The PGP-S Power Switcher is a three circuit 60 Amp
Remote AC Power Switcher designed primarily for use with
Furman’s PlugLock-PRO Locking Outlet Systems, models
PGP-20 and PGP-60. It may also be used with any other
commercial or custom-built conduit-wired outlet strips.
The PGP-S is housed in a rugged, 6" x 6" x 4" steel
junction box with three heavy-duty 20 Amp relays. It features
easy-to-connect Phoenix terminal blocks that allow remote
switches and LED indicators to be connected via safe,
inexpensive, low voltage Class 2 wiring. If sequenced turn-on
and turn-off is required, the switching function can be provided
by a Furman PowerLink Remote AC Power Sequence
Controller or ASD-120 Sequenced Power Distro. Remote
switching can be controlled by using any Furman power
control product, including the RS-1, RS-2, PS-8R and PS-PRO
in addition to the ASD-120.
The PGP-S is designed specifically for mounting at the
bottom of a PGP-20 or PGP-60, and also serves as a main
junction box for all power interconnects. It includes an internal
12 VDC supply, and can be controlled from remote locations
using the PowerLink, ASD-120, or, for simpler jobs, the
Furman RS-1 or RS-2 Remote System Control Panels. The
RS-1 provides a maintained key switch; the RS-2 has a
momentary switch. In larger installations, multiple PGP-S’s
may be controlled by a single switch closure, or by a
PowerLink or ASD-120 control signal. Please consult a
Furman service professional for specific installation and
application assistance.
All four sides of the enclosure have multiple knockouts to
accomodate every job. The PGP-S is designed for permanent
installation and accomodates conduit sizes from 3/4" through
1.5". Local codes should be checked for wiring requirements.
Use of a licensed electrical contractor is recommended for the
best and safest installation.

DESCRIPTION
The PlugLock-PRO Locking Outlet Systems provide
unprecedented ease, versatility and reliability for professional
rack applications.
The PlugLock-PRO 60 (PGP-60) provides twenty-four
Edison outlets in its 60” tall chassis, and is designed primarily
for vertical mounting in equipment racks. The PGP-60 is rated
at 60 Amps, divided into three 20 Amp circuits to provide
flexibillity for multiple and varying applications. The included
3/4” nipple mount allows an electrical junction box to be
mounted either at the top or bottom of the PGP-60. (The photo
shows a typical installation; please note that the junction box is
not included. Contact Furman for junction box options.) Power
sequencing relays are also available. A local circuit breaker
can be easily added to each of the 20 Amp circuits if
necessary.
The PlugLock-PRO 20 (PGP-20) is rated at 40 Amps. The
PGP-20 provides twelve Edison outlets (eight on one circuit,
four on the other) in a chassis that is only 30” tall and can be
mounted vertically in smaller racks and other locations.
Both PlugLock-PRO models feature rugged, all-metal
construction, and include a set of Furman’s metal PlugLock
clamps that securely lock any plug or wall wart into place for
reliable operation. The PGP-60 comes with twelve clamps and
the PGP-20 comes with eight. Additional clamps are available
separately from Furman.
