SSD6780A Overview

The SSD6780A is a compact, high-performance NVMe RAID storage

solution for PC platforms. Each of the 8 drive bays features dedicated

PCIe 4.0 x4 bus bandwidth to ensure each NVMe SSD operates at peak

performance. Any PC with a free, dedicated PCIe 3.0/ 4.0 x16 slot can

now experience the true performance capabilities of NVMe technology.

System Requirements

•Windows 11, 10 / Server 2022, 2019, 2016 / Microsoft Hyper-V

•RHEL/Debian/Ubuntu/Fedora/Proxmox/Rocky Linux

(Linux kernel 3.10 and later)

Flashing Green – no connection

Solid Red – connection error

Solid Green – current bus speed is x16

Flashing Green – current bus speed is not x16

Solid Blue: CDFP cable is connected

Flash Yellow: CDFP cable is not connected

No Light: the driver is not installed or the device is not detected

Solid Blue: Optimal PCIe speed

Flash Blue: Sub-optimal PCIe speed

•RAID LED

Solid Red: RAID status is disabled

Lights out: No driver is installed or the driver does not detect the

Solid Blue: RAID status is normal

Solid Yellow: RAID status is critical

Flash Blue: The RAID array is being initialized

Flash Yellow: The RAID array is being rebuilt

•Status LED

Solid Red: The Enclosure chipset hardware has exceeded the

recommended temperature threshold (80 ℃), the disk has

exceeded the recommended temperature threshold (65 °C), or the

cooling system fan speed has dropped below the minimum

threshold (100RPM)

Solid Blue: All PCIe, RAID, HighPoint Logo LED are Blue

Solid Yellow: Any of the PCIe, RAID, or HighPoint logo LEDs

are not blue

•Tray LED

No light: The disk is not detected, or the disk adapter (U.2 to

M.2) LED is not responding

Solid Blue: The disk is detected

Flash Blue: The disk is doing I/O

Solid Red: The disk is failed

Alternately flashing blue-violet: The disk is rebuilding

Enclosure Panel Layout-Rear View

•Kensington Lock Slot: Optional slot for Kensington Lock

•Power Switch: Enclosure power switch

•Mute Button: Mute the internal enclosure alarm buzzer

•Ethernet：Can be used monitor the SSD6780A via an internet

connection

•CDFP Connector: CDFP cable connector for the NVMe HBA

connection

SSD6780A Hardware Installation

1. CarefullyinserttheU.2/U.3NVMeSSDintothedisktrayandsecure

it with the provided mounting screws.

2. Place the Enclosure on a level surface and load each disk tray.

3. Connect the CDFP cable to the controller card’s external port.

4. Connect the other end of the CDFP cable to the enclosure’s CDFP

port (rear panel).

5. Connect the Power cable to the rear of the enclosure and connect it

to an AC power source.
