1.0 General

basis for a contract or warranty. All orders are accepted subject to the standard terms and conditions of
sale and delivery (which will be sent to you at your request).
1.2 General warnings
Installation must comply with the relevant local and/or national regulations. You must therefore have the
Ecofan P120 installed by a professionally qualied installer in accordance with all applicable national and
international regulations. Faulty installation, adjustment, alteration, maintenance activity or repair shall
render the warranty void.

Warning
Incorrect installation, adjustment, alteration, repair or maintenance work may lead to material
damage or injury. All work must be carried out by certied, qualied professionals. If the appliance
is not positioned in accordance with the instructions, the warranty shall be rendered void. This
appliance is not intended for use by children or persons with a physical, sensory or mental
handicap, or who lack the required experience or expertise, unless they are supervised or have
been instructed in the use of the appliance by somebody who is responsible for their safety.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

3.0 General safety guidelines
1. This device is only to be used indoors.
2. Before every use, check that the voltage on the socket to be used matches the voltage indicated on
the device’s specication plate: 220-240V / 50Hz.
3. Check fan and cable for damage before use. If you discover any damage (even if this is found later,
after a fall for example) or if the device fails to operate properly, do not use and ask a supplier/
trained electrician to repair it. Never open up the device, remove components/screws or carry out
repairs yourself!
4. The distance between the fan blades and the oor must be at least 230cm. The connection point, to
which the fan is connected, must be able to bear a weight of 100kg. Never hang the fan on the
connection point itself; connect it to the ceiling.
5. The electrical installation and wiring must comply with national and local regulations.
6. The fan must be earthed correctly in order to avoid the risk of electric shocks.
7. Never touch a device that is rotating and never insert any part of your body between the rotating
turbines!
8. Never hang the fan in a damp or wet room. Never touch the operating unit with wet hands!
9. Do not leave a fan operating unsupervised in a room.
10. Never hang things over the device. Ensure that curtains, clothing etc do not come into the vicinity of
the fan.
11. Never spray any products (anti-insect, cleaning agent etc) on or in the fan.
12. Do not store or use the fan near acids, alkalis, oil or other corrosive substances.
13. Do not store or use the fan near ammable, explosive or gaseous substances;
14. This device is not suitable to be used by children or persons with a physical, sensual or mental
disability or those who lack experience and knowledge, irrespective of whether they are being \
supervised or there is a responsible person present. Keep these persons and household pets out of
the vicinity of the fan.
15. This device should only be used for the purposes set out in the booklet. Any other usage may be
dangerous (could cause re, injury, damage, electric shock etc) and will invalidate the liability of the
supplier and the garantee.

6.1 Ceiling fan
Your ceiling fan should be installed by someone with an understanding of
electrical cabling.
• Disconnect the power.
• Remove the packaging materials.
• Screw the three turbines to the motor casing securely with nuts and
rings each; the connection bracket should face the ceiling (see
diagram).
• Secure the plate with the suspension hook to the ceiling, directly
next to the electrical connection point.
- Decide which screws (and plugs or bolts) are required for your
base material. The materials which are enclosed are suitable for
wood. If you have another base and you are not sure, ask for advice
regarding which materials are required!
- Mark the right location for the screws. If necessary, drill holes and
use plugs/key bolts.
- Screw the plate (suspension hook downwards) into place securely.
Use a at ring and a spring washer between the screw and
plate for extra rigidity. Make sure no wires are trapped
between the ceiling and the plate!
• Slide the upper protective cap on the fan downwards and
hang the fan on the suspension hook using the pulley. Make
sure that no wires become trapped between hook and
pulley! Check to make sure that everything is secure.
• Connect the wires from the connection point to the corresponding
wires in the connector:
Brown = L (phase),
Blue = N (neutral),
green/yellow = earth.

5.0 Description
The Ecofan P120 is intended to provide a refreshing ow of air in the relevant room. It has been designed
to be connected to an electrical point in the ceiling. It is operated using a special, wall-mounted operating
unit that is connected to the connection point in the ceiling.
This wall-mounted contact unit enables the fan to be set to 3 different settings (LOW – MED - HI) and
switched off (OFF).
6.0 Installation
Before beginning to install the fan and/or the operating unit, the electrical installation must be adequately
prepared.
Choose the location on the ceiling where you would like to hang the fan. At this location, there must be
an electrical connection point (220-240V / 50HZ) with the correct cabling that is connected to the wall-
mounted unit in order to operate the fan. This connection point must only be installed by an approved
electrician. The ceiling must also be:
- At least 266cm above the oor.
- Made of material that is suitable and sturdy enough to bear the fan
(also during use), i.e. concrete, wooden beams or similar but not
plaster, soft boards, scrap etc. able to bear at least 100kg.

will damage the device!
• Slide the upper protective cap over the
connection point and hanging point to the
ceiling and screw it into place onto the
piping.
6.2 Operating unit
The operating unit (220-240V / 50Hz) must be
installed by an electrician.

Once installation is completed, you can switch the power back on with the main switch. Your ceiling fan is
now ready for use.
7.0 Operation
Check that you have complied with all safety regulations; you can then switch on the device by turning the
operating button clockwise from OFF to HI. The fan will start to rotate at the highest setting. By turning
further, to MED or LOW, you will slow the fan down. In order to switch the fan off, turn the button
clockwise to OFF.
8.0 Cleaning and maintenance
Switch the fan off in order to clean it. The fan only needs general, exterior maintenance. Dust it regularly
with a soft cloth or duster or use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush to clean. If it becomes very dirty,
clean with a slightly damp cloth and a mild household cleaning product. Dry everything thoroughly and
allow the fan to dry properly before using again. Ensure that water does not come into contact with
anything other than the casing and the turbines! Never rinse or spray the fan!
In order to prevent material discolouration or deformities, never use aggressive or corrosive (cleaning)
products.
Repairs must be carried out by qualied engineers. This also applies to repairs to the electrical elements.
Make sure that the power is always switched off via the main switch. Please request original parts if the
device needs to be repaired. Never open up the device yourself!
If the device is subjected to modications or repairs are carried out by unqualied persons, the guarantees
from the supplier, importer and manufacturer will become null and void.

1.0 Allgemeines
1.1 Änderungen vorbehalten
Der Hersteller strebt eine kontinuierliche Verbesserung der Produkte an und behält sich das Recht
vor, ohne vorherige Mitteilung Änderungen an den technischen Daten vorzunehmen. Die technischen
Angaben werden als korrekt angenommen, bilden aber keine Grundlage für einen Vertrag oder
Gewährleistungsansprüche. Alle Bestellungen werden gemäß den Standardkonditionen in unseren
allgemeinen Verkaufs- und Lieferbedingungen angenommen (diese werden auf Anfrage zur Verfügung

Die Installation muss den geltenden landesweiten und örtlichen Bestimmungen entsprechen. Daher darf
das Gerät nur von einem sachkundigen und qualizierten Installateur unter Beachtung der nationalen und
internationalen Vorschriften installiert werden. Im Falle einer unsachgemäßen Installation, Einstellung,
Änderung, Wartung oder Instandsetzung erlischt die Gewährleistung.

Fehlerhaft durchgeführte Installationen, Einstellungen, Änderungen, Reparaturen oder

3.0 Wichtige Sicherheitsvorschriften
1. Dieses Gerät ist ausschließlich für die Anwendung im Haus zugelassen.
2. Kontrollieren Sie vor jeder Anwendung, ob die Spannung der vorgesehenen Steckdose der auf dem
Modelletikett des Gerätes angegebenen Spannung entspricht: 220-240V / 50Hz.
3. Kontrollieren Sie vor Gebrauch das Gerät und Elektrokabel auf eventuelle Beschädigungen. Bei
Defekten (auch später, oder beispielsweise nach einem Fall) oder Funktionsstörungen das Gerät
nicht weiter benutzen, sondern beim Lieferanten bzw. einem qualizierten Elektriker in Reparatur
geben. Das Gerät nicht selbst öffnen, keine Teile bzw. Schrauben oder ähnliches entfernen und
niemals selbst Reparaturen am Gerät ausführen!
4. Der Ventilator muss so aufgehängt werden, dass zwischen den Ventilatorügeln und dem Boden ein
Abstand von mindestens 230 cm besteht. Die Deckenhalterung des Anschlusses, an der der Ventilator
befestigt wird, muss eine Tragfähigkeit von mindestens 100 kg aufweisen. Hängen Sie den Ventilator
nicht am Elektroanschluss selbst auf, sondern befestigen Sie ihn direkt an der Decke.
5. Die Elektroinstallation und die Anschlüsse müssen den nationalen und vor Ort gültigen Vorschriften
entsprechen.
6. Der Ventilator muss sorgfältig geerdet werden, um die Gefahr eines elektrischen Schlags zu
vermeiden.
7. Niemals den laufenden Ventilator berühren und keinen Gegenstand zwischen die sich drehenden
Flügel stecken!
8. Bringen Sie den Ventilator nicht in feuchten Räumen oder in Nassbereichen an. Berühren Sie das
Gerät und die Schaltbox nicht mit feuchten Händen!
9. Lassen Sie einen arbeitenden Ventilator nicht unbeaufsichtigt.
10. Nichts über das Gerät hängen. Sorgen Sie dafür, dass aufwehende Gardinen, Teppiche, etc. nicht mit
dem Ventilator in Berührung kommen können.
11. Keine Mittelchen (Insektenspray, Reinigungsmittel etc.) auf bzw. in den Ventilator sprühen.
12. Verwenden und lagern Sie den Ventilator nicht in der Nähe von leicht entzündbaren,
explosionsgefährlichen oder gasförmigen Stoffen
13. Verwenden und lagern Sie den Ventilator nicht in der Nähe von Säuren, Alkali, Öl und anderen
korrosiven Stoffen
14. Dieses Gerät eignet sich nicht dazu, von Kindern oder Personen mit einer körperlichen, sinnlichen
oder geistigen Behinderung, bzw. mit mangelnder Erfahrung und Kenntnissen benutzt zu werden,
unabhängig davon, ob Aufsicht, bzw. für das Wohlbenden der Betreffenden Verantwortliche
anwesend sind. Diese Personen, sowie Haustiere, vom Gerät fernhalten.
15. Verwenden Sie dieses Gerät ausschließlich für den in dieser Broschüre beschriebenen Zweck und
den Anleitungen entsprechend. Jede andere Anwendung kann gefährlich sein (Brand, Körperschaden,
Sachschaden, elektrischer Schock usw.) und sorgt dafür, dass die Haftpicht des Lieferanten, sowie die
Garantie verfallen.
