BE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
Do not disposebatteries as normalrubbish. Be environmentallyfriendly,
dispose batteries followingthe Government's regulation.
INTRODUCTION
Remove the batterycompartment cover.
Load two AAA(UM-4 or R03) batteries into the
battery compartment.
Make sure thatthe batteries have been inserted
in the correctpolarities matching to the symbols
+, - markedin the battery compartment. Close
the battery compartmentcover.
When replacing batteries,replace both batteries.
Do not mixnew and used batteries operating
together, otherwise, theoperation lifetime will
be much shorterthan normal.
Remove the batteriesif the unit will not beused
for a prolongedperiod of time.
The remote controltransmits a directional
infrared beam. Besure to aim the remote
control directly atthe infrared sensor of the
unit during operation.
If the sensorhas been covered or there isa
large object betweenthe remote control and
the sensor, thesensor will not respond.
The sensor maynot able to receive the
remote signal whenit is exposed to direct
sunlight or astrong artificial light (fluorescent
or strobe light).In this case, change the
direction of thelight or reposition the unit to
avoid direct lighting.

Turn on yourTV set and select the corresponding AV input (withthe AV key, or simular, onthe
television remote control).
Turn on themain power supplyto the STB, the indicator onthe front of the unit willturn red and then
amber. In standbymode, the indicator light will bered. In working mode, the indicator light will be
amber.
Switching on for the first time
GETTING STARTED
If you usethe STB forthe first time or have deletedall channels in the STB,
a "TV Setting"menu displays.
Press "LEFT" or"RIGHT" cursor buttonto choose either "16:9" or "4:3"
according to theTV shape youhave..
Make sure thatthe TV aerialis connected to the unit then,press "OK"
button to continueinstallation.
Press "LEFT" or"RIGHT" cursor buttonto highlight "confirm".
Press "OK" buttonto continue. "Scan Progress" menu will appear and
list the channels as they arefound. A bar appears below thelisting panel
that indicates theprogress of thechannel search.
When all channels have been found,the channel atthe top of the list
will show onthe TV.

Press the "OK"button to startsearching.
Press "EXIT"button toquit.

Press "DOWN" cursorbutton to select "Channel No" section, and enter
desired Channel Numberusing numeric button.
Press the "OK"button to startsearching.
Press "EXIT"button toquit.

use this tuningmethod when youhave moved location or need toadd any newchannels that will
appear from timeto time.
If you knowthat a newchannel is being broadcast and wantto this channeland know what frequency
it is beingtransmitted on thenuse this quick method of addinga new channel.Otherwise use the
Automatic method shownabove.
