In "11_1list by date mode", pictures taken on a same date can be played back.

• In full-frame playback mode, just as with normal playback mode, picture display

can be enlarged, pictures can be displayed in thumbnails, edited, or added to

albums, and movies can be played back.

• When _ is tapped, the list by date menu ([]_ 92) is displayed and all pictures

taken on a specified date can be selected for deletion, viewing in a slide show,

or applying print order or protection settings.

Selecting a Date in List by Date Mode

1Press the[] button in playback

mode to display the playback-mode _.l,_

selection menu and tap _,

The first picture taken on the selected date will be

displayed full-frame.

Tap 0 in the full-frame display to return to the list by

date screen.

_1_ Notes on List by Date Mode

• Up to g,O00 of the most recently recorded pictures can be dispbyed in list by date mode. if more

pictures are exist, "_" is displayed next to the number of pictures for the date containing the 9001 st

most recent picture,

• Pictures taken before the date and time have been set are recognized as having been taken on

January 1, 2010, 91

List by Date Menu

Tap _ in list by date mode to apply tile following menu options for only tile

pictures taken on tile specified date.

During full-frame playback only

When _ is tapped in tile list by date screen (_ 91 ), tile print set option can be

applied to all pictures taken on tile same date, or all pictures taken on tile same

date can be deleted.

To apply options to individual pictures or to select individual pictures for deletion,

for example, tap _ in full-frame display.

Tile following options are enabled in tile playback menu.

Print set [_94

Select pictures to print and the number of copies for each.

Slide show _97

View pictures stored in the internal memory or on a memory card in an automatic

slide show.

Delete

Delete all or selected pictures. Multiple pictures can be deleted at a time.

Protect _100

Protect selected pictures from accidental deletion.

copy _lO0

Copy files between memory card and internal memory.

Displaying the Playback Menu

Pressthe [] button to enter playback mode (_ 32).

Tap _ to display tile playback menu.

Print Set (Creating a DPOF Print Order)

When printing pictures stored on the memory card using any of the following

methods, the Print set option in the playback menu is used to create digital "print

orders" for printing on DPOF-compatible devices.

•Inserting the memory card into a DPOF<ompatible (_ 177) printer's card slot

• Taking the memory card to a digital photo lab

• C}onnecting the camera to a PictBridge-compatible (_ 177) printer (_ 132).A

print order can also be created for pictures stored in the internal memory if the

memory card is removed from the camera

1Tap _ in playback mode.

The playbackmenu isdisplayed.

2Tap Print set.

Proceedto step4 when playingbackwith favorite

picturesmode, auto sortmode, or listby date mode.

3Tap Select images.

4Choose pictures (up to 99) and the number of

copies (up to nine) of each,

Tap the desired picture and tap El or n to specify the

number of copies to be printed.

Pictures selected for printing can be recognized by the

check mark (_) icon and the numeral indicating the

number of copies to be printed. If no copies have been

specified for pictures, the selection is canceled.

Tap C_ or rotate the zoom control to T(C_) to switch to fu]Pframe playback.

Tap [] or rotate the zoom control to W([]) to switch back to 6-thumbnail display.

Tap I_ when setting is complete.

5Choose whether or not to print shooting date

and photo information.

Tap Date to print the shooting date on all pictures in the

print order.

Tap Info to print photo information (shutter speed and

aperture) on all pictures in the print order.

Tap I_ to complete the print order and exit.

Pictures selected for printing are recognized by the

icon displayed with playback.

_1_ Notes on Printing Shooting Date and Photo Information

When the Date and Info options are enabled in the print set option, shooting date and photo

information are printed on pictures when a DPOF compatible printer ([_ 177) that supports

printing of shooting date and photo information is used.

• Photo information cannot be printed when the camera is connected directly to a printer, via the

supplied USB cable, for DPOF printing (_ 137),

• Note that Date and Info settings are reset when the print set option is displayed,

• The date printed is that recorded when the picture was taken,

Changing the camera's date using the Date option in the setup

menu after a picture has been taken has no affect on the date

printed on the picture.

wNotes on Print Set

When a print order is created in favorite pictures mode, auto sort mode, or list by date mode, the

screen shown below is displayed if pictures other than those in the selected album or category, or

taken on the selected shooting date, have been marked for printing,

•Select Yes to add pictures in the selected album or category, or taken on the selected shooting

date, to the existing print order.

• Select No to remove print marking from previously marked pictures and restrict the print order to

pictures in the selected album or category, or taken on the selected shooting date.

o_ If the total number of the pictures in a print order exceeds 99, the screen shown below will be

_- • Select Yes to remove pictures previously added from the print order and restrict the print order to

pictures just marked.

_- • Select Cancel to remove the pictures just added from the print order and restrict the print order to

pictures previously marked.

[] Canceling Existing Print Order

Tap Delete print set in step 3 of"Print Set (Creating a DPOF Print Order)" (_ 94) to remove print

marking from all pictures and cancel the print order.

[] Date Imprint

When date and time of recording are irnprintect on pictures using the Date imprint option

(_ 144) in the setup menu, pictures are recorded with shooting date and time imprinted on the

picture when they are taken, Pictures with the date imprinted on them can be printed from printers

that do not support printing of the date on pictures.

Only the date and time imprinted on pictures with the date imprint option will be printed, even if

the Print set date option is enabled,

Play back pictures stored in the internal memory or on a memory card one by one

in an automated "slide show/'

1 Tap Start.

To cha nge the interval between pictures, tap Frame intvl

and select the desired interval before tapping Start.

To repeat the slide show automatically, tap Loop before

choosing Start. A check mark (_) will be added to the

loop option when enabled.

Tap a control to perform the corresponding operation. The following operations are

available.

Rewind

Advance

Pause

End

Use Description

I_1 Touch and hold I_1 to rewind.

D Touch and hold I_1 to advance.

Pause playback.

The following operations can be performed while playback is

paused using the controls displayed at right in the monitor.

_Rewind slide show back one frame. Touch and

Q__rarr/e. Touch and

End playback and return to the playback menu.

Notes on Slide Show

•Only the first frame of movies included in slide shows is displayed.

• Even when loop isselected, the slide show will only be played for a maximum of 30 minutes

(11i__49). 97

Delete (Deleting Multiple Pictures)

I-_ button (Playback mode) -_ _ (Playback menu) -) _/Delete

Delete selected pictures or all pictures.

Select images

Select pictures from the picture selection screen and delete them. See "Selecting

Pictures" (_] g9) for more information.

Erase all images t

Delete all pictures. In favorite pictures, auto sort, or list by date mode, all pictures in

the selected album or category, or taken on the selected date currently played back

are deleted.

_1_ Notes on Deletion

• Once deleted, pictures cannot be recovered, Transfer important pictures to a computer before

deleting them,

• Pictures marked with the @_] icon are protected and cannot be deleted ([.]_ 100).

Selecting Pictures

Tile picture selection screen like that shown at right is

displayed with tile following menu selections:

• Playback menu: Print set>Select images (_ 94),

Delete>Select images 1_ 98),

Protect (_ ]00), and

Copy>Selected images (_ ] 00)

•Setup menu: Welcome screen >Select an image 1_ 140/

Follow tile procedures described below to choose pictures.

1 Tap the desired picture to select and tap again

to deselect,

Only one picture can be selected for Welcome screen.

Tap O_ or rotate the zoom control to T(¢_)to switch to

full-frame playback. Tap [] or rotate the zoom control to

W (_;_) to switch back to 64humbnail display.

When picture isselected, a check mark (_) is displayed in

the top left corner of the picture.

When selecting pictures for Print set, tap El or n to specify the number of copies for

each.

2Tap !_ to apply picture selection.

When Select images is selected, a confirmation dialog is displayed. Follow the

instructions displayed in the monitor.
