Initial Setup Manual Ver. 1.3 for Using the Remote Control App

(D-ILA Remote 2)

This manual describes initial setup to remote control JVC D-ILA projector (hereinafter referred to as the projector)

using smartphones and tablets.

DLA-X900R, DLA-X700R, DLA-X500R, DLA-RS67, DLA-RS57, DLA-RS49, DLA-RS6710,

DLA-RS4910, DLA-XC7880R, DLA-XC5880R

The following conditions are necessary to remote control the projector using smartphones and tablets.

䡵iOS

•Compatible device: iPhone4S/5/5S/5C, iPad2 or later, iPod touch(4th generation or later), iPad mini

•Compatible OS: iOS 6 or later

䡵Android

•Compatible device: Android devices

•Compatible OS: Android OS 4.0 or later

* In order to operate the projector, it is necessary to first install an exclusive app on your terminal device. The

exclusive application is available free of charge.

* Operability of all functions is not guaranteed.

•A wireless LAN network environment connected with the projector via wired LAN.

•Compatible projector

•Compatible device

•Wireless LAN router* (hereinafter referred to as router), and LAN cable that connects the projector and router.

* A router with DHCP server function.

Procedures for the initial setup

AIn Settings, switch “ON” Wi-Fi.

BInside Choose a Network, look for the router in use and

select it.

CConnection is complete when the Wi-Fi strength indicator

appears at the top next to the signal strength indicator.

䡵Note

Refer to the user manual of router in use on how to select a

router, and connection between the router and your device.

Connection is not possible using 3G or LTE network.

Cable connect the projector to a router for network setup.

AOpen the projector menu. Go to “Function” →“Network”, and turn “ON” the

“DHCP Client”.

BSelect “YES” under “Set” →“Apply Network Setting?”

CAn IP address will be automatically assigned when network setup is

successfully achieved. This completes network setup of the projector.

ADownload the app.

* Please refer to the support page on our website prior to installing the app, which can be downloaded from the

App Store or Play Store.

Search with keywords “D-ILA Remote 2”.

BRun the app, and select your preferred language from the “Language Selection” screen that is displayed.

* Need reinstall to change language.

CWhen the installation is complete, the “IP Address” setting screen appears.

DEnter the “IP Address” displayed in “Function” →“Network” of the projector’s menu, then press “OK”.

䡵Note

Communications cannot be achieved when the projector's main power is off with ECO Mode setting on. To

turn on the power via the app, switch off the ECO mode.

You can experience operating this app.

ASelect “Setting” --> “Demo Mode” at the bottom of the screen.

BSelect “On” and click the “Set” button.

CReturns to the Home screen under power off condition. Press the

“Power On” button to operate using demo mode.

* During Demo mode, “DEMO” blinks on the upper right corner of the

screen.

* You cannot operate the projector using the app when in the demo mode.

For actual operation, turn off the demo mode.

For turning on/off the power of the projector and switching the input.

Displays the current picture mode.

Allows you to set the optimal image quality automatically simply by specifying

the image type and preferred color tone etc.

Identifies the problem and guides you through appropriate countermeasures.

Screen that links the basic operations and various setting menus to the

projector.

Allows you to read, save and write all the settings of the projector.
