2Product Overview

The T322X, a GPS vehicle tracker, is used for private vehicle anti-theft, official vehicle anti-theft, and personal tracking

management. The tracker supports phone voice menu for arming query, status query, and location query in long standby

mode.

3.2 Smart Voice Setting

Dial the T322X SIM card number by using an authorized mobile phone number to set the smart voice function. After dialing, the

following voice prompt is played: "Hello. Arming, press 1; disarming, press 2; query arming status, press 3; query a location,

press 4; listen-in, press 5. Thank you." Then, press the related number on the phone to enable a function.

For details about the arming and disarming functions, see section 6.4.3.

Note: Before setting the smart voice function, ensure that:

Your mobile phone number is authorized on the T322X.

The SIM card on the T322 has subscribed the caller ID service. Otherwise, the function cannot be used.

3.3 Smart Sleep Mode

The smart sleep function works differently depending on the engine.

Scenario 1: The engine is not connected during detection.

If the engine is off (ACC OFF), and the T322X had not been working for 15 minutes, it will automatically enter the power-saving

sleep mode. In this way, the GPS module does not work, and the T322X does not upload tracking data at a regular interval.

Instead, the T322X sends heartbeat data packets about the positioning cease (the GPS does not take effect) to the platform

every 60 minutes. The interval for sending heartbeat packets can be changed. If the T322X vibrates, the T322X is waken up,

continues to work normally, and reports data including heartbeat packet data at a regular interval.

Scenario 2: The engine is connected during detection.

If the engine is on (ACC ON), the T322X works normally, and uploads track data regularly.

If the engine is off (ACC OFF) and no vibration occurs, the T322X will automatically enter the power-saving sleep mode. As in

scenario 1, the T322X sends heartbeat data packets about the positioning cease to the platform every 60 minutes. The interval

for sending heartbeat packets can be changed. If the T322X vibrates or the engine starts, the T322X is waken up, continues to

work normally, and reports data at a regular interval.

Note:

If the T322X is charged by using a USB cable, the T322X has been working normally and will not enter power-saving sleep

mode.

The T322X consumes low power in the smart sleep mode. The built-in battery can work for about 50 hours without

external power supply.

3.4 Data Compression Mode –CCC

Devices communicate with each other through Meitrack protocols. The data header and ending part are in the same format as

the Meitrack protocol data format. The middle part of the data is uploaded in CCC data compression mode. For details about

the CCC data, see the T322X data analysis manual.

Note: Only proactively-uploaded data (such as timing, heartbeat, or alarm events) is uploaded in CCC format. For example,

instructions distributed by the platform and device responses are in the same format as the commands in the Meitrack

protocol manual.

6First Use

6.1 Installing the SIM Card

The following figure shows the SIM card slot:

Remove the SIM card cover, and insert the SIM card to the slot.

Note:

Ensure that the SIM card has sufficient balance.

Ensure that the phone card PIN lock has been closed.

Ensure that the SIM card on the T322X has subscribed the caller ID service if you want to use your authorized phone

number to dial the SIM card.

Power off the T322X before installing the SIM card.

6.2 Indicator

Use any of the following ways to start the T322X:

Press and hold down the power button for 3 to 5 seconds.

Connect the T322X to a computer by using a USB cable.

Connect the T322X to an external power supply.

Note: If the T322X is charged by using a USB cable or connecting an external power supply, the T322X has been working. To

restart the T322X, just press and hold down the power button.

6.3 Configured on a Computer

This section describes how to use MEITRACK Manager to configure the T322X on a computer.

Procedure:

1. Install the USB driver and MEITRACK Manager.

2. Connect the T322X to a PC with a USB cable.

3. Run MEITRACK Manager, and start the T322X. Meitrack Manager will automatically detect the T322X port number and

read T322X parameters.

6.4 Tracking and Anti-Theft

6.4.1 Querying a Location by Using a Mobile Phone

Perform the following steps to query a location:

1. Use a mobile phone with an authorized phone number to call the T322X SIM card number. The calling enters the smart

voice mode automatically.

2. Press 4 on the mobile phone according to the voice prompt. An SMS report about the T322X address link will be received.

3. Click the link to view the T322X location on the map.
