When using electrical products, especially when children
are present, basic sa ety precautions should always be

WARNING
NEVER operate this product with a damaged cord or
plug, i it is not working properly, i it has been dropped
or damaged, or dropped into water; call Quali ied Service
Personnel or examination and repair.

NEVER drop or insert any object into any opening.
NEVER use while sleeping or drowsy.
NEVER block the air openings o the product or place it
on a so t sur ace, such as a bed or couch, where the air
openings may be blocked. Keep the air openings ree rom
lint, hair and the like. Blocked openings may cause the
unit to shut down. Contact dealer immediately.
DO NOT use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray)
products are being used or where oxygen is being adminis-
tered in a closed environment such as an oxygen tent.
This unit is oil-less. DO NOT lubricate.

ELECTRICAL
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still
does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat
this safety feature.
Compressor:
If the unit shuts down frequently, you may have a low voltage
situation.
Low voltage can also be suspected when:
1. The motor does not get up to full power or speed.
2. Home fuses or circuit breakers activate when starting compressor.
3. Lights dim or remain dim when compressor is started.
4. Other motor operated appliances fail to operate properly or
too many motor operated appliances are on same circuit.
The motor of this compressor has a thermal overload protector. If the
motor should overheat, the overload protector will shut off the motor.
If the unit shuts down and cannot be restarted, the motor must be
replaced. Call your dealer immediately.
Extension Cords:
Make certain extension cord is in good condition. Make certain extension
cord wire is NOT LESS than 18 gauge for 25 feet, 16 gauge for 50 feet and
14 gauge for 100 feet.
MAINTENANCE
Only authorized or factory-trained personnel should perform preventative
maintenance.

HANDLING PROCEDURES
SHIPPING AND TRANSPORTATION INSTRUCTIONS
The shipping container has been designed to assure protection of
this device.
If this device is to be reshipped by common carrier, it should be packed
in the same carton. Extra cartons are available from Invacare.
UNPACKING
1. Check for any obvious damage to the carton or its contents. If
damage is evident, do NOT use. Notify Carrier/Invacare or your
local Invacare Dealer.
2. Remove all the loose packing from the carton.
3. Carefully remove all the components from the carton.
NOTE: Retain carton and packing materials for use in shipping or storing the
unit until use is required.
INSPECTION
1. Examine exterior for nicks, dents, scratches or other damage.
Inspect all components.
STORAGE
1. Store the repackaged device in a dry area.
2. DO NOT place other objects on top of the repackaged device.
Your nebulizer package includes a nebulizer mouthpiece, nebulizer, and
air tubing. These items are sold as a package only.
NOTE: Before initial operation, nebulizer should be cleaned. ollow the rec-
ommended Cleaning Instructions in this Owners Manual.

WARNING
DO NOT run unit without ilter.
Avoid operating this product in a dusty environment
which could cause premature compressor wear.
SETUP
1. Place the device on a table so that the controls can be reached
when seated.
2. Open the storage compartment door by lifting up the latch with
your thumb and pulling out with your fingers.
3. Remove nebulizer, nebulizer mouthpiece, and air tubing from the
storage compartment.
4. Secure one end of the tubing to the compressor air outlet
(FIGURE 1).
5. Connect the other end to the nebulizer.
WARNING
In the case o high humidity, condensation may orm
inside the internal tubing. Run the unit or two (2) minutes
be ore connecting the nebulizer to the tubing.
6. Add liquid medication to the nebulizer according to your
physicians prescription (FIGURE 2).
