1 IMPORTANT SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS
For the proper use, maintenance and storage of this
battery, it is crucially important that you read and
understand the instructions given in this manual.
To avoid serious injury, risk of fire, explosion and
danger of electric shock or electrocution:
• If the battery pack case is cracked or damaged, DO
NOT insert into the charger. Replace with a new
battery pack.
• Charge the battery pack only with the recommended
charger.
• DO NOT try to short circuit any terminals of battery
pack.
WARNING
If the battery fluid gets in your eyes, flush immediately
with clean water for at least 15 minutes. Get
immediate medical attention. Do not charge the
battery pack in rain or in wet conditions. Do not
immerse the tool, battery pack, or charger in water or
other liquid.
• Do not allow the battery pack or charger to
overheat. If they are warm, allow them to cool down.
Recharge only at room temperature.
• Do not place the battery pack in the sun or in a
warm environment. Keep at normal room
temperature.
• Keep in shady, cool and dry condition, if the battery
is not charged for a long time; charge the battery for
2 hours every 2 months.
• The battery pack cells may develop a small leak
under extreme usage or temperature conditions. If
the outer seal is broken and the leakage gets on
your skin:
- Use soap and water to wash immediately.
- Neutralize with lemon juice, vinegar, or other
mild acid.
• If leakage gets in your eyes, follow instructions
above and seek medical attention.
• Please check prior use, if output voltage and current
of the battery charger is suitable for the charging
battery pack.
• During transporting, the battery pack needs
protective packaging.
• Handle with care.
• Keep away from humidity and fire.
2 SAFETY NOTES AND
PRECAUTIONS
• Do not disassemble the battery.
• Keep away from the children.
• Do not expose the battery to water or salt water,
battery should be stored in a cool and dry location
and should place the battery in cool and dry
environment.
• Do not place the battery in high-temperature
locations, such as near a fire, heater, etc.
• Do not reverse the positive terminal and the
negative terminal of the battery.
• Do not connect the positive terminal and the
negative terminal of the battery to each other with
any metal objects.
• Do not knock, strike or step on the battery.
• Do not solder directly onto the battery and pierce the
battery with nails or other edge tools.
• In the event that the battery leaks and the fluid gets
into one’s eye, do not rub the eye. Rinse well with
water.
• Immediately discontinue use of the battery, if, while
using the battery emits an unusual smell, feels hot,
changes color, changes shape, or appears
abnormal in any other way.
3 ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE
BATTERY DISPOSAL
WARNING
If the battery pack cracks or breaks, with or without
leaks, do not recharge it and do not use. Dispose of
the battery and replace with a new battery pack. DO
NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR IT! To avoid injury and
risk of fire, explosion, or electric shock, and to avoid
damage to the environment:
• Cover the battery’s terminals with heavy-duty
adhesive tape.
• DO NOT attempt to remove or destroy any of the
battery pack components.
• DO NOT attempt to open the battery pack.
• If a leak develops, the released electrolytes are
corrosive and toxic. DO NOT get the solution in the
eyes or on skin, and do not swallow it.
• DO NOT place these batteries in your regular
household trash.
• DO NOT incinerate.
• DO NOT place them where they will become part
of any waste landfill or municipal solid waste
stream.
• Take them to a certified recycling or disposal
centre.

4 PROPOSITION 65
WARNING
This product contains a chemical known to the state of
California to cause cancer, birth defects or other
reproductive harm. Some dust created by power
sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other
construction activities contains chemicals known to
cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive
harm. Some examples of these chemicals are:
• Lead from lead-based paints;
• Crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other
masonry products;
• Arsenic and chromium from chemically treated
lumber.
Your risk of exposure to these chemicals varies
depending on how often you do this type of work. To
reduce your exposure to these chemicals, work in a
well-ventilated area, and work with approved safety
equipment, such as dust masks that are specially
designed to filter out microscopic particles.
5 OPERATION
5.1 CHECK BATTERY CAPACITY
Press the battery capacity indicator (BCI) button. The
lights will illuminate according to the batteries capacity
level. See chart below:

BATTERY PROTECTION FEATURES
This lithium-ion battery packs are designed with
features that protect the lithium-ion cells and maximize
battery life.
If the tool stops during use, release the trigger to reset
and resume operation. If the tool still does not work, the
battery needs to be recharged.
COLD WEATHER OPERATION
The lithium-ion battery pack can be used in
temperatures down to -14°C (6.8°F). Put the battery
pack on a tool and use the tool in a light duty
application. After about a minute, the pack will warm up
and begin operating normally.
5.2 CONNECT WITH APP
This App can provide remote battery locking/ unlocking,
a battery locate feature, a battery serial number, a
battery firmware, a battery temperature, a battery
charger, mode repairing and firmware updating.
• The APP is governed by separate terms and
conditions available for viewing through the mobile
application. Download the application at:

• Follow the instructions in the app to create your
account.

• To connect your battery pack with the app, ensure
your device’s and battery pack’s Bluetooth are on.
Then go to the “Panel” screen in the app. Push the
“+” symbol to go to the “Select Device Type”
interface.
• Push the “Battery Pack” option , then surrounding
Bluetooth devices can be scanned from the
Bluetooth “ ” symbol. When the desired device
appears on screen, you can push “Binding“ to
connect the device.
NOTE
If the connect time is more than 30 seconds, please
repress the battery indicator button to activate the
battery again.

8 LIMITED WARRANTY
Greenworks hereby warranties this product, to the
original purchaser with proof of purchase, 2 year
commercial battery warranty against defects in
materials, parts or workmanship. Greenworks, at its
own discretion will repair or replace any and all parts
found to be defective, through normal use, free of
charge to the customer. This warranty is valid only for
units which have been used for personal use that have
not been hired or rented for industrial/commercial use,
and that have been maintained in accordance with the
instructions in the owners’ manual supplied with the
product from new.
2YEAR LIMITED BATTERY WARRANTY COVERAGE:
– Greenworks Commercial Battery Packs (GL 200, GL
250, GL 300, GL 400, GL 500, GL 900)
– 2 year from the date of purchase (non transferable)
WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS, LIMITATIONS AND
RIGHTS:
1. All warranties may not be transferred by the
consumer to any subsequent purchaser.
2. Parts or components not supplied by the warrantor,
or parts or components that have been modified.
3. Any failure resulting from the use of improper tools
or improper repair procedures.
4. Any failure resulting from the use of improper tools
or improper repair procedures.
5. Any failure or part that has become inoperative due
to accident, impact, abuse, misuse, neglect,
mishandling, dulling of cutting edges, or failure to
operate the product in accordance with the
information provided in the instruction manual
supplied with the product.
6. Normal deterioration of the exterior due to use or
exposure, and any repairs made necessary by
normal wear, improper maintenance, improper
lubrication, improper storage, dirt, abrasives, impact,
moisture, water, rain, snow, rust, corrosion, varnish,
or other similar conditions.
7. The unit, if it has not been operated and/or
maintained in accordance with the owner's manual.
8. Improper voltage for electric products and batteries
that have been exposed to temperatures beyond
those specified in the product’s instruction manual,
batteries that have not been properly charged or
batteries that have reached their useful life.

Transportation charges for the movement of any power

1 INSTRUCTIONS DE SÉCURITÉ
IMPORTANTES
Pour un usage, une maintenance et un stockage
corrects de cette batterie, il s'avère crucial que vous
ayez lu et compris les instructions fournies dans ce
manuel.
Pour éviter les blessures graves, risque d'incendie,
explosion et danger de décharge électrique ou
d'électrocution :
• Si le boîtier du pack-batterie est fissuré ou
endommagé, NE l'insérez PAS dans le chargeur.
Remplacez-le par un pack-batterie neuf.
• Chargez le pack-batterie uniquement avec le
chargeur recommandé.
• NE tentez PAS de court-circuiter une quelconque
borne du pack-batterie.
AVERTISSEMENT
Si du fluide de batterie entre en contact avec vos
yeux, rincez immédiatement à l'eau claire pendant au
moins 15 minutes. Faites immédiatement appel à un
médecin. Ne chargez pas le pack-batterie sous la
pluie ou en présence d'humidité. N'immergez pas
l'outil, le pack-batterie ou le chargeur dans l'eau ou un
autre liquide.
• Ne laissez pas le pack-batterie ou le chargeur
surchauffer. S'ils sont chauds, laissez-les refroidir.
Rechargez uniquement à température de la pièce.
• N'exposez pas le pack-batterie au soleil ou à un
environnement chaud. Conservez à température de
la pièce normale.
• Conservez dans un endroit sec, ombragé et frais si
la batterie n'est pas chargée pendant une période
prolongée. Chargez la batterie pendant 2 heures
tous les 2 mois.
• Les cellules du pack-batterie peuvent développer
une petite fuite sous des conditions de température
ou de service extrêmes. Si le joint extérieur est
cassé et la fuite touche votre peau :
- Lavez immédiatement au savon et à l'eau.
- Neutralisez avec du jus de citron, du vinaigre
ou un autre acide peu puissant.
• Si la fuite touche vos yeux, suivez les instructions
précédentes et faites appel à un médecin.
• Avant usage, assurez-vous que la tension et le
courant du chargeur de batterie sont adaptés à la
charge du pack-batterie.
• Durant le transport, rangez le pack-batterie dans un
emballage de protection.
• Manipulez avec soin.
• Maintenez à l'écart de l'humidité et du feu.
2 PRÉCAUTIONS ET NOTES DE
SÉCURITÉ
• Ne démontez pas la batterie.
• Maintenez à l'écart des enfants.
• N'exposez pas la batterie à l'eau ou à l'eau salée.
Conservez la batterie à un endroit frais et sec et
placez-la dans un environnement frais et sec.
• N'exposez pas la batterie à une température élevée,
ainsi à proximité d'un feu, d'un chauffage, etc.
• N'inversez pas les bornes positive et négative de la
batterie.
• Ne connectez pas les bornes positive et négative de
la batterie entre elles avec un quelconque objet
métallique.
• Ne heurtez, ne frappez et ne marchez pas sur la
batterie.
• Ne soudez pas directement sur la batterie et ne la
percez pas avec des clous ou autres outils à bords
saillants.
• En cas de fuite de la batterie et si le fluide entre en
contact avec des yeux, ne les frottez pas. Rincez
bien à l'eau.
• Cessez immédiatement l'usage de la batterie si,
pendant son utilisation, elle émet une odeur
inhabituelle, elle semble chaude, elle change de
couleur ou de forme, voire paraît autrement
anormale.
3 MISE AU REBUT ÉCOLOGIQUE
DE LA BATTERIE

AVERTISSEMENT
En cas de rupture ou de fissure du pack-batterie, avec
ou sans fuite, ne le rechargez et ne l'utilisez pas.
Mettez la batterie au rebut et remplacez-la par un
pack-batterie neuf. NE TENTEZ AUCUNE
RÉPARATION ! Pour éviter tout risque d’incendie,
d'explosion ou décharge électrique et toute blessure
et afin d'éviter de nuire à l'environnement :
• Couvrez les bornes de batterie avec un ruban
adhésif résistant.
• NE TENTEZ PAS de retirer ou détruire un
quelconque composant de pack-batterie.
• NE TENTEZ PAS d'ouvrir le pack-batterie.
• Si une fuite se développe, les électrolytes diffusés
sont corrosifs et toxiques. ÉVITEZ que la solution
n'entre en contact avec les yeux et abstenez-vous
de l'avaler.
• NE JETEZ PAS ces batteries avec vos déchets
ménagers normaux.
• N'INCINÉREZ PAS.
• NE LES JETEZ PAS dans le cadre d'une
déchetterie ou d'un flux de déchets solides
municipal.
• Apportez-les à une déchetterie ou un centre de
recyclage certifié.
4 PROPOSITION 65
AVERTISSEMENT
Ce produit contient un produit chimique reconnu dans
l'État de Californie comme une cause de cancer, de

reproduction. Certaines poussières créées par le
ponçage, le sciage, le meulage, le perçage et autres

• Plomb des peintures au plomb ;

Votre risque d'exposition à ces produits chimiques
varie selon la fréquence avec laquelle vous exécutez
ce type de travaux. Afin de réduire votre exposition à
ces produits chimiques, travaillez dans une zone bien
ventilée et avec un équipement de sécurité agréé,
ainsi des masques antipoussière spécialement conçus
pour filtrer les particules microscopiques.
5 FONCTIONNEMENT
5.1 CONTRÔLE DE CAPACITÉ DE

Appuyez sur le bouton BCI (Battery capacity indicator -
Indicateur de capacité de batterie). Les témoins
s'allument selon le niveau de capacité de la batterie.
