FC7000 CONTROL PANEL SETTINGS:

The following instructions explain how to properly set your plotter up when using Graphtec Type 2

Half-Inch Registration Marks in a Print and Cut Workflow. If setting is not specified leave it at the default.

Set Distance Adjust

1. Axis R.M.S.

2. F1 (Auto Reg Mark)

3. F4 (Distance Adjust)

4. F2 (OFF)

5. Enter

Set Mark Type

1. Axis R.M.S.

2. F1 (Auto Reg Mark)

3. F2 (Mark Type)

4. Select the Type of mark, Type 1 or 2* (Type 2 is generally used)

5. Enter

6. F3 (Other Setups)

7. F1 (Mark Size)

8. Change with Down Arrow to 0.52 inches (13mm)

9. Enter

Set Mark Scan Mode

1. Axis R.M.S.

2. F1 (Auto Reg Mark)

3. F1 (Mark Scan Mode)

4. F3 (Enable)

5. Enter

6. F4- 4 POINTS*

7. Enter

8. Mark Position (All zeros)

F1 > 1

F2 > 2

F3 > 3

Note: The Scan Mark setting allows you to specify areas that the plotter will not sense by specifying the

distance between the registration marks. Once the plotter locates the first registration mark, it will

automatically move the specified distance and begin scanning for the next mark. You can also use this

function to reduce mark-sensing time, though before you begin, you must know the distance between

registration marks. If you wish to have the plotter scan the full length and width of the media, simply set

the X and Y values to 0. This will increase the time it takes to scan for the registration marks, but does

not require you to know the exact length and width of your cut job. Consult the plotter's documentation

for further information on this feature.

9. Next (to accept the current setting) or Enter (to adjust the Scan Mark setting)

(Reminder: While moving the carriage with the POSITION keys, hit the NEXT button for Fast speed)

To change the setting of a CONDITION, such as the Force:

•Press the “F” button to switch to the condition you want to modify, for example press the F1

button once to modify CONDITION 1, press it again to toggle to CONDITION 5; press F2 for

CONDITION 2 and 6, and so on.

•Press the CONDITIONS button.

•The cursor blinks next to the Force setting (If you want to change another value press the button

corresponding to that value, example F2 to move the cursor to the SPEED variable).

•Toggle the value up or down with the directional keys. Press the ENTER button to save the value.

SENSOR OFFSET ADJUST

Per Graphtec we need to begin using “Sensor Offset Adjust” rather than “Axis Origin Offset.” Both methods

result in shifting the cut lines but, the Sensor Offset Adjust will NOT move the ORIGIN point.

REMEMBER: Increase the X and Y values shift the cut lines to the upper left if you are standing in front

of the cutter.

Y = (right to left, positive values shift left), X = (down to up, positive values shift cut lines up)

1.) Ensure the customer has “Ready” displayed on the screen.

Hit F1 to be sure you are editing the correct condition

2.) Hit the “AXIS/RMS Key”

3.) Hit “F1” for Auto Reg Mark

4.) Hit “F3” for Other Setups

5.) Hit “F2” Sensor Offset Adjust

6.) Hit “F3” for Method 1

7.) Hit “F3” for Parameter Set

8.) Arrow up or down to change X and Y Axis. Hit “Enter” to confirm.
