Electrical Requirements

Wire Size Use ONLY wiring size recommended for single
outlet branch circuit.
Use ONLY type and size fuse or HACR circuit
Fuse/Circuit breaker indicatedon unit's ratingplate (See sample
Breaker on page 6). Proper current protection to the unit is
the responsibility of the owner.
Unit MUST be grounded from branch circuit to
Grounding unit, or through separate ground wire provided on
permanently connected units. Be sure thatbranch
circuit or general purpose outlet isgrounded.
Use recommended wire size given in tables and
Wire Sizing install asinglebranch circuit. Allwidng mustcomply
with local and national codes. NOTE: Use copper
conductors only.

CAUTION
THE ACCESSORY DRAIN PAN
(VPDP1) MUST BE INSTALLED
BEFORE INSTALLING THE UNIT.
1. The accessory drain pan has two (2)
provisions (left & right) for connecting
an external condensate drain.
2. A field supplied condensate drain
system must be connected to one of
the two 3/4" FPT connections.

The remaining connection must be
plugged using the 3/4" pipe plug
(provided) and field suppled teflon
tape or pipe joint compound.
