ensure everything is connected properly.
The LiPo Protection Module does not require any additional setup before use. Your Axe CP-L is now ready to fly. Toward
the end of the flight you will notice a reduction in power. This reduction in power is the first warning that the flight battery is
almost fully discharged. Bring the model into a hover and land the model as soon as possible. It is best to land immediately
if you notice a reduction in the power. If you continue to fly, the throttle will be slowly reduced until the model will no longer
fly. If the battery voltages drop below a safe level, the drive motor will no longer operate. This prevents the flight battery from
being damaged.
It is not necessary to fully discharge a LiPo battery before recharging. In fact, over-discharging a LiPo can dramatically
decrease its useful life. Unlike NiCds and NiMHs, LiPos do not form a “memory” if only partially discharged. DO allow a LiPo
battery to cool for at least 10 minutes before recharging -- and if storing it for longer than 2 weeks, make sure the battery
contains a minimum of 50% charge.
LiPo batteries provide a power to weight ratio that far surpasses all other battery technologies available today. With proper
cautions, LiPo batteries can be used safely and will last a very long time.
We hope you enjoy flying your Axe CP-L.
