Rack: Use the three small

screws to attach the

brackets to the hub.

Shelf: Peel off the protective

backing and attach the rubber feet

to the hub.

• Remove the hub and parts from the box.

• Attach the enclosed brackets if you plan to

mount the hub in a rack.

• Install the Intel®Express 330T Stackable Hub

in a rack or on a shelf.

• Plug in the power cord.

Connect

the Devices

• All ports automatically detect the speed of the

device connected to them.

• Connect PCs and print servers to the hub with

straight-through cables.

• Use a crossover cable to connect a hub to

another hub or switch.

• Use a straight-through cable to connect to

another hub or switch when port 1 is set to

MDI.

• Use only CAT 5 UTP to connect 100Mbps

devices. To connect 10Mbps devices, use CAT

3, 4, or 5 UTP.

Stack the Hubs

• All ports on the hub are MDI-X. Pressing the

MDI/MDI-X button switches Port 1 to MDI so

you can connect to another hub or switch using

a straight-through cable.

• Because the 330T is a Class II hub, never

daisy-chain a 330T hub to a Class I hub running

at 100Mbps with UTP cable. Doing so can lead

to poor network performance.

• Unplug the power cords from all the hubs.

• Use the included cascade cable to connect the

hubs. Hubs can be stacked up to five high

(mixed 16- or 24-port).

• When properly connected, the entire stack will

act as a single repeater with two segments

(10Mbps and 100Mbps). The top hub in a stack

will be numbered hub 1.

• The hub’s internal bridge automatically bridges

the 10Mbps and 100Mbps segments (collision

domains) for the entire stack.

• Both 16- and 24-port 330T hubs can accept

optional modules (refer to the User Guide).

• Use optional modules to manage a stack,

connect to devices at full duplex, or to extend

the network to another building or beyond

Armoire : utilisez les trois

petites vis pour fixer les

supports sur le hub.

Etagère : retirez la pellicule

adhésive et placez les supports

en caoutchouc sous le hub.

•Retirez le hub et les autres éléments de la

boîte.

• Fixez les supports livrés avec le hub si vous

avez l’intention de monter celui-ci dans une

armoire.

• Installez le hub empilable Intel®Express 330T

dans une armoire ou sur une étagère.

• Branchez le câble d’alimentation.

Connectez les

périphériques

•Tous les ports sont configurés de manière

à détecter automatiquement la vitesse du

périphérique connecté.

• Branchez les PC et les serveurs d’impression sur

le hub à l’aide de câbles directs.

• Utilisez un câble croisé pour connecter le hub

à un autre hub ou à un commutateur.

• Utilisez un câble direct pour connecter le hub

à un autre hub ou à un commutateur si le port

1 est défini par MDI.

• Utilisez un câble UTP (paires torsadées non blin-

dées) CAT 5 pour brancher des périphériques 100

Mbps. Choisissez un câble UTP CAT 3, 4 ou 5

pour des périphériques 10 Mbps.

• Tous les ports des hubs sont de type MDI-X.

Le bouton MDI/MDI-X permet de définir le port

1 par MDI afin d’y connecter un autre hub ou un

commutateur à l’aide d’un câble direct.

• Le hub 330T fait partie des appareils de classe II ;

ne le raccordez jamais par chaînage à un hub de

classe I fonctionnant à 100 Mbps à l’aide d’un

câble UTP afin d’éviter une baisse des perfor-

mances du réseau.

• Débranchez le câble d’alimentation de tous

les hubs.

• Connectez les hubs en cascade à l’aide du câble

prévu à cet effet. Vous pouvez combiner jusqu’à

5 hubs (16 ou 24 ports).

• Lorsque les connexions sont établies correcte-

ment, la pile fonctionne comme un répéteur uni-

que reliant deux segments (10 Mbps et 100

Mbps). Le hub figurant en haut de la pile porte le

numéro 1.

• Le pont interne du hub assure la liaison entre le

segment à 10 Mbps et celui à 100 Mbps (domaine

de collisions) pour toute la pile.

• Les hubs 330T à 16 et 24 ports permettent la

connexion de modules disponibles en option

(consultez le Guide de l’utilisateur).

• Ces modules permettent de gérer une pile, de

connecter des périphériques en mode duplex

intégral, de relier plusieurs bâtiments ou de

prolonger le réseau de plus de100 mètres.

A rack: usare le tre

Su ripiano: rimuovere la protezione

dell’autoadesivo dai piedini e farli

aderire all’hub.

• Rimuovere l’hub e le altre parti dalla

confezione.

• Se si intende montare l’hub a rack, fissare

i supporti allegati.

• Installare l’Intel®Express 330T Stackable Hub

in un rack o su un ripiano.

• Collegare il cavo di alimentazione.

Collegamento

• Tutte le porte sono in grado di rilevare la

velocità del dispositivo collegato.

• Collegare i server di stampa e i PC all’hub con

un cavo diretto.

• Usare un cavo incrociato per connettere un

hub a un altro hub o switch.

• Usare un cavo diretto per la connessione a un

altro hub o switch quando la porta 1 viene

impostata su MDI.

• Usare soltanto UTP di CAT 5 per collegare

i dispositivi a 100 Mbps. Per collegare

dispositivi a 10 Mbps usare UTP di

CAT 3, 4 o 5.
