verbinden. Er kann bis zu acht
gekoppelte Geräte speichern. Wird diese Anzahl
überschritten, wird das früheste gekoppelte
Gerät überschrieben und anschließend nicht
mehr automatisch erkannt. Wenn das zuletzt
gekoppelte Gerät nicht mehr verfügbar ist,
versucht der TOPROCK BT 20 eine Verbindung
mit dem vorletzten Gerät herzustellen und so
weiter.
Speicher löschen
► Gerät einschalten.
► Bluetooth® Taste [1-7] länger als sieben
Sekunden gedrückt halten.
Ein kurzer Signalton ertönt und alle bisher im
TOPROCK BT 20 gespeicherten Geräte sind
gelöscht.
► Gerät ausschalten.
3.2 Zwei TOPROCK BT 20 koppeln
Max. zwei TOPROCK BT 20 können mithilfe der
TWS-Funktion (TWS = true wireless stereo) via
Bluetooth® miteinander gekoppelt werden.
Musik kann somit über zwei Lautsprecher
wiedergegeben werden.
Der erste TOPROCK BT 20 muss mit einem
mobilen Endgerät verbunden sein.
► Falls noch nicht erfolgt TOPROCK BT 20 mit
einem mobilen Endgerät koppeln, siehe
Kapitel 3.1 .
► Bluetooth® Taste [1-7] zwei bis drei
Sekunden gedrückt halten, bis die LED der
Bluetooth® Taste [1-7] abwechselnd rot
und blau blinkt.
► Zweiten TOPROCK BT 20 einschalten.
► Beim zweiten TOPROCK BT 20 ebenfalls die
Bluetooth® Taste [1-7] ca. drei Sekunden
gedrückt halten, bis die LED der
Bluetooth® Taste [1-7] abwechselnd rot
und blau blinkt.
Nach einigen Sekunden sind beide TOPROCK
BT 20 erfolgreich verbunden. Es ertönen zwei
kurze Signaltöne und die LED der
Bluetooth® Taste [1-7] des ersten Geräts
leuchtet dauerhaft blau. Die LED der
Bluetooth® Taste [1-7] des zweiten Geräts
leuchtet dauerhaft lila.
Lautsprecher einrichten
Der TOPROCK BT 20 ist mit vier Lautsprechern
ausgestattet. Je zwei Lautsprecherpaare geben
einen Tonkanal wieder.
Sind zwei TOPROCK BT 20 miteinander
verbunden, kann zwischen folgenden drei
Wiedergabe-Optionen gewählt werden:
Option 1
TOPROCK 1 TOPROCK 2
Beide TOPROCK
BT 20 geben jeweils
den rechten und den
linken Tonkanal
wieder (Grundein
stellung).

► Bluetooth® Taste [1-7] an einem Gerät
wiederholt zwei bis drei Sekunden gedrückt
halten, um zwischen den drei Wiedergabe-
Optionen zu wechseln.
3.3 Verbindung trennen
► Bluetooth® Taste [1-7] drücken oder
Bluetooth® auf dem mobilen Endgerät
deaktivieren, um die Verbindung zu trennen.
LED der Bluetooth® Taste [1-7] beginnt blau zu
blinken und zeigt an, dass der TOPROCK BT 20
für eine neue Verbindung bereit ist.
4 Betrieb
4.1 Audio wiedergeben
► Mobiles Endgerät mit einem oder zwei
TOPROCK BT 20 koppeln, siehe Kapitel 3 .
► Audiowiedergabe über die Bedienelemente
des mobilen Endgeräts starten. Mithilfe der
Bedienelemente auf dem mobilen Endgerät
können Musiktitel abgespielt, unterbrochen
oder zwischen ihnen navigiert werden.
Bei zwei gekoppelten TOPROCK BT 20: Die
eingestellte Laustärke an einem TOPROCK
BT 20 wird auf das andere TOPROCK BT 20
übertragen.
– Je nach mobilem Endgerät bzw. Software
kann sich die Reaktion auf die Betätigung
der Bedienelemente unterscheiden.
– Einige mobile Endgeräte trennen die
Bluetooth® Verbindung zum TOPROCK
BT 20 vorübergehend, sobald Anrufe getä
tigt oder empfangen werden. Einige mobile
Endgeräte schalten auf stumm, wenn z.B.
Textnachrichten oder E-Mails eingehen.
Dieses Verhalten geht vom gekoppelten
mobilen Endgerät aus und zeigt keine
Störung des TOPROCK BT 20 an.
4.2 Lautstärke regeln
► Lautstärke mit den Lautstärketasten
minus [1-5] und plus [1-6] am TOPROCK
BT 20 oder im mobilen Endgerät einstellen.
Beim Betätigen der jeweiligen Lautstärketaste
blinkt die LED der Lautstärketaste weiß.
Blinken die weißen LEDs der beiden Lautstär
ketasten zweimal, ist jeweils die maximale oder
minimale Lautstärke erreicht.
4.3 Mobile Endgeräte über USB-
Buchse [1-2] laden
Zum Laden mobiler Endgeräte via USB-
Buchse [1-2] muss der TOPROCK BT 20 einge
schaltet sein. Die Ladezeit der Geräte kann
variieren und in einigen Fällen länger dauern
als mit dem mitgelieferten Ladegerät des
Herstellers.
– Die USB-Buchse ist nur zum Laden mobiler
Endgeräte und nicht zum Übertragen von
Daten auf den TOPROCK BT 20 geeignet.
– Die Ladefunktion des TOPROCK BT 20 wird
von manchen mobilen Endgeräten nicht
unterstützt.
– Das USB-Kabel nach dem Laden entfernen.
– Die USB-Buchse [1-2] kann nur Geräte mit
einer maximalen Eingangsspannung von
5V / 1A mit Strom versorgen. Die USB-
Buchse unterstützt keine externen Fest
platten und mobilen Endgeräte mit
höheren Anforderungen.
– Ein Aufladen des TOPROCK BT 20 über die
USB-Buchse [1-2] ist nicht möglich.
– Die USB-Buchse [1-2] nicht mit der USB-
Buchse eines PCs verbinden. Ansonsten
können beide Geräte ausfallen.
– Die USB-Buchse [1-2] nach Gebrauch mit
der Schutzkappe [1-4] verschließen, um
Verschmutzung oder Korrosion zu verhin
dern.
5 Fehlerbehebung
5.1 Gerät reagiert nicht
In seltenen Fällen kann ein Systemabsturz dazu
führen, dass keine Bedienung des Geräts mehr
möglich ist.
► Ein/Aus-Taste [1-8] ca. acht Sekunden
gedrückt halten bis sich das Gerät
ausschaltet.
Beim nächsten Start stellt sich das System
automatisch wieder her.
6 Allgemeine Hinweise
6.1 Informationen über Bluetooth®
Das Gerät kann über Bluetooth® mit einem
mobilen Endgerät verbunden werden. Sobald
das Gerät über Bluetooth® mit dem mobilen
Endgerät verbunden und die gesicherte Verbin

dung autorisiert wurde, verbindet sich ab
diesem Zeitpunkt das Gerät automatisch mit
dem mobilen Endgerät.
Die Wortmarke Bluetooth® und die Logos sind

2 Commissioning

2.1 Charging the device

► Only charge the device using the original
mains adapter supplied.
Fully charge the device before using it for the
first time.
► Connect the device with the mains
adapter [1-3].
► Insert the mains adapter into a mains
outlet.

3Bluetooth® connection
3.1 Pairing the TOPROCK BT 20 with mobile
devices
To play music via the TOPROCK BT 20, a mobile
device must be paired with the TOPROCK BT 20
via Bluetooth®.
Pairing with a mobile device for the first time
► Press the ON/OFF button [1-8] for more
than one second, until the LED on the
Bluetooth® button [1-7] starts to flash blue.
The device is now visible to mobile devices via
Bluetooth®.
► Enable Bluetooth® on the mobile device.
► Display the list of Bluetooth® devices and
select <TOPROCK> from the detected
devices to authorise the secure connection.
On a few mobile devices which have an
older version of the Bluetooth® standard
than BT2.1, a password must be entered
("0000").
Once the connection is established, a short
signal will sound and the LED on the
Bluetooth® button [1-7] lights up blue continu
ously.
– Once the TOPROCK BT 20 has been
connected to a mobile device via
Bluetooth®, it will no longer appear in the
list of Bluetooth® devices on other mobile
devices.
– If the mobile device is taken out of range of
the TOPROCK BT 20, the
Bluetooth® connection will be interrupted
temporarily. As soon as the mobile device

is brought back in range, the
Bluetooth® connection will be re-estab
lished automatically. During this interrup
tion, no other mobile device will be able to
connect to the TOPROCK BT 20.
– If the TOPROCK BT 20 does appear in the
list of Bluetooth® devices, a connection is
not actually possible, and it must be
deleted from the list of Bluetooth® devices.
The TOPROCK BT 20 will then have to be
paired via Bluetooth® once more.
– The effective operating range between the
paired devices is up to 50 m (164.04 ft). Any
obstructions between the devices may
reduce the range.
– The strength of the Bluetooth® connection
may vary depending on the paired mobile
device. Before pairing to the TOPROCK
BT 20, always check the Bluetooth® func
tion on the mobile device.
Detecting devices already paired
Once the TOPROCK BT 20 has been paired with
a mobile device once, this will be saved in the
TOPROCK BT 20 and automatically recognised.
The TOPROCK BT 20 will always try to connect
to the most recently paired device automati
cally. It can save up to eight paired devices. If
this number is exceeded, the least recently
paired device will be overwritten and will no
longer be automatically recognised. If the most
recently paired device is no longer available,
the TOPROCK BT 20 will try to connect to the
next most recent device and so on.
Clearing the memory
► Switch on the machine.
► Press and hold the Bluetooth® button [1-7]
for more than seven seconds.
A short signal sounds and all the devices previ
ously saved to the TOPROCK BT 20 are deleted.
► Switch off the device.
3.2 Pairing two TOPROCK BT 20 devices
A maximum of two TOPROCK BT 20 devices can
be connected up via Bluetooth® using the TWS
(true wireless stereo) function. Music can then
be played over two speakers.
The first TOPROCK BT 20 must be connected to
a mobile device.
► If not already paired, pair the TOPROCK
BT 20 with a mobile device; see section 3.1 .
► Press and hold the Bluetooth® button [1-7]
for two to three seconds until the LED on
the Bluetooth® button [1-7] flashes red and
blue alternately.
► Switch on the second TOPROCK BT 20.
► Also press and hold the
Bluetooth® button [1-7] on the second
TOPROCK BT 20 for approx. two seconds
until the LED on the Bluetooth® button [1-7]
flashes red and blue alternately.
After a few seconds, both TOPROCK BT 20
devices are successfully connected. Two short
signals sound and the LED on the
Bluetooth® button [1-7] on the first device
lights up blue continuously. The LED on the
Bluetooth® button [1-7] on the second device
lights up purple continuously.
Setting up the speakers
The TOPROCK BT 20 is equipped with four
speakers. Each of the two pairs of speakers
plays one audio channel.
If two TOPROCK BT 20 devices are connected
up, one of the following three playback options
can be selected:

► Press and hold the Bluetooth® button [1-7]
on a device for two to three seconds each
time you want to switch between the three
options.
3.3 Disconnecting
► Press the Bluetooth® button [1-7] or
disable Bluetooth® on the mobile device to
disconnect.
The LED on the Bluetooth® button [1-7] starts
to flash blue to signal that the TOPROCK BT 20
is ready to be reconnected.
4 Operation
4.1 Audio playback
► Pair the mobile device with one or two
TOPROCK BT 20 devices; see section 3 .
► Start audio playback via the controls on the
mobile device. The controls on the mobile
device can be used to play, stop or switch
between tracks.
With two TOPROCK BT 20 devices paired:
The volume set on one TOPROCK BT 20
device is adopted by the second TOPROCK
BT 20 device.
– The response when operating the controls
may differ depending on the mobile device
or software.
– Some mobile devices temporarily interrupt
the Bluetooth® connection to the TOPROCK
BT 20 if a call is being made or received.
Some mobile devices switch to mute if text
messages or e-mails are received. This
behaviour depends on the paired mobile
device and does not indicate a fault with the
TOPROCK BT 20.
4.2 Adjusting the volume
► Adjust the volume using the volume
decrease [1-5] and increase [1-6] buttons
on the TOPROCK BT 20 or using the mobile
device.
When you press one of the volume buttons, the
LED on this button flashes white. If the white
LEDs on both volume buttons flash twice, the
maximum or minimum volume level has been
reached.
4.3 Charging mobile devices using the USB
port [1-2]
To charge mobile devices via the USB
port [1-2], the TOPROCK BT 20 must be
switched on. The charging time for the device
may vary and, in some cases, may take longer
than with the charger supplied by the manufac
turer.
– The USB port is only suitable for charging
mobile devices and not for transferring
data to the TOPROCK BT 20.
– The charging function of the TOPROCK
BT 20 is not supported by some mobile
devices.
– Remove the USB cable after charging.
– The USB port [1-2] can only supply power
to devices with a maximum input voltage of
5 V/1 A. The USB port does not support any
external hard drives and mobile devices
with higher requirements.
– It is not possible to charge TOPROCK BT 20
devices via the USB port [1-2].
– Do not connect the USB port [1-2] to the
USB port on a PC. This could cause both
devices to fail.
– To prevent any contamination or corrosion,
cover the USB port [1-2] with the protective
cap [1-4] after use.
5 Troubleshooting
5.1 Unresponsive device
On rare occasions, a system crash may mean
that it is no longer possible to operate the
device.
► Press and hold the ON/OFF button [1-8] for
approx. eight seconds until the device
switches off.
When restarting, the system is be automatically
restored.
6 General information
6.1 Information about Bluetooth®
The tool can be connected to a mobile device via
Bluetooth®. As soon as the tool is connected to
the mobile device via Bluetooth® and the secure
connection has been authorised, the tool will
connect automatically to the mobile device from
this point onwards.
The Bluetooth® word mark and the logos are
registered trademarks of Bluetooth SIG, Inc.;
they are used by TTS Tooltechnic Systems AG &
Co. KG, and therefore by Festool, under licence.
