Power supply
FM4500 MOBI requires a maximum of 20watts @48Vdc can be powered using:
•Standard IEEE 802.3at switch through the LAN1/PoE 8-pins M12 port
•Active or Passive 48Vdc PoE (this configuration supports IEEE 802.3.at PoE) through the LAN1/POE 8-pins
M12 port
•48Vdc power supply (not included) through the DC-IN 5-pins M12 port
In order to secure proper grounding to the radio and to get reliable connectivity, it is strongly recommended to use
SHIELDED CAT5/6 cables and connectors.

HOW TO WIRE THE 8 PIN CONNECTORS AND CABLES – Service Lan and Gigabit PoE
All the FM4500 MOBI manufactured after September 2016 feature a M12 X-Coded
Gigabit Ethernet port.
Always use outdoor-rated shielded cables.

Antenna connection
The following example shows a Panel antenna.
Please follow carefully these instructions:
•Wire the QMA cable end on the 4500 and the N male or N female to a surge suppressor (if foreseen) then connect the
surge suppressor to the antenna (N-male or N-female cable).
•Apply water insulating material over the RF connectors (e.g. self-shrinking tape)
•Leave the water protection caps on all the unused M12 connectors.
•Install the connectors in vertical position to reduce the possibility of water intrusion
•Always check that the QMA cables are connected to the device, in order to avoid environmental exposition of the
connectors.
