Getting Started
Before using your RANGER 350 power pack for the first
time, activate your warranty and charge your RANGER
350 fully by following these simple steps.
1. Activate your warranty by registering your GOALØ gear
at http://www.goal0.com/warranty
2. Charge your RANGER 350 for 8 hours prior to first
use.
3. The RANGER’s LCD battery indicator will scroll when
receiving a charge.
4. The RANGER has a full charge when the power monitor
reaches 100% and stops scrolling.
You are now ready to take your RANGER and go!
Hint: Your RANGER will perform better by using it
regularly. Recharging after each use will maximize
performance and extend its life. We strongly recommend
that you recharge your RANGER after each use. The
RANGER will not overcharge.
PROTECT your gear by using it and charging it frequently
to extend its life.

When you’re off the grid you need to know how long it will really take
to power up. You don’t want numbers that come out of a laboratory

Questions you may have...
Q- Is my RANGER waterproof?
A-No. It is weather resistant. If your RANGER does get
wet, allow it to dry completely before you use it.
Q- Does the RANGER have “battery” memory?
A-No. Older battery technologies used to suffer from
memory problems. The RANGER’s technology is smart and
prevents memory challenges of old.
Q- Will my RANGER “burn-out” if plugged in too long?
A-Keeping the RANGER plugged in actually improves the
life of the RANGER. Just like your body-staying active
improves its health. At a minimum charge the RANGER at
least once every three (3) months. Keeping the RANGER
plugged in all of the time will keep it healthy and always
ready.
Q- How long does it take to charge the RANGER?
A-From the wall you can expect 4 to 5 hours. From other
sources refer to the TruWatt reference guide for general
guidelines.
Q- What do I do if the Scout won’t hold a charge?
A-If you charge the Scout and it still shows that it is empty
please contact a GOALØ gear specialist. The internal
battery may need to be replaced. If this has occurred
within six (6) months of purchase and the warranty was
activated we will replace the battery at no cost to you.

Q- How does the RANGER perform in extreme tempera-
tures and conditions?
A-The RANGER performs very well within 0 F to 104 F. We
are talking electronics here so if you’re using the RANGER
in extreme conditions you may experience performance
issues. Stay within the recommended temperatures and
the RANGER will perform well.
