3 Safety instructions
WARNING! Electrocution hazard, Fire hazard
• Installation, assembly, and wiring as well as all other work may only be performed by qualified electri-
cal specialists. Inadequate repairs may cause serious hazards.
• Installation in potentially explosive areas such as rooms with flammable liquids or gases is not permit-
ted.
• Do not install or keep the device near naked flames or other heat sources (heating, direct sunlight, gas
ovens etc.).
• Always install and keep the device out of the reach of children.
NOTICE! Damage hazard
• Check that the voltage specification on the data plate corresponds to that of the energy supply.
• Never immerse the device in water.
• Protect the device and cables against heat and moisture.
• Do not expose the device to rain.
4 Target Group
The electrical power supply must be connected by a qualified electrician who has demonstrated skill and
knowledge related to the construction and operation of electrical equipment and installations, and who
is familiar with the applicable regulations of the country in which the equipment is to be installed and/or
used, and has received safety training to identify and avoid the hazards involved.
5 Intended use
The priority switch is intended for distributing power supply in recreational vehicles (RV) with two available voltage
supplies.
Two outputs are available:
• Electrical appliances that are used only when mains from grid is available.
• Electrical appliances that can be powered by both mains from grid and battery via an inverter.
The priority switch can be used according to the specified protection type after proper installation and cable routing
with suitable cable diameters and external strain relief. The device is not suitable for outdoor use.
This product is only suitable for the intended purpose and application in accordance with these instructions.
This manual provides information that is necessary for proper installation and/or operation of the product. Poor in-
stallation and/or improper operating or maintenance will result in unsatisfactory performance and a possible failure.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for any injury or damage to the product resulting from:
• Incorrect assembly or connection, including excess voltage
• Incorrect maintenance or use of spare parts other than original spare parts provided by the manufacturer
• Alterations to the product without express permission from the manufacturer
• Use for purposes other than those described in this manual

6 Technical description
If a mains voltage and voltage generated by the inverter (from a house battery) are both connected to the priority
switch, the use of the mains voltage has priority.
fig.1 on page 1
If only voltage generated by the inverter is available, the power supply from the battery is used. This ensures that the
limited power of the battery is only used when necessary. This is true for all electrical devices connected to the OUT-
PUT connection of the priority switch.
Electrical devices such as refrigerators and battery chargers can be connected to only receive power output from the
mains voltage, via the OUT connection. When no mains voltage input is available in IN, there is no power supply for
OUT.
fig.2 on page 2
It is recommended (but optional) to connect a battery charger to the OUT output to charge the battery when mains
from grid is available.
7 Installation
WARNING! Electrocution hazard
The installation may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
WARNING! Electrocution hazard
Before any work on the 230 V wiring is performed, switch off all dangerous voltage. Ensure that no acci-
dental switching on or plugging in of mains voltage is possible.
WARNING! Electrocution hazard
Never put cables for 12 V voltage and 230 V voltage in the same cable duct.
NOTICE! Damage risk
Maximum load is 2300 W and 10 A.
7.1 Choosing a location
Install the device in a clean area inside the RV where it is protected against vibrations, explosive materials, moisture,
heat, and pollution.
7.2 Installation procedure
Each section in the priority switch has three connections:

EN
Abbreviation Description Color
L Line conductor Brown
GND Ground conductor Yellow/green
N Neutral conductor Blue
The following components are illustrated as numbered items in the wiring diagram figures:
Item Description
1 Miniature circuit breaker (MCB)
2 Residual-current device (RCD)
3 Battery charger
4 Battery (charging)
5 Inverter
6 Battery (supplying voltage)
7 Residual-current device (RCD)
1. Mount the device by the four mounting flanges using appropriate screws.
2. Connect wires from IN to the 230 V mains supply. It it recommended to use a miniature circuit breaker (MCB)
and a residual-current device (RCD) to ensure electrical safety.
fig.3 on page 2
3. Connect wires from OUT to electrical devices that should only have power supply when there is power from the
230 V mains supply. These electrical devices will never receive power from the battery. Connect a battery charg-
er and connect it to the battery to charge the battery when mains from grid is available.
fig.4 on page 3
4. Connect wires from INVERTER to the inverter and then to the battery. The battery will supply the electrical
devices connected to OUTPUT with power when there is no mains from grid.
Note This wiring depends on inverter model. See manual for inverter for connection instructions.
fig.5 on page 3
5. Connect wires from OUTPUT to electrical devices to be controlled by the priority switch. It is recommended to
connect a residual-current device (RCD) to ensure electrical safety.
fig.6 on page 3
6. Check the three LED indicators to confirm that the wiring is correct, see table in Using the device.
8 Warranty
The statutory warranty period applies. If the product is defective, please contact the manufacturer's branch in your
country (see dometic.com/dealer) or your retailer.
For repair and warranty processing, please include the following documents when you send in the device:
7

EN
• A copy of the receipt with purchasing date
• A reason for the claim or description of the fault
Note that self-repair or nonprofessional repair can have safety consequences and might void the warranty.
9 Using the device
The device operates without any handling from the user. The device detects power input and switches automatical-
ly as soon as a change of the input supply is detected. The monitoring automatically detects whether the external
230 V mains voltage is available and supplies it directly to the 230 V sockets. If the external 230 V mains volt-
age is not present, the interior sockets are either supplied from the inverter or not at all, depending on which output
connection that is used.
Three LED indicators show power supply:
Green LED indicator Description
INVERTER Voltage in from the inverter.
OUTPUT Voltage out on the OUTPUT connection.
MAIN 230V Voltage in from IN and OUT connections.
10 Cleaning and maintenance
The device is maintenance-free.
Occasionally clean the product with a damp cloth.
11 Troubleshooting
The electrical power supply must be connected by a qualified electrician who has demonstrated skill and
knowledge related to the construction and operation of electrical equipment and installations, and who
is familiar with the applicable regulations of the country in which the equipment is to be installed and/or
used, and has received safety training to identify and avoid the hazards involved.
Problem Possible cause Suggested remedy
Broken fuse. 1. Open the fuse holder cap.
2. Replace the defective fuse with a fuse
with the same rating.
No input voltage shown.
Fault in wiring. Make sure the wiring is done ac-
cording to the wiring diagrams in
the installation procedure.
